Yeah I gotta agree... I think he got eaten by his shoes.
Seriously Lupa, what was that from?

Goodness me, a splendid look at a glorious mess. As an editor of TV commercials (and semi-frequent user of the pre-made digital backdrops that this movie reminds me of), this made me facepalm pretty hard. I will have to find out someday whether this (and Blood Red Moon, for that matter) was a student film that somehow got a DVD release, perhaps for winning a school contest of some sort. I must admit, I'd like to see the whole thing one day, but might wait till the price goes down by at least five bucks!
Dead-on use of green screen, by the way. The singing and the Family Guy moment were a nice touch, too. Also, this definitely one movie who scenes are even funnier/crazier when being described in words. (I can only wonder what the directions in the script were like...assuming there was one.)
Oddly enough, this reminds me of an unfinished She-Hulk fan film called "Shamelessly", which takes a similar approach (green screening, digital backgrounds), but with a lot more talent and effort. There are numerous rough-cut scenes on YouTube, in various stages of completion, if you want to check it out for comparison's sake. The writer/producer has been busy with other things for years, but I hope he finishes it someday....

08.12.2012 - 23:44 | MintaroI just had a crappy let down of a day, and needed a good laugh. Thank you so much for supplying it. This movie is very...special. Its so bad I almost feel bad for laughing at it. Almost.

This movie made my brain bleed. :(
Great review, though. :) It's like a first-year Film and Animation student's final project. Pay a little extra $$ for rigged models, textures, and maybe some default animations, let your friends do some acting, and voila! Movie! Or "movie," as I'd call it.
... Ugh, the thought of some of those scenes is making me dry heave. 8[

So while I was attending possibly the worst film class at an otherwise amazing film school (USC) this "Bulk" director came into our class to show us how you don't have to go mainstream and that as an independent filmmaker you can do wonders...then he screened a scene from this. The room was just frozen in horror because this guy was dead fuckin serious.
He also apparently spent an obnoxious amount of cash making this thing as it was his passion project, just flabbergasting.
I almost forgot about that day but to see that it has actually been released just made those memories flood back!
Great review as always :)

I have been subjected to a series of images and sounds that my brain will not process as real. I am literally sitting here at my computer with my jaw permanently agape. This film is not what I'd expect from a first week of computer class. It's not what I expect from a cat at a keyboard. This film looks so much worse.
And it is the greatest thing ever.

Dear God! The WTF factor in this movie is through the roof!
I have only one thought... well, okay, I have two:
- I think somebody went to a bunch of computer animation college classes and took every unused student project they could jam into a memory stick. All those poor, poor student projects...
- In fact... I think these people intentionally set out to create a "So Bad, It's Good" movie. There is no other explanation. Funny thing is, I think they nearly succeeded. The only thing missing is that sense of baffling gravitas that occupanies the true "So Bad It's Good" movies, because true movies of that nature are made by directors with absolutely no clue of their own lack of talent.
This one... I think they knew what they were doing. They had to... They just HAD to... or else the universe makes no sense... no sense at all.

Lupa, I love your videos but you really have to compress your videos to a decent file size. 500MB is waaaaaay too big.

08.13.2012 - 06:47 | WerrfThere must be something wrong with the upload. I clicked play, saw the ads, then flickers of Lupa against a background, but no clips from the movie. Also, I appear to have lost 30 minutes of my life somewhere, with absolutely no memory of what happened in that time. But surely there can't be a movie out there that is so indescribable that my brain can't process it...there must be something wrong with the upload...right???

08.13.2012 - 07:23 | DithyrambusOh, no. No, no, no, no, no. Nope. Nah-ah. Not a real movie. Nooooo, sir. Can't be. I can almost believe Birdemic in the wake of this.
No. Niet. Nein. Non. Iie. Oxi.
What' s...happening...to...the. ..world?

Ooooh wow.......just wow.
Where are on Earth did you find this Lupa?
Birdemic doesn't even fail in comparison to the level of bad movie making that this movie has. No offense to your review but I had to stop the video at times to let my brain sink in that this movie actually existed.
You outdid yourself this time Lupa.

You are not witty or humorous in the least Lupa. And take some anti-depressants or something you depress me just looking at you.

One of the reasons I love Channel Awesome is that their reviewers do more than critique. They give sound and logical reasons as to why they, personally, do or don't like what they are reviewing.
That being said, I see we have an up and coming reviewer. "Shitty movie + Shitty reviewer=Shitty Video content overall." Very eloquently stated as to why I should dislike Lupa or her reviews. Well, I guess you also she's "not witty or humorous," and some comment that makes no sense. Why should she take the anti-depressants if you're the one being made depressed?
Ah well, I'm beginning to rant. My apologies.

This is obviously an attempt to make a so-bad-it-is-good movie.
For something similar, but done MUCH better and seriously funny, I highly recommend "The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra" and the TV series "Garth Marenghi's Darkplace"
Oh, and Dudeman: Go away.

Lupa! This shit is the very reason I freaking look forward to your reviews. This obscure pile of purple crap is EXACTLY what I needed today. The only thing that could make this more epic is if Radu reviewed it... Thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, it was called xavier: renegade angel.
It was the first thing I thought of when I starting watching Lupa's review.

I’m with ya on this one, Lupa. It’s like everyone involved in this movie never heard of practical sets or the word “quality.” I still can’t believe someone actually made a Hulk rip-off, and put it on DVD. This should have only been a Hulk fan film you would most likely find on YouTube, and then forget about it after watching it.
2:17- WHERE THE HELL WERE THE LAWSUITS AGAINST THIS “FILM”!?!?!?
There’s a reason why Sin City and its use of green screen worked, and this film doesn’t have it. This film has crappier special effects than those of Phelous. …Please don’t hurt me for insulting your boyfriend, Lupa (shacking in terror while typing this).
6:30- This is more like something I’d see in a live action PBS Kids show, not a superhero knockoff.
9:44- When do we get to the part where the dog explodes because of global warming?
14:00- And what happened to Hank’s tattoo after he became The Bulk? “Great continuity! =P”
16:56- And also, no driver.
18:44- This is like the GameCube they used in “X-treme Fighter.”
21:10- HERE’S a good idea, movie. Have a point. It makes it so much more interesting for the viewer.
25:00- Why was this film made and released in the first place?
I’ve called Birdemic an instructional video on how NOT to make a movie, and I’m calling this film "How NOT To Make a Movie: Volume 2." Also, If I want something with a character named Bulk, I’ll stick with Power Rangers, thank you very much.
28:02- …What the hell just happened?
