I remember loving this movie when I was younger. I watched it about a year ago, and was amazed at how much I hated it. There is only one scene from this movie that sticks in my head. It is when Patrick Stewart is using the electric razor. I have no idea why its stuck, but it is. My brain works in mysterious ways.
The hat is absolutely adorable Lupa. Keep up the great reviews :) You are one of my favourite reviewers on this site

12.27.2010 - 00:08 | Dark PaladinI think the "I'm going to cook Babe for dinner" line is supposed to be a reference to the talking pig movie.

I was wondering if you were gonna put this episode on the site during Christmas time.
I've seen "Alaska," but I haven't watched "Angel."
I haven't seen "Masterminds" yet, but I can tell that the best part of this movie is Jean Luc Picard himself.
5:58- If Reb Brown WAS in this movie, all that we can hear is his loud rambling.
8:44- Just hearing this girl denying that the guys WITH GUNS is taking over the school makes me wanna ram my head through the wall.
I also enjoy the HOT TROPICAL SUN moment. Funny as hell.
I think he was shouting "UNITED!" because he's wearing that red polo shirt which looks like it's from a university.
I love how spunky you are in these videos, Lupa. Keep up the awesome work, and I hope you had a Merry Christmas.

That really was bizarre... and why exactly WAS that character wearing a Manchester United top under his suit? I mean, OK it gives some hint as to why he'd randomly shout that... but... it makes no sense.
But then, neither does a classically trained actor being in this film.
Still rather droll.

12.27.2010 - 07:53 | TrencherIs he a United fan?
Great review!
-
12.27.2010 - 08:16 | The Last Man In EuropeYeah, it was because he was wearing a Manchester United strip.
I don't know why he chose that moment to reassert his support for the club at that exact moment.
However his obviously not being from Manchester makes his support of Manchester United all the more accurate. Spike from Buffy also represents this trend.

12.27.2010 - 10:37 | USdaveUKGreat review as always Lupa! Having been an avid fan of Angel, I was under the impression that was Kartheiser's first real acting job. I don't know why, but knowing he did this before kinda makes me sad...
As for the Manchester United Football (Soccer) shirt, my guess is it is some reference to 80s/90s Hooliganism. This film came out 3 years after USA hosted the world cup so American awareness of the sport, including its negative aspects was on the rise. Obviously being British, and evil, the character would also be a football hooligan!
Saying that, Sir Patrick is on record as a Huddersfield fan (which is the largest town near to his birthplace AND where he is chancellor of the local University), so why United was chosen is anyone's guess.
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/and all that to everyone at TGWTG!

No, seriously, loved this vid, especially all the 90s stuff. Pretty sure the cobweb room was 90s stuff, too, what with shows like Are You Afraid of the Dark and Goosebumps being so popular. That's the only explanation I can think of.
Lol, I can't believe this was a kid's movie. Just because you go out of your not to blow up people doesn't make rocket launchers and guns ok to use XP
UNITED!!!!! (lol)
