Yeah I think Mary Magdalene would be better since she was the reformed sinner, and Black Widow after she met Clint Barton later on changed her ways.
So if anyone is going to be Black Widow it would definitely be Mary Magdalene.
Though I wonder who they would have to be Thor, Loki would definitely have to be Judas Iscariot of course.

Psh! Of course dogs can use guns! Haven't you ever played Jet Force Gemini? They use knives, too! Just play Tales of Vespiria!
And about Wal-Mart, yeah, you're right. Every Wal-Mart I've ever been in, I've only ever seen like 4 employees in the store at once. Wal-Mart sucks, I only go there because there's nowhere else for video games in my town anymore.
You know, it's guys like that "dentist" that make people afraid to go to real dentists. The worst feeling I've ever experienced in a dentist's chair is mild discomfort from the drill for a filling, but these freaks make everyone hyper-paranoid to even be near a person who has dental training.

1. Holy hell, this guy needs to start adding "Baby in the car safely and unharmed" to his black friday shopping checklist.
2. If there is ever a code of honor amongst black friday robbers... that shit is definitely nowhere in there about robbing people (especially tweens) walking out of bed, bath, and beyond.
3. Oh yeah sure pepper spray gets all the attention last year, but this is my first time hearing of a gun being pulled this year?? God damn either I'm missing out on the news a whole lot, or else they're not understanding what should be on the headlines! (Also speaking from experience of working during a Walmart black thursday/friday, I'm only surprised the walmart i worked at didn't have some sort of a shopper capacity because it was fucking packed!)
4. for a moment I thought you meant an actual meth lab in a walmart bathroom until you further explained the story. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to cover a bit more ground commercially, even if it is a bit of a black market.
5. Got my florida shot now! Also, it's obvious this poor woman doesn't go to the dentist that often if she's been told to take her pants off. This would really be funny if it was Peter Griffin instead.
6. Sorry I was going at 134 mph! I was reading the Gospel according to Matthew, chapter 13, verse 4! ... oh shit.

They were called the Disciples, then the Apostles.
No, their accounts were not all that different. For nearly 2000 years now, the accounts of what happened with Jesus Christ have been meticulously and carefully translated with 98% accuracy since they were written. If you are speaking of the Gnostic gospels, they differ because they were mostly written one hundred years after the first gospels, and the writers had no knowledge of Jesus personally.
No, God does not tell people to act like idiots. He does talk to normal people though.
No, Paul did NOT hate women. He did not denigrate women, nor run them down. He said that wives should respect their husbands and husbands should love their wives. Neither of those precludes husbands respecting their wives, nor wives loving their husbands. He was asking each partner to give to the other what they seem to need most.
Of course, he also advocated that men take responsibility in the home for what happens. Gee, how terrible, that men take responsibility in the home. We see how men making babies and abandoning them has worked out so well for every one involved, or men not taking a leadership role has been of such wonderful use to our society. Yep, that Paul, he sure did hate women. So much he advocated that men actually stick around, love their wives, and be a responsible leader in the home. Yep, that's downright abuse right there.

Original Gospels were written at least 30 to 50 years after the alleged life of Jesus. And there was a lot more gospel, these four were chosen because they best suit the selected official story. And you know that even then, no one knew whether Jesus was really the son of God or just a man, there were many Christian sects, each with their own versions of Jesus' life. And I would not call them historically accurate, especially parts with Herod and the alleged killing of innocent children (only one of many examples).
"But God does not tell people to act like idiots. He does talk to normal people though."
God is talking to normal people, it's interesting, always with the people who already believe in him. Do you know any of them.
Paul did not hate women, but it seems to me that he did not consider them equals to men. To me the more interesting, are the Apostles opinions about slavery and its approval (but since I'm a miserable atheist maybe I did not understand the "true message").
And you also sound a bit like you do not believe in gender equality (and sounds a bit sexist). Do you feel that women are unable to take the lead.
Or I have gained the wrong impression because I'm stupid theological uneducated atheist.

12.01.2012 - 23:54 | Bouncing BoyLone Wolf kind of said this, but I'm going to make some other points he didn't make. Not all Jews look like American Jews who are of European stock and spent thousands of years in areas where there is less sun exposure than there is in Africa and the Middle East.
There were African Jews in biblical times. Remember the Jews did spend a long time in Egypt, which is in Africa and there were also Jews in Ethiopia. There are some theories that the Virgin Mary was a Black Jew from Africa, since there is no description of her genealogy in the bible, only Joseph's.

There is no archaeological evidence that Jews have lived in Egypt (and certainly no evidence that they were slaves, and that they lived in such large numbers), also the Egyptians were not black people (at least the vast majority).Unfortunately, the Bible is not accurate history book as much as you wanted to believe it.

Exactly, yeah God will test people or challenge them, but its usually to measure thier character or faith. Like Abraham for example, when God asked him to sacrifice his son, God didn't REALLY want him to kill his own son, but just wanted to know how deeply his faith and trust in him was that he was willing to do that.
And when God saw that he was that was when he sent an angel down to go "Whoah, okay chill out! He believes you! He believes you! We cool!"
So yeah, if you ever hear something you think is from God that involves harming yourself or others for any reason, THEN I think you should really talk to a spiritual councelor to make sure if this is really how God is testing you or that you might need some meds.
-
"God did not really want him to kill his own son, but just wanted to know how deeply his faith and trust in him was that he was willing to do that."
I guess you can not see how this sounds bad. Are you saying that your faith may be so deep that you have to be capable of killing your own child. This is simply wrong, no matter how you try to justify.
I would have refused such a thing, because no faith is worth killing a child (and this should be the right answer)
-
In addition to the killing of around 3000 people for making the golden calf and turning away from God, and the various genocides in conquering the promised land, but I guess that killing infidels is not counted as the killing of innocents. and so on.But I suppose you'll already have some kind of justification and interpretation for it.

12.01.2012 - 23:58 | Bouncing BoyI haven't heard that the gospels were named after them, and not written by them. But I do want to point out that while Mathew and John were Disciples and Apostles, Mark and Luke were not. Mark is first mentioned in the book of Acts, he heard Jesus speak as a child; and Luke was a student of Paul's, and had never actually met Jesus.

So... in that first story, if the guy left the kid in the car, does that mean he attempted to walk home with the flatscreen TV?
What kind of a fucking idiot does that, I mean who the hell FORGETS they drove their? The mall must've been pretty far if he had to go by car.
Good thing the kid was asleep otherwise he would've realised he just got ditched for a flatscreen TV. I can only assume the guy's girlfriend broke up with him afterwards. Geez, this is sounding like an episode of Seinfeld... or Curb Your Enthusiasm.

To me it seems that there is probably nothing illegal to have a gun with you all the time (I do think it's really really stupid though), but to wave it around should at least get you arrested for making illegal threats to other people??
Or is it okay in America that you can say that you kill someone's sorry ass and all of his neighbours if you just don't do it?
In Finland that would be highly illegal.
And the term here is "an illegal threat", because there are people who can legally make threats like "stop or I shoot". And those people are police officers.

About the woman who says that God told her to do that stuff, I say, why not? Why does it sound "too esoteric to be true"? Has anyone read the Bible? There are far less believable things God has told people to do, that people would think they were nuts, as people do with this woman. God commands the slaughter of homosexuals and other categories of people. I don't think commanding a woman to drive like a maniac is much of a stretch, people.

12.03.2012 - 13:22 | Kat99I've lived in Texas for 6 or 7 years now and I don't own a gun. Yeah, I'm surprised I haven't gotten one by now either lol
I live about an hour and a half away from San Antonio, and I'm sure the guy didn't get in worse trouble because (besides the permit) he didn't shoot anyone. If he did, then he would have been arrested for murder and would have lost the permit. I'm a little surprised he didn't get in trouble for brandishing his gun, but I guess a gun permit here lets you get away with that too *shrug*

i love the look of dawning horror when Nash realizes that he might have a single brain cell worth of creative kinship with Kelly Underwood. I sympathize; my boss marathons twangy country music with annoying frequency, and if that style of "music" isn't your thing then you can only hear 'Jesus Take The Wheel' or "I Love You -This- Big' so many times before you start wanting to kill something. Slooowwly.
