02.01.2012 - 07:26 | LighticeFor the number two's defense, the guy looks like he's at the brink of starvation. I'd steal some tacos at knifepoint too if I was about to collapse from denutrition.
And I'm sure that there's more than one ambassador in the UN trafficing cocaine. They've done worse. As in murder and human trafficing.
Doesn't #2 of your rules fit in to the category #1? The last time I checked sexual assault qualified as "people hurting other people".

You know what really made the video?
Everybody to the Limit. I know, I'm easily pleased, just play the Strong Bad Sings album and I get giddy.

16kg (~35lb) of cocaine? Snowflame would be proud. Speaking of, it was awesome seeing the chat explode with "SNOWFLAME!!!", when we previewed the episode.
Yeah, Nash has kinda violated that first one a lot, but when he has it was always stories where the persons involved REALLY should have known better, like the chicken nugget story here.

So what on earth was that crazy blob woman from? It looks familiar, but I don't remember where I've seen that before. (Note: I refuse to just google it, because the last time I googled the description of any clip involving a human female with an improbable physiology I had to scour my brain.)
Diplomatic immunity is stupid. Really stupid. There are so many cases of it being abused for everything from speeding tickets, to smoking on airplanes, to freaking kidnappings.

Thank you for the religion and politics skit, you pretty much perfectly encapsulated just how dense a lot of people on the internet get about it. I don't blame you for minimising the headaches...when you see how mental people can get over My Little Pony never mind important topics like faith and politics it really makes you weep for the species.

Love this show. I hate jokes about rape. It is not funny and I hate it especially when it is used to make a point about something. My least favorite is the Aquaman sketch on Family Guy when a woman is being raped and Aquaman does nothing, even though ANYONE could get out of the water and kick the Rapist's ass. Rape is not funny, it is mean and cruel and should be abolished from humanity.

02.01.2012 - 11:50 | Spacedin
Agreed. Rape or any other kind of assault or abuse is never funny.
For the record, Family guy seems to be famous for jokes like that. Never Mind the way they portray women in general and how they treat the daughter. I was appalled when they portrayed the main characters as Japanese and the father slapped his wife across the face. So wife-beating is supposed to be funny? >:C
-
Oh god this one was hilarious but still painful.
Poor SpaceGuy he lost his spaceship again in the story. One day he will be forced to buy the Millenium Falcon to continue to be in orbit around earth.
Oh and i loved the live show, i was also surprised to see that much French people in the chat. Seems that you're French audience is growing Nash.
Maybe it's my fault.
Just maybe.....

Nice to see the old format again (not that the live version is bad or anything, but still...)
Anyway, I'll have to keep these limits in mind when I find some a story worth sporking...
As for the stories:
1- WHERE WERE HER PARENTS IN ALL THIS?! Sure, I like my processed foods, but even I know you should eat fruits and vegetables too! *SIGH* There should be a test to become parents...
2- Hey, it's Chester! Also, how does a breakfast taco work anyway?
3- *Facepalm* Wow, just wow...
4- ...I'm beginning to think diplomatic immunity should have more of a limit... and was this guy working for Snowflame or something?
5- *Facepalm... again*
As for limits...
1- ...Is it wrong I found a burning Stickboy funny? ...Never mind.
2- Aw... kitty! Also, sexual assaults aren't funny, I get that. (There goes one of my story suggestions...)
3- Poor Spaceguy... and poor Nash... um... get well soon?
-
02.01.2012 - 14:59 | LighticeI read about the number 1 in some news source, where it was told that her parents had tried their best to get her eat something else, but if she didn't get nuggets she pretty much starved herself, and didn't eat anything.
Sometimes a psychological disorder can't be beaten by attentive parents, though they should have gotten her medical attention sooner.

I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna make a crass religious observation:
"Religious people who can't laugh are the first ones who go out with a bomb strapped to them while shopping at Wal-Mart."
Now that I've neglected to mention any religion at all, EVERY religion will feel my comment was meant for them and them alone.
-
Indeed, it is called a sense of humor. That and you might have described a few folks a little too on the nose than most care to admit.
-
02.02.2012 - 22:45 | Andy Frogman
Let me answer this with a sarcastic message:
"I'm laughing right now, because I know my religion is right and doesn't do that sort of thing and the extremists who do, are only claiming to be a part of my religion, but bare no reflection to the truth of what our faith teaches. So I find it amusing because you are obviously talking about someone else"
But seriously. People supposedly have faith or subscribe to a religion because they believe it's right. Any commentary or insults should wash right off them, because as far as they are concerned what they believe is right. It shouldn't matter what a non-believer says.
I find some religious jokes funny, most in fact, but regardless of the joke, a direct insult to a person of any religion offends me, whether they are attacking Christians, Muslims, Hindus, or Buddhists, because rather than it offend me for being a Christian, it offends me as a human that so many people can be so ignorant, disrespectful and intolerant.

Let me just get the rundown:
1. Good god! I loved Chicken McNuggets when I was a kid, but goddamn! A diet of nothing but that!? It's even a miracle this kid didn't even get fat all those years. Dr. Oz, Dr. Drew, hell, any doctor is facepalming after seeing this.
2. Damn bums! Why ya gotta be like this!? oh hai, Chester.
3. *facepalm* Either those officers are blind as hell, or they have the attention span of a goldfish!
4. Diplomatic immunity? Your license just got revoked! Oh wait, you're too fucked up to be coherent or anything.
5. I remember this story on CNN! I didn't think this was funny, but thank god these kids didn't actually succeed.
Now for your limitations:
1. Yeah, people getting hurt is funny, but only if the results were. People gang assaulting, police brutality, and abuse to the max, not funny. Just very frowned upon and not cool.
2. Rape ain't funny neither. Violating someone isn't funny.
3. Yeah, people go completely apeshit if their religion or political party is the target of ridicule. I was born under Christianity and with Republican parents I guess, but I'm more spiritual with my beliefs, and I keep politics OUT!
With that, people really should learn their limits. Period.
Oh yeah, PUSH IT TO THE LIMIT FHQWGADS!

I was honestly surprised the girl in 1 didn't look like she had eaten such a limited diet- maybe I didn't take a good glimpse, but from that description I was expecting someone really fat, or who looked really sickly. She looked pretty regular... I guess that I'm just generally ignorant as far as nutrition goes.
Anyhow, informative of you to share those ground rules, especially since they're pretty good rules to follow if you don't want to cause internet shitstorms. Even if it did get poor SpaceGuy in trouble with the Qelfrakkians... but then again, what rightminded person cares about THEIR opinion? Fnarp them right up the zuqqurs, AMIRITE or AMIRITE?

Have you completely lost your faith in humanity yet?
Ooh, McNuggets...The only thing I will go within 50 feet of a McDonalds for. (Where I live, people are embarrassed to be seen at a MacDonalds because if anyone sees you there, they'll think you're poor (insert skin color) trash. There's also the collective body odor of the homeless).
However I'm calling BS on that article, as it was created by a British tabloid called The Sun & then redirected through FOX News. Both lie, especially The Sun. Charlie Brooker will back me up on that. (Actually Nash, I think you'd like Brooker's Newswipe/Screenwipe).
Space Guy got DDoseD like a Maplestory server.
Come on Fhqwhgads, said come on Fhqwhgads....
