Yeah, but botox is still worse. Imagine going up to someone using an iron lung due to eating botulism-tainted food, and telling them you intentionally had that toxin injected into your head.

I know this has nothing to do with the comment I'm replying too, I just really think people need to see this.
And it probably wont get seen buried on the second or 3rd page.

This is why Lady Ga Ga is a disgusting attention whore that needs to be stopped.
This is fucken disgusting... sad thing is all her "little monsters" (ga ga fans) will surely buy this crap and make her think she did something good.
This just floors me... so disgusting.

Seriously think next time.

02.24.2011 - 21:28 | TBTabbyIt goes back much further than the 1950s. In the 16th century, women wore makeup that contained mercury, borax, nightshade and lead.

Eh, but did women honestly have a choice in that? That era was not exactly known for women having a voice or a choice in what the social standards were, and you would be horribly judged and looked down on as classless if you did not wear it. Men chose that as the beauty standard, Doctors at the time supported its use as safe and totally necessary, and women just had to follow or risk looking bad socially.
Current day women, whose lives will not be destroyed by not following one certain standard, have a choice. Doctors are not supporting this. It just makes it seem so much worse as we are modern society and should know better. *hangs head*

Quite a late reply I know, but modern corsets aren't actually built along the same lines as the old fashioned harmful ones. You'd have to go pretty far out of your way to get one tailored like that. Most corsets these days, the type you'd find in a store, don't really do any more to constrict than a snug fitting pair of jeans.
Might be slightly uncomfortable if you're not used to it, and you certainly wouldn't want to wear one on a trans-atlantic flight, but not harmful.

No make-up, no fancy hair products, no perfume. I sort of like to keep my organs functional, and not breathe in poisons.

Hey Nash. Good video.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but it looks unprofessional when you continuously have to check the script you have off screen. I think if you interspersed more video between your clips you could get away with shorter dialogues so you don't have to keep glancing off screen at the script.
Other than that, keep up the good work! These videos are always great.

Hey, Nash, your hair is beautiful and shiny! Use any carcinogens for it?
Btw, lead has been used in make-up since at least 4000 BC. Okay, granted, they probably didn't know it was bad for you back then. But they SHOULD know now. Turns out, they still use it. Apparently L'Oréal is one of the worst offenders. Because you're worth it.

I understand why bull semen is used - it's because it's hugely expensive, and in the realm of beauty, the more expensive something is the better it must be. Celebrity endorsed beauty creams cost hundreds of dollars a pop, yet their effects are unproven....but a celebrity put their name to it, it must be good!!!!
Damn magazines, they trade in insecurity and people's desire to be famous....any small connection to that supposed celebrity lifestyle is considered desirable.
