Poor bluesmile guy... he got rejected so hard by Lupa just because hes unstable financial condition. She was just interested in his money. And who talked about mary or have children, he just wanted somone to love, he felt in true love for her and it doesn't mean he wanted to have kids with her.

Nash... you're a very smart, very funny man, but I have to say something about that last story.
Women abusing their male partners is the most under-reported crime in the US. Do you know why? It's because of BS stereotypes about the man always deserving it when a woman maims them. Women beating men in public goes ignored. Women audience members in the Oprah Show responded with LAUGHTER when a horrified man was recounting his girlfriend pouring melted wax on his crotch. Even the law favors women in court when they've outright disfigured their husbands or boyfriends because "they must've done something."
You just perpetuated this. You just perpetuated a key part in spousal abuse continuing by repeating the stereotype that allows it.
So Nash, on behalf of all men who have suffered and continue to suffer silently because they know nobody will believe them, and all men who can't trust women because they know that if they are abused they can't do anything about it, I ask you:
What the FUCK is wrong with you?!
-
02.11.2011 - 17:13 | aunt_zeldaYeah, if the story had been about a MAN setting his GIRLFRIEND on fire, I doubt he'd have put it on the show. Double-standards suck.
Abuse is abuse, regardless of who's perpetrating it or who they're abusing.

03.06.2011 - 22:44 | LëzenKudos to you for making such a highly relevant point. Men in today's society are so highly demonized as being nothing more than heavy-handed rape machines that nobody takes it seriously when a man has been abused by a woman. I actually know a guy (middle-aged) where I work who has shown up to work with bruises on many occasions. And I know it's his wife; I've witnessed how much of a mega bitch she is to him.
And just look at how Tyler Perry came out to Oprah and told how he had been sexually abused not only by men, but a woman as well. Society's dated concept that women are all innocent little angels (and, by extension, that men are EEEEEEVILLLLLL RAAAAPISSSSSTS!!!) should be abolished. Total equality between woman and man will never exist otherwise.

About six months late to the argument, but I would like to point out that although there are a large amount of men who don't report getting abused by their female partners, there are still huge numbers of women who don't report getting abused by their male partners, and you'll find that the ratio is still skewed so that more women are getting abused then men. This doesn't mean that female on male rape is okay or that women can do whatever they like to their boyfriends or spouses, but until recently in Western society women didn't even have the legitimacy to complain, make a report or even be taken seriously when trying to confess to being a victim of abuse. We're talking less than 50 years ago, here. Women have long been treated inferiorly or disrespectfully by both lawful and ethical standards in society, and in many countries women are still stoned to death when they are raped because law dictates that it is their fault. Case in point, in a lot of countries, men have had greater protection from rape much longer than women have.
The reason why male-on-female abuse is treated more delicately than female-on-male is because this foundation of inequality has yet to be righted, and yet I can absolutely assure you that the same people who are criticising Nash now for reporting the kind of female-on-male-abuse stories in this way now would could him misogynistic if he treated the opposite in a similar way. And to be fair, he's always been fairly equal handed in bashing both men and women who do violent and stupid things, so calling him a hypocrite is in itself insensible and inane.

And about two months after your response, I think I speak for everyone when I ask... what?
We are not talking about other countries. We are not talking about India or Arabia. Why is that relevant in any way whatsoever? We are talking about the modern Western world. Not 50 years ago, now. In the modern western world, a woman can almost kill her husband and still walk away with everything in the divorce settlement. It has happened before, and continues to happen, and will continue to happen until society learns that not every man is a rapist waiting to happen.
Let's say that your utterly stupid conclusion that "women being repressed for most of history = okay for them to abuse men now" is valid. Then let's paint a hypothetical picture in history in obedience to Godwin's Law. Let's say that WWII ended. The Holocaust was brought to a grinding halt. Now let's say that the Jewish survivors and supporters returned the favor by reopening the death camps and murdering Germans by the millions. Would that be considered okay? Of course fucking not! That'd be ludicrous! But under the logic you're using, it would be perfectly fine because they were just doing the same thing that their oppresors used to do. So why are you bringing up civil rights history as if it justifies ANY of this?
As for us calling Nash a hypocrite "is in itself insensible," when Nash covered a man beating his girlfriend and torching his house, he didn't say that the girl "must've done something." You completely miss the goddamn point. How about you actually pay attention before typing next time?

Of ALL the god damn things you could use to preserve a body, GASOLINE!? And on top of that, to wire a gasoline soaked body to electricity? The worst part is that's not the worst story I've heard on this show T_T
But what kind of man willingly goes to get a circumcision? Don't they know that's the best part? Plus their foreskin will be sold to cosmetics companies to make high end face cream.

Aww Nash that is so cute that you have a picture of JO on your laptop for the review.
For those of you who don't know, Nash and JO are dating, making them the first official Thatguywitheglasses couple.
The picture was just there as a Valentines Day thing for him. That is sweet. See crazies of the world, all you have to do is post a picture of that special someone on your absurdly popular internet review series.
Oh snap I should do that *begins making internet review series*

Instead of "I Love Lucy",it's now "I love Lupa"
Stick boy and Todd In The Shadows better be careful with Apollo Z Hack or else somebody's going to get a serious hackdown.
Not that I blame the both of them for having the "hots" for her,but to me the hottest female is PUR.
Before this can get any creepier,I'll move on.
This episode is called Tainted Love and no mention of Marylin Manson's song?! I am disappoint. I prefer his version of the song over the original.
Ouch!! I can't decide which is more painful:getting you dick chopped off or having it literally melt away. Either way, those two guys have officially lost all reason to live.
Me personally I would rather get a vasectomy:I don't want to have any children at all.
The old lady should have used ice to preserve the body.
These were some disturbing scaring choices.
I don't think I will be able to eat a hotdog without the mental image.

02.11.2011 - 02:31 | EvilAshTwinIf I had stopped to think about it, I wouldve sent you an article about a guy who put his own wife on the Terrorist Watchlist. He works for a version of Homeland security and his wife was visiting family in the Middle East. Apparently she was really annoying him and he did want her to come home.

The circumcision story reminds me of a case up here in Canada in the 60s. I'm not going to go into detail here, but if you look up David Reimer, it is an interesting (and heartbreaking) read.
I have to agree, with a previous commenter. The timing of the hot dog joke was a little slow. Great joke just a little off. Granted with the rest of the jokes being pitch perfect, it's not ruining anything.
I was quite happy to guess Stage Two correctly before it was on screen. I loved the Nightmare Before Christmas poster in Lupa's room. I've never seen that one before. I really wish Lupa had used the flamethrower. Everything is better with flamethrowers
HAHAHAHA The Todd cameo was amazing!
