Good commentary. I didn't totally hate the pilot but I could see why and it is cheesy bad. Not as bad as like Superman 3 or 4 or Batman and Robin or there movie squeals that had ad comic ties that were really bad. Someone should on site one day Aquaman pilot never aired or that Gen 13 Animated Movie. Even maybe fox's Gen X movie which had budge of 12 dollars (look like it did at times)

10.08.2011 - 23:20 | HankManI would have though Nash of all people would have gotten used to hearing crazy by now. And what is this strange time called "Before internet" of which Linkara speaks?
"My head hurts, my blood pressure has spiked, and I've completely forgotten how to do long division"
Translation: Just another Monday night.
And I'm glad I'm not the only person in the world who WOULD limbo under a security beam if I was three inches tall.

Before Internet-It was a mysterious world that the elders spoke of.
Where people met each other face to face whether in conflict or in friendship and strange documents called "Letters" were sent to you and it would take days before they arrived (longer provided you got the address written wrong) and instead of webshows you sat down and watch a actual scripted tv show on a television set. o.o'
And instead of Live-Journal and blogs, you had these wordless tomes called "diaries' and 'journals" that you wrote your thoughts and feelings and ideas on, with something called a pen.
Though most would recommend pencil in case you made a mistake.
Doubt me if you will, but its a real place, I was there once as a child. IT EXISTS! D:

The guy who played the Weatherman also voiced the Weather Wizard in Superman TAS and JLU.

Oh my God! This was one of my favorite Crossovers ever. I still want to get a Bootleg DVD of this for my own.
Also, a bit of irony because of this review I learned of a comci called "I Can't Believe it's Not The Justice League" and I just bought it off HAlf.com 2 days ago and now ya'll've reposted this review and did a commentary!
So the Wonder Woman movie/Piolet has escaped! I want to see i now! Or at least read the review or plot outline!
I want to see you 2 do a crossover agian and review that old Live Action Superfirend thing ya'll admitted it on here you that one of ya'll owns it too on the same disc as this piolet!?
And the guy would played Weather-MAn on this movie did play a good guy in the long running TV series ER for years he was the hea dof the hospital! I remember this because I use to watch it with my mom when I was little it came on before Home Inprovement I do believe!
Also, One nit-pick Kyle was just coming out in the comics when this piolet was being produced as that's Kyle's Green Lantern logo on this costume! The half black half green one!

10.09.2011 - 00:25 | 10.0.0.1very nice review and commentary, both are as entertaining as always. from what is seen here I think the assessment that it could have been decant if done right is correct, there are some nice ideas in there between the bad ones. IE including real life issues for the superheros to deal with is something I think helps to ground a story, it makes the characters more relatable and lets them interact out of costume better but the key is to remember that that is not the main focus of the story.

This crossover was really fun and so was the commentary!
Both of you should definitely pair up again to review the Wonder Woman pilot. Just like the Justice League pilot, it has a nugget of potential buried under a big pile of dumb!
You think the pipe to the throat bit is bad? Wait until you see the pointless torture scene.

The guy who played the Weatherman in this is Miquel Ferrer, son of Jose Ferrer, who won an Oscar for playing Cyrano in the 50s. He often does play a villain-- Notably, he's the evil corporate bastard responsible for the RoboCop project. As someone else noted, he voiced the Weather Wizard in the Superman animated series, and at least once more in JUSTICE LEAGUE.
To abruptly change the subject, the only thing wrong with the 90s FLASH series was, they did their dead level best to make him as "dark and gritty" as they could, after Burton's BATMAN, but as a critic at the time said, "there's more to film noir than wet streets and neon lighting". And of course, everyone is NOT Batman!

The Real World first aired in 1992. They were ripping it off big time. Although they did beat The Office to using testimonials for "comedy," which is a terrifying thought. The confusion doesn't surprise me though, as this piece of crap looks like it was made in 1987 way more than it does 1997. Except Miguel Ferrer doesn't have hair.

I can one up these guys on stupid. I can't believe they didn't mention it. But, the Martian Man Hunter was played by David Ogden Stiers of M*A*S*H fame.
That's right boys and girls, someone was paid to cast Major Charles Winchester as The Martian Man Hunter. I'm guessing because Rush Limbaugh and Luciano Pavarotti had previous commitments.

The creepy boyfriend guy was also Mr. Universe in Serenity.

10.09.2011 - 21:02 | JimboIt's sad that I actually own a copy of this movie. I think my dad purchased it during a comic book convention. It was great for laughs though, and great for tears as well.
-
10.09.2011 - 21:22 | ThisHurtsMyBrainSo it's common for a tv repairman to stick wires back together with chewing gum instead of oh I don't know maybe soldering them back together? Maybe later we can see the JLA get ripped off paying $400 just to get their toilet line snaked out!

I know I commented on it for the original video, but to me, the Atom limboing under the laser beam was the stupidest scene of the movie. First, it would make more sense for him to just SHRINK MORE to fit under the beam. And then, when he does limbo, he does it BACKWARDS?!? I know the scene was put in for comedic effect, but that only works when it's FUNNY. Now, hitting yourself in the head with a hammer until the limbo scene makes sense, that's funny.
