I was hoping someone on the site would review this film. I remember seeing this film in the theatre. I also like the first Flintstones movie, but this film I forgot most to everything of it after seeing it.
My mind was also on WHY mode after knowing that Steven Baldwin played Barney. Damn you, "Bio-Dome."
3:09- I know how you feel, dude. =(
9:26- Good thing John Cho went on to play Harold in "Harold and Kumar" and Sulu in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek.
15:05- As a fully grown adult, I realize how stupid that moment is.
Great review, Mike.

I totally agree with you on this one! I love the origional mostly becaus eI was little when it came out and it's the Nostalgia there! But, this one I only saw it once and I hate it! It's just so unintereating! I normally like prequals but this is the one I could've lived without! If anything the one I'd like to see is a live action version of the later years of the Flintstones like when Pebbles and Bambam were teens! that'd be something they could do now-a-days!

I was waiting for SOMEBODY to get on this thing! The first movie was not a good movie per say, but was still ended up being a pretty okay flick overall and I wouldn't mind watching it once again for old time's sake but THIS was so bad that I only watched it once and almost couldn't finish it; the humor is juvenile and the plot way too predictable.
And I don't care what anybody says, Stephen Baldwin had NO business playing Barney.

I ... I don't see the reason to hate Stephen Baldwin in this. Granted, I'm not a big fun of him, but I thought he did a pretty decent Barney. The voice was just right. I mean, I love Rick Moranis, but I wasn't buying him as Barney.
Also I liked Gazoo ... though, that's probably cuss the very first episode of The Flinstones I ever saw was the one where they introduced Gazoo, so, that's entirely left for me to be, I guess, at fault.
All in all, I feel people are a little harsh towards this film. Harsh for an actual in depth look like how most people on this site review things.
Eh, could be just nostalgia kicking in.

YES , I thought we'll never see another Shameful Sequels episode , glad you didn't disappoint. ^^
the Rage faces were a nice touch (especially the "Forever Alone" face. XD ) , but you shouldn't have relayed on them too much , it makes you look too lazy to come up with original jokes.
other then that , I enjoyed your review , keep it up! ^^

I'm not sure if you have done this one yet, but this is a sequel that is shameful, shamelessly tries to plug as many references and bullshit tie-ins as possible and we sure as hell don't need it. Easily one of the WORST sequels I have ever seen to one of my most favorite and in my opinion overlooked and under appreciated movies ever. American Psycho. Believe it or not, there actually IS a American Psycho 2. It's one of those movies that is so bad and so disrespectful to the original you just have to see it to believe it. Would love to see you rip American Psycho 2 a new one Mike... it deserves it for even attempting to cash in on a better movie with something so ridiculous and just plain stupid.

The actors for Fred and Barny in the sequel can’t hold a candle to the Fred and Barny in the original film!

...
I really shouldn't be thinking about this, should I?

11.12.2011 - 11:20 | n00bdragonThe Forever Alone face was funny. After that the adding meme faces just felt forced and unfunny, which is sad because I was usually laughing right up until the meme face hit the screen. You're killing perfectly good jokes! Just let the line itself be funny without the added visual.

The writers have never watched the cartoon.
Wilma was never rich. They met because both Freddy and Wilma were looking for someone rich to marry so they could live on easy street. Both groups pretended to be rich. When they found out the truth, they didn't care by then ad got married anyway.
Come to think about it, it may have been a double wedding. I'm not certain.

I'm sorry, but is it really so bad to ask for originality in a show based on making fun of other people for their lack of originality? Now you're popping random badly drawn faces over yourself every time you make a joke. Yes I know it's an internet mime but... well that's the essence of being unoriginal if you think about it. The faces felt like a laugh track gag thrown in because you didn't think your jokes were funny enough to stand on their own. Seriously, does anyone get those faces? Does no on else see they're just horribly drawn blobs? Who even knows the origin of that joke?
