That line was probably my favorite part of the whole review. I always love Resident Evil references and it's all the better that more people are using them. =)
Calling this movie Ghoulies 4 is like calling Quest for the Mighty Sword "Troll 3." They have practically nothing to do with one another and is just named like that to attract fans of the other ones, provided they weren't already scared off by Ghoulies 3.
Anyway, nice job Mike. This one came out very quickly after your last one. Keep up the good work Mike. =D

So, I actually learned *three* things about Britain from this review:
1) "Ghoulies" means "Bollocks"
2) "Bollocks" means testicles (I just kinda assumed it was something a bit more scatological)
3) They apparently never got The Honeymooners over there.
...Seriously dude, just do a Youtube search of "Honeymooners Art Carney", and you'll see exactly what they were utterly failing to copy.

Jim Wynorski, director of Ghoulies IV, directed another sequel to a film he didn't direct, Munchies. The original film is about little Gremlin-ish creatures (they even make up for it all by making a Gremlins reference). But Jim's sequel, Munchie, involves this...

Seriously, this movie could be called Troll 5 (considering Troll 4 was already reviewed by Phelous and Cinema Snob)
Great review!
At least this movie had a good-looking dominatrix, although she could do her things more easily if she wore casual clothes. And they tried to put a lot of fighting scenes...

I would buy that in a second, were it not for the fact that the guy's costume is such an *exact* replica of Carney's iconic "Ed Norton" outfit that no one who's ever seen The Honeymooners" could possibly fail to instantly get the reference.
...In fact, between the Ed Norton clothes and the dominatrix's outfit, the costume design is the one and only thing you could argue this movie does compentently.
-
Wow, that dominatrix tripping on the tool box was an epic fail. I'll give her some credit, she makes the movie worth watching :P
Isn't it hard to run fast in high heels like those? I would think the act of trying to run would cause a trip.
Also mike didn't show the two little monsters macing her which is why she was chasing after them.
-
10.03.2011 - 13:30 | MoogletosserYou actually can run in high heels, it just takes practice. It also helps that a woman's hips usually give her more balance.
-
08.26.2010 - 18:24 | jayoThat sewer scene is kinda like that scene from the Super Mario Bros Movie!
And that woman looked like she was trying to stop to avoid hitting the toolbox!
