"And in here, Nicolas Cage has been dipping his dingle in vaginas all over the place."

So JewWario is a Jewish Wario. If only there was some kind of hint to let us know that.
Anyway, this movie looks painfully boring aside from the scenes of Cage punching women. I've never really like the original myself. I've never really been a big fan of those kinds of twist endings when the bad guys win. Especially when they're evil religious cults. :s

christ, i saw this movie with Rifftrax the other day and it was still painful... until Nicolas Cage started punching women, then it became amazing. i'd have given anything to be there when they filmed the scene where Cage K.O.s that woman while dressed as a bear. i'd have ruined that shot with maniacal laughter every single time.
great review, 5 stars all the way, and a very solid collaboration with JewWario

I havent seen this film and that was a good reason why, except from making a short out of him punching women the film is dire. But in that last scene when he gets captured he has a gun. Why didnt he try a juggernaugjt charge at the weakest point of the crowd shoot any turd that gets in the way and make a run for it. Even for drama sake if he did that and then got captured it would prove a little more entertaining. Oh well it seems Nick Cage is fast becoming the Jason Statham of America the guy with one expression one voice from the acting school for trees.

Whats up with Nick Cages acting in this movie? I have the suspicion that the quality of his acting is allways dependent of the quality of the movie he's in. I cant believe this is the same guy that starred in 8mm, Adaptation and Wild at Heart.

How has there not been a sequel made of this already? It practically writes itself! Following hot on the heels of the Hollywood-style "remake" here, Nicholas Cage, having escaped from the giant burning man, escapes the island unnoticed in spite of the broken legs, massive second and third degree burns covering most of his body, and not actually having any way of escaping. Having spent the intervening years since the previous movie in a concise recovery montage, he returns to the island that very nearly cost him his life and spends 90 minutes just running around punching women. All that's missing is a pithy "Snakes on a plane"-esque marketing campaign telling you exactly what you'll get and the Oscars and shattered box office records will follow. IT CAN'T MISS!
Basically a long way of saying I enjoyed the video and look forward to more.

That only obviouse hint is the name! Everything ellse you wouldn't have thaught. Guess I'm out of touch with moderate religouse practices :P.
But anyway, I felt that Mike missed out alot of potential critism of this movie. Like how the acting is totaly dull, some scenes being almost blatant copies of the origional and the fact that they removed ALL religouse subplots and theams that made the origional lead protagonist have any form of CHARACTER DEAPTH!
Furthermore, the origional was creepy because all the Pagen rituals were vibrant, but still unusual and getting more and more bizzar by the minute. Especialy with all the religouse practices getting under the lead protagonist's skin. In the remake, barley ANYTHING happens AT ALLL!
