  • fgribas93  - Good. Looking forward to more
I actually really like the premise for this series. It's really new and original(to my knowledge at least). I look forward to more, hopefully longer, reviews.

I've actually been doing infomercial reviews for over a year on my channel. If you like this kind of stuff, come check it out.

Hooray for the self-ad! :D (No, seriously. Commercial Failure is pretty good.)
  • alex251960  - Yay!
I've been waiting for someone on the site to review infomercials for a long time. Glad it's you MikeJ!

I love it! Please do more of this show! :)

There are some episodes of TestZero's show Commercial Failure you might like, he basically does the same concept. http://testzero.net

As someone who cooks for a living, let me assure you, this is an absolute garbage product... at least when it comes to how 'revolutionary' it claims to be.

You can cut a potato 11 different ways with 11 attachments? I can cut one 20 ways with a single knife. I can peel it without having to find a peeler too, can the nicer dicer peel?

Excited for more of the series, wouldn't mind seeing you actually buying the crap products so you can bash them first hand, but that's an expensive undertaking.

Great idea for a show. I've always seen these informercials on TV and laughed at how bad they are acted.

I can't wait to see more. I think everything is perfect about this show, even your demeanor. You don't seem as uptight without the suit and tie.

I REALLY like this premise, and this first episode. I enjoy watching infomercials as well, from the goofy acting to the terrible black-and-white portions that the commercials open up with. I can't wait to see where you go with this!
  • Larie
I like this show idea very much, and you have good points to make. Give me more! ;)

I just recently started watching your videos, namely Shameful Sequels, and you're quite entertaining. This is a great premise, and I think this episode went well. I'd gladly watch more. I don't think I've seen anyone review infomercials, at least not on this site.

Looks good~! Always wondered how infomercial reviewing would go, and I guess I've now got my answer. :) Keep up the good work, and I look forward to your next one!

This is so good it's working up my imagination.

Too bad my connection time-outed and my lame improvement suggestions were blasted into the place were imaginary numbers can be counted on fingers.

It's amazing just how many kitchen ware and weight loss infomercials there are.

Would love to see some of the older infomercials covered as well. Great segment - very funny.
  • ThatGuyWithTheThreeHeads  - Great idea!
Guy Debord will be proud of you ;-)

On the other hand, you could have used on your title card a "euro" sign in stead of your "pound" sign,
    you damn euroskeptical Brit!
  • Vismutti

Very true. Now it looks kinda like it's saying "INFOMLRCIALISM".
  • ThatGuyWithTheThreeHeads
That's an other point, yes ;)

And provided there's an "L" a bit further, "INFOM€RCIA£I$M" works better.
  • Redrally
I just love watching these infomercials! As well as this riff. Keep it up.

I grew up on informercials like that (and my family unfortunately often buys into them... this is why I have the earlier, less colorful version of nicer slicer at home...).

Anyway, can't wait to see more of informercialism. I just hope future episodes could be a little longer? I guess it depends on how much material you can get out of the source but I belive (maybe mistakenly) that you could squeeze about 7 to 10 minutes of riffing from some of those.

Definitely like this one. You made it very funny.

I'm just glad it wasn't what I was expecting: you making a fake infomercial. That's just so British that it's old hat. It'd feel like a Monty Python sketch--and not the good ones, either.
  • Khalid
    Loved it, more please.

Oh this is fantastic! I hope you do more, and maybe old infomercials too! Especially the Magic Bullet, that infomercial was amazing!

I think the black-and-white sections are also meant to symbolize living in the past, that using a knife instead of their product is akin to watching a black-and-white TV. It'd be clever if it weren's so blatant.

Watching Infomercials drunk in the morning is so much fun.
I think you should continue this show

Must have more! Needs classics like Billy Mays and Ron Popeil.
  • ThatGuyWithTheThreeHeads  - "I'm Billy Mays with a new fan-tas-tic product!"
"If you're like other Americans, you like eating Chipotl, but you hate all those blood stains on your underwears!"
