I saw the original and compared to the sequel it was much better...I mean, Vin Disel was so great in it because......because....
*flashbacks to the scene where his character and the girlfriend are getting hot and heavy at the chop shop and it shows a scene of his bare-naked chest*
Um, excause me what were we talking about again? o.o

The Joel Schumacher line literally made me lol. Saw Batman Forever recently... man, it hurts the eyes...
Haha, does any one else think "INNUENDO" could become a new repeated joke for this how?
What's up with the upside down camera shots in this movie? I noticed it a couple of times and they seemed rather pointless and disorientating.
Woman in a pink car WITH an anime computer display. Oh yeah, she looks so tough... "GRRRR!"
By the way, which review is the woman with the weather graphics covering her nudity from? Its the only one I don't seem to remember...

haha you made fun of poor devon aoki's acting while i don't really like her in any movie besides DOA i believe she was only in this one at the time as eye candy being that she was the biggest asian US model at the time of filming. When you said she acted as bad as she looked tho were you referring to her being unattractive or just wearing dumb attire caz if you were saying shes unattractive go watch DOA shes gorgeous in that and i dare you to watch the scene where she's walking on the windmill without falling in love

Oh God why did you have to bring up that movie again. I have been trying my best to ignore its existence.
She may have been attractive there but she couldn't fill Kasumi's bra.
I had no idea she was in 2 Fast 2 Furious. I did see it quite some ago and I only liked since I have only seen that one and the 3rd one.
It's a lot more fun playing Need For Speed than sitting through these movies again.

As long as the tits and asses jokes are kept to a minimum. I get really annoyed when people think that all DOA has to offer is the women and the sex appeal, ignoring the men, gameplay, and fighting.
This kind of ignorant attitude prevents the games from being taken seriously.
As long as it is not Benzaie or Maser Bate that covers it,I do not really care who does it.

A few other thoughts
1. Mathew would have no reason to know this, but Miami is pretty much the southern terminus of I-95. Sure, you could keep going, but it's not a major highway much longer. Heck, there's not much land left going south in Miami. Markham shouldn't have been so suspicious with them going southbound. Also, once Markham saw that they stopped at an impound lot, he shouldn't have been so suspicious.
2. Cole Hauser is even more a terrible actor than Mathew made him out to be. He's done very little of interest and comes off as a growling mute throughout the movie.
3. The second race scene is even bigger joke than Mathew made it out to be since Brian held onto the Nitro for about ten seconds, when using it for more than five seconds is pretty much guaranteed to blow up your engine.
4. In the highway scene Mathew points out the gray Corvette slamming into the remains of the red Mustang. What he doesn't mention is that was not planned and that the crash was legit. But since the stunt driver walked away unharmed, the director added it in, anyway.
I enjoy 2F2F because it's still a lot of fun, but it's clearly a really stupid movie. Unfortunately, they turn the suck way up with Tokyo Drift, which really deserves to be beaten down by Mathew.

I still agree with what James Rolfe said in "You Know What's Bull$h!t" that the 4th film should have ben titled "The Fast and the 4rious." BTW, I have no interest in seeing any of the Fast and Furious films. I'm more into movies about cars that transform into robots.
4:22- Nion lit vehicles mostly work in films like "Tron" and "Tron: Legacy."
The CGI Zone. Another dimention. Not of site or sound, but of uncreative creativeness.
Nice job on the clip from "Goldfinger."
19:19- Actually, it's like watching "Batman & Robin." That film had more neon that "Forever."

Tyrese Gibson's character ruined any enjoyment I might've gotten from this movie (not to say it was going to be all that much better without him). His character was SO annoying and stupid which is a shame because I think he did really good in Baby Boy.
And for a movie that's supposed to be about high adrenaline and speed, it was so..."low-octane" to put it mildly.

Sadly alot of people decorate their cars in the manner you see in these films. It's called Ricing or Rice. The neon lighting you see on those cars are illegal in some states and you would get pulled over real quick for having them. Not a good choice for someone on the lamb, plus they add weight and slows down the cars. Also a convertible is a poor choice for racing since they are weaker, more prone to flexing, and are heavier than a normal hard top car. These films are just so stupid, as Flim Brain said real gear heads would just shake their heads at these films.

Alot of the classic car gear heads hate these films, however many Ricers love the F&F films. In real life a race car wouldn't have fancy neon lighting, sound systems, or gadgets like video games and anime screens. A real race car would be stripped down to save weight, heating, A/C, safety systems, low emission systems, sound systems, and back seats would be removed. Also those big rear spoilers, (the big wings on their trunk lids) only work on rear wheel drive cars. Rear spoilers just hinder performance for front wheel drive cars which is what they mostly drove in the film.

04.22.2011 - 05:06 | KainGerchey at least Tokyo drift had more focused on actual street racing (even though it was an even more boring film than this one).

Nice review Film Brain, but I think you're over-analyzing a movie that was intended to be mindless-fun. Yeah sure there's a lot to complain about, but the fast and the furious movies are actually really enjoyable if you just switch your brain off for a couple of hours. I guess these kind of films aren't for you.

It's only over analyzing if their target audience isn't supposed to know anything about street racing.
It's like how some medical professionals say they can't watch shows like House and some law enforcement professionals don't like shows like CSI. Anyone who knows about it won't have to analyze it; they'll just know that it's wrong. To them it'll be obvious.

While a lot of things in the movie make no sense, Not Vin Diesel firing on the cops actually does. They're supposed to be undercover, firing on the cops is a good way to maintain said cover in the event Generic Drug Runner happens to find out about that little confrontation. Now the cops confronting them in the first place, that makes no damn sense.

04.22.2011 - 06:24 | Dark PaladinWas that crack about Speed 2 foreshadowing the next review?
Also, for me, the third movie was the best in the series. I know people will disagree with that, but I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than any of the others in the series.
