I Like your reviews, but hate your voice and body language. Sorry but I had to say it.

Congrats on 50 episodes! You gotta love a non-supernatural movie, with a supernatural final spin. It just makes no sense and is out of place
Oh and if you want to see the worst box art spoilers in history, just look at Planet Of The Apes. Almost every version of the DVDs (maybe the VHS as well, but I can't remember) has a giant picture of the head.

I also want to extend my congratulations to you Film Brain. It almost seems like its been more than that, but its great to see you hit such a milestone. I can't wait to see your next set of movies next year.
I've never heard of a movie being released in that way. It really is devilishly ingenious. I guess they had no other option though, because I can't imagine this selling unless they did something special. That movie was bad and the ending was unbelievable. I just don't know what to say about it other than just ... wow. Good on you for getting through it.

Film Brain I implore you – now hear you my plea!
There’s one awful movie we have yet to see!
The great Doctor Seuss surely turned in his grave
When Mike Meyers slashed his best work with a glaive!
The jokes and the actors so bad to the end,
That we won’t see live-action Seuss ever again!
It must get its Beatdown, and that’s simply that!
I beg you to review THE CAT IN THE HAT!!!

11.26.2010 - 12:35 | jayoNo, it's the other way around, Jim Carey will always be the one true Grinch. Boris Karloff isn't even worthy to urinate in the man's direction!

11.26.2010 - 02:41 | SqueejeeWow. Seconded.

11.26.2010 - 04:35 | TBTabby"The jokes and the actors so bad to the end,

Which makes this movie a blessing in disguise, if you ask me.
-
11.26.2010 - 12:32 | jayoI beg to differ, as Mike Myers will always be the one true Cat in the Hat! And whatever slashing Mike did to the Dr's work was much deserved!

11.26.2010 - 01:28 | e33lafCongratulations on your 50th episode guys. You've come a long way since Pluto Nash.
Though the slow song in the ending montage kind off threw me a bit at first. It kind of made it seem like you had died and this was a kind of memorial rather then a best of Bad Movie Beatdown, but then it seem to pick up a bit and made me smile and the end.
Here's to 50 more!

11.26.2010 - 01:36 | YetAnotherGeekWow, 50 episodes...must feel pretty damn good.
That...ending...SUCKS! I mean, really, it's Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy all over again (such a great game up until...that one character revealed themselves. For those who played the game, you know the one). But aside from that, it does seem rather pathetic of a movie, though it does make me curious to see what other movies never see the light of day...hey, maybe some of them are kinda good.

So I guess I won't be finding hidden gems in the paper then? I can't believe a film that bad went from being free in the paper to getting a DVD release. Great episode, as fitting for your 50th. This whole season has just been awesome and I can't wait for season three. Before we know it we'll be celebrating your 100th episode.

11.26.2010 - 04:37 | DMasterTsk, hardly. Boll's just a master of manipulation, given how he constantly manages to obtain the funding necessary for his movies and to get them releases. There COULD be someone out there worse...but for the sake of our sanities, let's assume he is as bad as it gets.

Congratulations on your 50th episode Film Brain! And what a way to celebrate than with a crappy newspaper film.
I had the same reaction you had with the reveal of Charles Dickens. It literally came out of left field. What is he? Is he a Time Lord? A vampire? Vandal Savage? What?
Hope you come back soon with a fresh batch of bad movies to beatdown.
-
11.26.2010 - 03:02 | BalesirionWell, that was certainly a role fit for an actor of Derek Jacobi's stature, wasn't it? After all, what's the difference in stature between Emperor Claudius and Immortal Bum Murderer Charles Dickens?
Congratulations on 50 episodes!
-
11.26.2010 - 03:28 | phTheDudeCongratulations on 50 episodes! Everyone else already said "Here's to 50 more," so, just to be annoying I say:
Here's to 150 more episodes!
One additional thing that seemed really annoying about the ending (at least to me, maybe I missed something) - so, if Charles Dickens and The Hobo were both played by Jacobi, and turned out to be the same person, does that apply to all the doubled-up actors and actresses? Like, is DateRapey McPhotos actually Alice?

11.26.2010 - 04:24 | GunwildGood work, Brainy. I may not always agree with you (Book of Eli totally sucked, dude!) but you make funny videos, occasionally even MEANINGFUL ONES (like Seven Pounds). Ya come a loooooooong way since the first few reviews, certainly. I know you guys don't have Thanksgiving over in The United Kingdom of Short Muffins and Cricket, but I will take this opportunity to thank you for the free entertainment and wish you the best with continuing it.

11.26.2010 - 04:39 | DMasterCongrats, guys. Seriously. I've been following...not since the beginning, I hadn't heard of the site at that point, but I have followed since the Final Destination 3 review. I really fell in love with this show at that point. I can't wait for next season!

Glad to have been here for the ride. I wonder if next seasons opening will be as hilarious as the one you did for this season. Who will you get to do a guest appearance?
Anyway, if you're still looking for movies for next season, may I suggest the 2001 version of Thir13en Ghosts? I used to be a fan of this film, but watching it again made me realise the PLoT CaNYoNS and amount of nonsensical plot driven decisions this film has. Not to mention it is Tony Shalhoub in a supposed horror movie...
