Samew thing happened when Disney aquired Tim Allen. Home Improvement was big, back in the day, and he went from THAT to crap like Jungle 2 Jungle and a million Santa Clause movies.

Disney hires a successful comedian as a voice actor for a movie. Then, the movie becomes successful, so Disney makes a live-action movie starring this comedian who is now appealing to children. The live-action movie becomes somewhat successful. Pretty soon, the animated movies and live-action movies starring the comedian get sequels and spin-offs, each one slowly draining his creativity and likability. Directors of movies targeted towards adults refuse to cast him because adults no longer take him seriously or find him funny because Disney filters his jokes and denies him the freedom to express himself. Disney just takes his quirks and amplifies them until even children get tired of him. Finally, after this comedian has been brought up, taken down, and dragged helplessly through Disney's numerous efforts to exploit him for money, he is reduced to a game show host.
Whew! I feel better. My point is that comedians should stay away from Disney. I know other entertainment companies have done this to comedians, but Disney has done it the most.

Do not even joke about that man. :scared:
Nice reivew Film Brain. I don't really know too much about Braeden Orr, but he seems pretty cool.
I remember this movie. It annoyed me a bit when I watched it, but I didn't really have many strong feelings about it. I just took it for what it was and forgot about it quickly. Here's hoping the remake will be more memorable, in a good way. =)

I'm sorry, but I just wasn't feeling your co-host. I'm not saying he was horrible, but I didn't really care for him. He was really flat. He didn't seem to deliver his lines with any real emotion. But I'm still gonna give him a chance by checking out his videos.
I'm sure I'm gonna get down voted to hell since, You know, opinions aren't really allowed, but that's how I feel.

I up-voted your comment because you were honest without bashing!
I agree with you that some parts I seemed unenthusiastic, and I blame this on one sole thing: Never in my life have I ever done a movie review before. Seriously, its actually a LOT different than presenting a game review.
Still, I'm pleased with the final result considering how last minute, improvised, and put together some parts of this were.

09.16.2010 - 23:38 | NOTYETUSEDNAMEHi FilmBrain and Braeden(welcome to Channel Awesome, my friend), I loved this review. It's a lot of fun to watch 2 great talents do crossover shows. And good pick for a film to demolish. I hope the remake will be better-of course that won't be too hard to accomplish LOL. I look forward to both your next shows, my friends. Peace.

I could tell from the trailers that this movie wouldn't be any good, so I was lucky, and didn't waste any money on it.
While watching the review, I found myself constantly asking, "What does this have to do with the ride?". Other than the one part of the movie, where it looks like they tried to jam the entire ride into about 10 mins. of movie, it had nothing to do with it.
I think Disney is better off sticking to their original formula of making a movie, then making a ride based on/inspired by the movie.

09.17.2010 - 00:00 | Wolfram-And-HartThe Haunted Mansion is my favorite ride. It deserved better than this.

Actually, Disney is looking to make an actual horror movie based on the ride.
Guillermo Del Toro is going to be writing and producing it. He might even direct, now that he's out of the Hobbit movies.
What's more is that Del Toro is going to be working with John Lasseter and WDI to bring an even scarier dimension to the DL and WDW hauned mansions.

09.17.2010 - 00:06 | Sharpe34My kids made me take them to this.
I have yet to forgive them, at least my teen daughter isn't a Twilight fan.
Mat I have a challenge for you, "A Vampire in Brooklyn".
Watch it if you dare! :zombie:

Eeeh this was a bad one. I was forced to watch this while baby sitting. The kids ended up getting nightmares. Almost didn't get paid for 'scaring them'.
O_O; I wasn't the one who put the movie in. *shakes head*
This was such a stupid movie. Acting was horrible... just all around...ugh.. You were brave for this one, Film Brain!

Eh, if you only count rides yes, but if you count all Disney attractions you're actually missing a film. The Country Bears. That was one so bad, I'm not even sure I want you to review it. The same could be said for Tower of Terror, but to be fair they were smart enough not to put it in theaters.
Oh, and by the way...skill? No, just predictable screenwriting.

09.17.2010 - 00:46 | BondBraedon, your speech is sometimes very rushed. I'm not criticising but if no-one tells you you probably won't notice.

I noticed. This was supposed to be finished I think 2 weeks ago (?) So eventually you get to the point where you're just like "look, that part isn't that bad, lets roll with it"
Like I said, this is my first movie review, and I had trouble with my inflection I'm afraid. That and trying to re-record audio in my new dorm was kinda rushed because of my roommate.
Thanks for the comment =)

Words cannot express how much I fucking HATE this film, and you guys made me realize this even more. My god, thank you. Don't get me wrong, I'm a HUGE fan of the ride. And I was utterly excited for this movie when I heard it was coming out...I was honestly way too expectant, because pirates of the carribean (the first one at least.) came out so great. Now I know better. lol.
But, I *am* still hopeful that Del Toro's take on it is much better than *this* dreck.
