What about the short lived series and cartoon!?

There was a shortlived series and cartoon.

Why is it I am informed of a animated series for Star Trek but no one as of yet has told me of the Police Academy cartoon? o.o

And I like the opening credits, it reminds me of the opening for the Blair Witch Project.

Except without the crappy sequel that shits all over the fun of the first movie.

    As of wiki:
There were two syndicated television series loosely based on the film. The first one was a popular animated comedy, entitled Police Academy. The show was produced by Ruby-Spears Productions and Warner Bros. Television. It ran from September 1988 to September 1989, lasting 2 seasons with 64 episodes produced. Police Academy: The Series was a 1997 live-action show based on the films, comprising 26 hour long episodes. It was produced by Warner Bros. Television and Protocol Entertainment. Michael Winslow reprised his role from the films, the only cast member from the films to have a recurring role on the show, although several others made occasional guest appearances. The Robot Chicken episode "Sausage Fest" featured a sketch in which Mahoney, Jones, Tackleberry, Hightower, and Hooks were recruited by Professor Xavier to join the X-Men.

I'm a fan of the series & I have never seen either. They probably suck, due to the franchise running out of ideas.

Trust me, I have seen the Cartoon (in Germany) and you are glad that you havent seen it. The cartoon was just bad. Bad as almost every sequel of this franchise.

I don't even think of it as a franchise so much as one really long movie that just goes on & on.

Well shit, watching all 7 PA movies is a normal past-time for me. But yeah, the last one is hardly the best.

Like Brad Jones, I know you make fun of movies you secretly like.

An old badly dubbed Honk Kong film? Yay! I've been hoping you'd do another.

"Where is there a joke in Police Academy 7?" haha
lots of good one-liners in there diamanda - a few missed with me... but i enjoyed it

Police Academy 7 IS the joke! Muahahahahahahaha!

Hi Diamanda. They made SEVEN of these!?!?!?!? I still can't believe I watched the first four(ok, the first one was pretty good, but OMG! When Bubba Smith becomes your headliner star SOMETHING IS REALLY WRONG WITH THE PICTURE!!!!!!!!! .ahem.......Did the minions succeed in the pistol up the urethra/sherman tank sideways up their anus and that one shoved up the other's anus punishment? That made such a horrific mental image, part of me is morbidly curious if it actually happened.....

Anyway, Great video, my friend. I look forward to The Man From Hong Kong. Peace.
  • DiamandaHagan  - allegedly the 8th is in production...

allegedly the 8th is in production...

Shit, with the age of the original cast & potential lack of original cast members, they might as well make it a remake. But they'll never replace George Gaynes.
  • Positive Troll
    avatar
But Bubba Smith just passed away! As well as the actor who played Tackleberry and Commendant Lassarde. I'm pretty sure the only original cast member still alive is Michael Winslow(OK, Steven Guttenberg is still living, but his career is dead. That could mean a re-boot.....Be afraid....Be Very AFRAID!

Forget the jokes! Christopher Lee in Mission to Moscow should have been the trigger for your murderous rage.

    Hail Hagan!

I liked Police Academy 1,2,4, and 5. Police Academy 3 made me feel dead inside. Really.

Literally the *only* time Bobcat Goldthwait has ever made me laugh was the time he said of the Police Academy movies: "They had to make seven of them, there were so many unanswered questions."
  • DerKork

In Police Academy 7 there is no joke, only pain and suffering. Seriously, it's crap.

Actually, I think the movies went downhill when Steve Guttenberg left. Not that they were high brow at all, but still: They were funnier when he was around and sort of the main character.
  • FullofQuestions  - Nice!

You know, as creepy as I find your character, I'm torn because I find your accent adorable. I'm sorry.

Another one of my favorites! You know, if you wanted to watch Police Academy movies while you were over, you should of said... :P

I really liked this short film. Always wondered why more of these haven't been made? The idea of little short films about Hagan and the Minion's lives that takes place between the reviews is a good one. Maybe you should think about doing more of these. :)
  • DiamandaHagan
    avatar
it comes down to either filming a short or filming a review. there isnt time to do both. i think most people would prefer a review. plus i can film a 20-30 min review in the same time it takes to film a 5 min short.

    sorry:(

plus, its harder to 'hide' the fact we're filming it in someones house rather than an actual bunker:p
  • ThatDouche

Sorry isn't good enough! :P Also, I saw Police Academy 7 in my teens and some what enjoyed it.

    Oh I don't know...maybe Hagan's begun to accessorize, I mean, there's IKEA in Haganistan, right? :)

    Hey Hagan!
The best part of this short film clearly was the "World of Warcraft"-part. The shot of the minions sitting around the table, playing an obviously well prepared WoW session, their masks still on, is great. Especially because I wasn't expecting it. Good timing for a good idea.
I also liked the part where the minions tried to act out the movies. Another funny idea.
Hagan reviews generally kill me because the furniture in the house/apartment where you shoot (I hope I don't offend the inhabitant with this) is just so middle-class. You would expect thrones made out of bones, opulent velvet couches and a crap load of chandeliers, when you look at Hagan. But no, no, there is an ordinary blue sofa, a quite common dining table and a few absolutely normal looking lamps. It's such a cognitive dissonance. I think it's genius.
    Byebye

P.S. Why do you always want insulting comments?
Well: You, BITCH! How dare you making fun of a beloved franchise? I hate you. They should ban you for this, BAN. And your make-up in the last shot is smeared. How messed-up of you!
  • DiamandaHagan  - heyas, thanks for the nice comments
    avatar
heyas, thanks for the nice comments, their appreciated.

the decor has actually improved a bit since we filmed this heh. its not a slightly larger green sofa!

the idea is this isnt what hagan does for a day job. she spends most of her time in the gothic, dungeony stuff and this is the hobby she does and she does it in a room that deliberitely looks like that (to look more like most people who do it)

why do i want insulting comments? a bit of variety is a good thing:p
  • ZsarHora
    avatar
    Hey Hagan,
I figured you have a good reason/explanation for the furniture. And the way freakish Hagan tries to imitate normal people is actually kind of cute. Too bad that "normal" behavior can't be that easily imitated.
And I agree on the variety. So...
    Bye bitch

Too bad I haven't seen these movies for over a decade or so, which means I can only remember the halfway decent scenes (at least what I found halfway decent back then) XD

And I knew I should've checked you out long before. Your show looks pretty messed up. Nice ^^ !

P.S.: Why is nobody making a remake/reboot/rewhatever of Police Academy? Seltzerberg would be PERFECT for that XD

I like PA7: Mission to Moscow. It isn't funny but it's so pleasantly cheesy and I can't help but love most of the characters. Ron Perlman wants to take over the world by way of a videogame for Pete's sake. This one gives you this very sincere charm and well-meaning gags in return for its lack of sharp writing. The movie also flows very well, there's a lot of variety in the events never becoming boring.
  • huh98
My favorite line in this is "What's that? Little Timmy's trapped in the well? Flood it, he can float" That's got to be the funniest thing I've heard all day.

The WoW scene was definitely my favorite since, I've experience many a time when that has happened. Usually the conversation that takes place is...
"Turn off your game! It's causing my movie download to lag!"
"Turn off your movie download! It's causing MY game to lag! Plus I'm right in the middle of a quest/raid damn it!"
