Why thank you for this nice comment. I guess there's the overall thing around, that people act like "Sure, we all should have equal rights, but not if it means someone gets the right to like something I don't!".
As much as it creeps me out that there are people turned on by Bugs Bunny or Scooby Doo... That's how THEY roll and I'm okay with that. If I want people to tolerate me and what I like, I have to tolerate what they like too.
EHHH but back to green now. Yes, she's a likeable character, as she was designed to be. And I think it's a nice notion that there's a female character WITH A COMPLETELY FLAT CHEST who still can attract quite a bit of attention. Plus, she's not dumb, but clever. That gets a thumbs up from me. And a second thumbs up, cause I like the color green heh

Great job on highlighting Cree Summer's talents. She does a lot of voice work but doesn't get enough recognition among the animation community.
I think the reason people are attracted to Green is because of the SUGGESTION of sexual appeal rather than just broad sexual appeal. What I mean is that Green is very expressive and with a bright personality, and that is enough to get people going.
I am sure that if she was designed to be slutty, along with the appropriate character design, and it would be pretty disturbing, actually.

rule 34 is your friend CR.
Seriously though, I've always thought it was strange how open society was towards the sexualization of.... well, pretty much anything. In a culture where violence in video games and dirty music lyrics were once considered outrageous, it's surprising just how little people seemed to notice this stuff. I mean, have you SEEN those vintage cadbury commercials? That is one slutty bunny. Speaking of slutty bunnies, I'll admit Space Jam always left me a little confused as a kid.

The more sexually repressed we are (with the swell in religious meddling), the more obsessed with sex we will inevitably become. Maybe that's their game. They know they're depraved sickos (see Ted Haggard), so they protest so much that they can think of nothing but, to fuel their own dirty orgies.
It's why we have so many bible thumpers alongside all the Fergies/Keshas... You see less bible thumpers, you'll see less people trying to do things for the wrong reasons, and then our country won't be so obsessed with sex anymore! But really, what country isn't, on this planet full of horny animals?

She has always been one of the most unique voice actresses I've ever heard.
I love the way she has a different range in her voices, especially the sass in several of them.
Sex sells as we all know so it's no surprise you give the green M&M a sultry persona along with a seductive voice to boot.
Another great video CR and don't feel bad about another Valentines Day, your watching MST3K, I'm watching Total Recall. "Give those people AYIR!"
I feel your pain, buddy, I feel your pain.

02.15.2011 - 02:44 | ElegeantFencerThank you once again CR for reintroducing us to the characters we have forgotten.
Ms. Green...Ah, to be honest I did get aroused from her when I was a kid.
WHAT? I was a KID, dammit. And like you said, her sex appeal is only momentary fantasy played for light-hearted humor. It's not like we could truly become infatuated with a cartoon candy (unless you're an M&M fetishist..).
And her voice actress is awesome. I must thank her for voicing in some of my favorite cartoons over the years.
Yep. Now that you've reminded me how lonely I am this Valentine's Day, I'm gonna go cry under my bed sheets. =(

I've been meaning to make a drawing based on her ...
And to those who say, "It's just a cartoon," we are all complicated maps of brain patterns, and one of our patterns is to recognize female shaped things and become aroused, especially if the female shaped thing appears aroused herself. It's just an automatic monkey reaction. Imagery is just as important as the real thing, so far as instinct is concerned... It's not until the thought reaches our higher brain AFTERward that we realize it's just a cartoon - but we can still enjoy the visual stimluli!

Are you telling me the UK doesn't get the Peanut Butter M&Ms? What a crime!
I was in Scotland for Study Abroad last summer and went to several convenience stores, I can't believe I missed that. That sucks friend.
Well, always look on the bright side. At least your soft drinks use real sugar instead of fructose corn syrup.
I never drank so many Dr.Peppers and Cokes in such a little span of time before.
Fellow US residents, we gotta use sugar in the soft drinks!

I was really pleased to see you gave credit to Cree Summer. Her voice acting portfolio is quite impressive, not to mention her music career (by the way, nice touch adding her song in for the credits)
The green M&M myth probably has something to do with our associations with the color green relating to health and virility. The myth started back in the 70's, so its a tough call.
As for the character, I think it was enjoyable to see her interact with the other M&M characters in the commercials.

Oh, there's one thing: What's with some people thinking others should be ashamed for liking these characters? They were specifically created and designed to be likeable. All it means is their creators did their job correctly.
