I watched A LOT of Kablam but i do not remember this at all. It looked interesting but i was never a fan of talking animals in general. Rocko's modern life is my only exception really.
Also a great place to look at old cgi animation examples is Liquid tv shorts. I remember a particularly nightmare inducing one about a killer house and a pizza delivery boy. Also one with the poor baby egg and the snake.

I think after the coconut throwing scene, they just ran out of money and/or time, so they made a quick 10 second ending with an already used set.
For me the CGI (nor claymation for that matter) never looked a bit cooler than the normal cartoon. Especially when the motion is this bad.
Wait, how come there's coconut in the middle of an amazonian rain-forest?
(Butter)
Ahh, never mind...

God damn. I remember this horrendous short. Unlike most kids in the 90's, I HATED computer animation primarily for the fact that it looked so bad. I saw no possibility of its ever becoming as good as it is now (though even now I feel it's overly prevalent), and this short provides a good example of why I saw no future in the art style. I hated this short as a kid and I hate it more as an adult.
I loved Kablam!, but I hated when a beloved regular spot was replaced with a failed pilot. With the exception of one or two shorts (I remember a rather funny short about a circus that I wished had become a regular), these pilots had good reason for their failure. Every single one of these characters' designs ranges from ugly to downright frightening and the movements are painfully stiff. And the wacky sound effects only make the lifeless movements appear even more dull.
At least you didn't review that "Girl with Her Head Coming Off" short. That one actually made me break out in a rage-fueled outburst at the television screen.

I was the same, even as a kid. I just never got into it. It was okay in Pixar movies but whenever it got any cheaper than that it just looked... horrible. Ungh.
The only one I kinda liked was this one series (you wouldn't know it, it's a Finnish "political satire show") called "Itse Valtiaat" that was really cheaply animated but it kinda made it a part of its style, not even trying to hide the cheapness. It helped that it's actually a good show... or it used to be at least.

I had never seen this bit before, and I'd watched Kablam! for a while.
Also, thanks for the quick jab at that waste of a time slot show Comedy Central quickly yanked (the one with animated teachers against photo backgrounds, I can't even remember its name).
Lastly, it's spelled Ratatouille, not Ratatoing!.

Holy crap I remember this! In fact, I remember it quit well. So much so that I was able to remember it just from the title card. Not that I remembered it fondly, I guess I just watched a lot of KaBlam! as a kid. Personally, I always felt the Shizzagee looked more like Rocko the wallaby's deformed cousin no one likes to talk about.
As terrible as this is, its actually a little bit sad that KaBlam didn't have a good CGI series of shorts. The thing I always loved about the show was that it combined so many different forms of animation: Henry and June's segments and the Sniz and Fondue shorts were traditional 2D animation, Prometheus and Bob were claymation, Life with Lucy was stop motion (among other things), Action League NOW was "chuckamation"; it seems like the only thing missing is CGI. Unfortunately, this one short was as close as they got, and that's nothing to brag about.
Also, "KaBalm"? Did the Critic pass his superpower of having a typo in every review on to you? :P
