I watched this earlier, and was very surprised at the show. The funny thing is? I think I would've enjoyed both Funimation's Ghostbusters and The Real Ghostbusters if I'd of known the former was on; sadly(and yet happily) I watched the latter.
You are really proving to be someone who is coming into his own on the site, when you first started I wasn't so sure about you, but I honestly think it was because you were near my nostalgia more than the Nostalgia Critic is, yet now you've proven yourself and I have grown accustomed to you plus the Goosebumps episode really drew me in.

I do remember watching this one a lot, but I watched more the real ghostbusters, oh, and by the way, Dan Aykroyd wrote the script for Ghostbusters way before Filmation thought out the cartoon and he mainly based it on the old Abott and Costello films (he said so in an interview in 1984) otherwise, good episode, I can't believe I forgot that much about the show already.

now THATS a familiar face(s)
definitely enjoyed the live-action series just for the 3 main characters. I always loved the wacky antics both Tracy and Spenser would get into. or how Spenser always had trouble with the filing cabinet. and one episode, Tracy, to get the files out of the cabinet, casually walks out of the window, on the ledge, to the other side of the building, punches the building's outside wall, in order to get the filing cabinet to open.
when in a previous episode, I believe it was, all Tracy had to do was threaten the cabinet with a mallet in order to open the filing cabinet.
that was great.
can't speak much on the animated series. have wanted to see it, but just haven't gotten around to it.
don't think I would enjoy the two human heroes, but the villains I probably would dig.

As crazyjack said, Dan Aykroyd had the idea for that Ghostbusters for a long time before it ever got made, he even tried it as a skit on SNL. Also it was supposed to have been called something completely different, and in fact was called something else during production. They only picked up the name Ghostbusters just before it was released.
Other than that, good look at something I never knew existed before, and a good reason as to why the cartoon was called "The Real Ghost Busters"

I loved The Real Ghostbusters as a kid, never got into He-Man, and went from ThunderCats to it.
But the name I did always ponder on, but I did assume that something else was ripping off the name, as my 6 year old brain couldn't comprehend "irony" back then :D
I din' think we ever had the filmation ghostbusters on TV here, definitely had it on VHS though.

I think he takes from both Ghostbusters series, but definitely mostly from the filmation, simply because it a lot more commonalities, for example his parents, not to mention some of the art style. To be honest I personally think Butch Hartman, took a dare to watch nothing but Ghostbusters for entire month, and winning ran out filmations, he went to real!
PS: please do the ladies of Danny Phantom! Ember=HOT!

I really enjoyed this episode. I was honestly blown away by all the connections and history present in this one. I was really tired while watching this episode, so the Danny Phantom reference honestly made me jump in my seat, rewind, and watch that part again. I'm a huge fan of that series and know a lot about the development behind it...but I never suspected a connection to He-Man. XD
Great work, as always. Heh - I've been a member of this site for a while, but I've never commented on a video here until now. Nice. ^-^

Holy crap...I just realized I know what you're going to be doing next. Though I can't remember for the life of me what the name is; my friend had it on in the background while we were talking about the con we were about to go to...and i just remember thinking "Ok these guys must've seen Rocky Horror higher than anyone else"

I loved rekindling the battle between the Real and Filmation Ghost Busters. Both shows caught my interest as I saw both and liked both as a kid.
I really loved the SuperBad joke. HILARIOUS! Between you, NC, CS, Spoony, and Linkara, I don't know who's funniest. Oh wait, all of you.
Hope to see you in the 3rd Anniversary.

...So when are you gonna do an episode with a character from "The Critic"?
Also, anything with a gorilla fighting ghosts is immediately amazing, regardless of the quality of the rest of it.
