I take back my request about doing a Familiar Faces on a Friendship is Magic character because frankly, there's no clear character to focus on because, to me at least, I've spent so much time browsing through the fandom's main sites and have seen that NO character goes unnoticed and that the series hasn't been out long enough for a vid in that style.

I'd say it calls for more of an overview in, say, a combo of Doug's "Old Vs New" and Lindsay's "Nostalgia Chick" episodes.

Maybe a crossover as well with one of those two, even? To be honest though and no offense, I don't really like the sound of Lindsay covering this series. I think there'd be further damage to the show's credibility, which is already shaky if not nonexistent due to franchise's lackluster history just because she's kind of the main person for media considered girlish (or so it would be implied/seen at a glance). However, with a few delicacies and making sure to inform the skeptics (which is pretty much everyone teenaged and older) that, as I say, you may as well leave all thoughts of this being a "My Little Pony" series, run of the mill or otherwise, at the door it could still turn out fine.

I'm leaning more towards a review by you, with or without Doug, due the advantage of having Doug on board (from my p.o.v) being that, well, more people are likely to watch said overview, and that's the purpose, to inform as many viewers as possible about how unique/fresh it is. They may still not care for it, but at least they aren't disliking and avoiding it altogether due to bias and. I also think he's better at balancing his critiques.

It may even be better if there's some other member of the site other than Doug or Lindsay were to join in if they're also a fan of the show/ had prior exposure to the the show before said crossover.

Something else to mention for those that know about it's "meme" status, is that even with such status (which could apparently give the impression that it's popular out of mockery or enjoyed jokingly/ironically), it's a genuinely good show and it may be best to just ignore it. Actually, that mantra could work for a lot of the issues that'd keep people from watching it.

Oh, I meant to mention something regarding any possible nostalgic value the series may hold, but I'm still assuming negativity is the majority and that it'd be best to ignore it (either way, really) because it's MLP in name only.

I'm glad to see a video involving Friendship is Magic on the site. Your art is plain great and if you're making a card game, I would totally be on board for that. I've been enjoying the show a lot lately and I'm glad to see I'm not alone on TGWTG in that regard.

Also, very nice choice of remix for the background music. I recognized them all as soon as they came on, as I've listened to the songs quite a bit now. Isn't it amazing that the best cartoon I've seen come out of North America lately is My Little Pony? Who would've guessed?

Anyway, nice video. I am curious if you're going to do an episode where you discuss the show itself though. As ggbhtg said, almost every character in the show is appreciated pretty well, so I'm not sure how a Familiar Faces would work out, although I'm interested to see how if you decide to do that. Keep up the good work CR!

I got give props but that was a lot of work for a trading card still amazing work. Speaking of work i looked thru you gallery and have come to observation. You have a lot of free time or you work fast.

I think the only character that could work for Familiar Faces so far is Luna, It does seem baffling to me that when little girls would like princesses, when you create two of them and then only focus on one of them. Luna is like the most popular character in the fandom barring the main cast, and she gets all of 30 seconds in the series (2 episodes if you count her as Nightmare Moon).

But even that's going to become redundant since she's apparently getting more appearances in the next season, even a full episode to herself apparantly. So, to do something on that is... hmph.

Probably the safest things to do is a Top 11 Funniest moments in Season 1 List. Play up the shows very good humour.

I doubt that the negativity will last long anyway, this show is growing a fandom at a rate faster than Spongebob Squarepants. If quality keeps up, everyone will be sure to know about it soon.

This was really great to watch! I was trying to pick up tricks and the tools you were using for certain things even with the speed.

An 'Old Vs. New' video featuring the classic My Little Ponies against Friendship is Magic could never work, because the new trumps the old so much.

I'm not exaggerating when I say you'd see a more balanced contest if you pitted Stephen Hawking in a fight with Kimbo Slice. There's just no contest between the two.

Yeah I saw that myself already, I'm just brainstorming about it now. If anything at all, only the parts that relate to FiM are necessary.

The FiM pilot versus the 1984 special might work since they have similar plots and that special is actually really good.

just wanted to know if you hear of a youtube user under the name gbeaudette. if not I'll tell you that he describes how the show is created by a fans perspective using tools like flash, photoshop, and after effects to show how the effects, animation, and other things having to do with animation are created. it is really informative and since you like to learn about programs and animation this would be something to look into. if you do not want to thats fine as well. just thought you would like to hear about it. thanks and great job on your art pieces and familiar faces shows.
