I used to watch the cartoon when I was a kid but really had no interest in seeing anything turtles related now. However, this film actually looks really great and I will definitely check it out.

I'd like to thank you for bringing this movie to light, Erod. Only gripe I have is that I feel like this video felt more like a synopsis for it than a review- while you did talk about how much you liked the actor who played Casey and how they got the character right, there weren't that many opinions or criticism of the flick itself. Maybe that just means you don't have anything negative to say, but if that's the case I'd at least like to hear you say that.
Still, just KNOWING a movie like this exists is awesome. Anyone who can tell me where I can watch/buy it?

"Made by someone who gives a shit"? As opposed to the fan films made by people who don't care? It's a fan film, it is by definition made by fans. It's the one genre in which the filmmakers are guaranteed to be passionate about what their doing.
BTW, I gotta look up that Casey Jones rap. Anything with a Warriors reference in it has earned my attention.

It wasn't meant as a crack at fan-made projects. He said he couldn't accept calling it a fan-movie because of the quality and high production value; it's referencing all those movies hollywood churns out which seem to have no respect for the source material and merely exist for the money the companies hope they'll make.
Great review BTW, BB. The last fan-inspired video like this that I really enjoyed was the faux-trailer "Greyson" from ages ago, but this looks like it knocks it clear out of the park. Definitely worth a look. Thanx.

Because the yellow jumpsuit always looked stupid, even in the cartoon - so much so as to render April O'Neil asexual to my brain.
And April was a Ginger, not a Hispanic with a bad wig.
If they made the outfit tighter, and less 80s grandma-shaped, gave it a bigger collar, it might look almost comic-book passable. But still probably never real-life passable.
But this definitely looks like an interesting movie to see. I take it the turtles don't show up, perhaps no more than a passing mention at the end of the movie in an April O'Neil news broadcast... but the story of Casey looks like they aren't really needed. Might be interesting to check out!
