thank god its about time someone tore this game apart i kinda still with the originals and I like 9 coz its the most similar to the originals but 8 there is too much to it bt it depends on what you want from a game

Agreed with Professori... the part where you name the girl and the dog made me cry out with laughther for like 15 minutes. Just for comparison, I never laughed this hard at any of Doug's videos.
It was fun seeing FF8 again. It was the first FF game I ever played (I've never been much of a Super Nintendo guy myself) and I remember being pretty excited about the game. The graphics were awesome and I was easily entertained at that time. However, after having watched all parts of your review, I now know that this game was evil. Thanks Spoony!

Yeah, I remember seeing these vids on his website, it felt like striking comedy gold in a mountain. All the Zell, Rinoa, and her dog bits were the highlights for me.:D I had a feeling he wasn't going to get around to finishing this, imagine covering the ENTIRE game like this, and still keeping it fresh and entertaining. That would be quite a feat. He has about an hour of footage and is maybe a tenth of the way through disc one.....yeesh. Maybe he should do a summary review, like he did with FF7, rather than go through every single second of the game.
I tried to like FF8 when it came out, I really did. The frustrating card game, BAFFLING junction system, and cut and paste type storytelling all piled up into one big headache. (All those Laguna flashbacks confused and bored me to tears). The sappy story finally compelled me to drop it in disc 3 and pick up Chrono Cross, which I liked alot better.:P

This series is one of the best things on the internet, easy, and this last video almost killed me. I think I've chuckled once while watching a AVGN-video, but during this video I laughed so hard it hurt.

I felt the urge to register and comment because i actually watched the entirety of part 1 through 7 (except for that religious rant about pr0n on google images because ha! we all know about it already. lol). I am someone who can enjoy dissing and laughing at what i love. I even love to hate some things in the game, and that is where you came in. You kindly (i know, i'm too kind) pointed out the hilariously stupid things that exists in this game. Despite liking the game myself i thoroughly enjoyed your review so far and laughed my fucking ass off while watching it. Thanks.

I feel that part of the reason you don't like this game, is that you totally suck at it. I mean, your hours spent drawing spells (a task I hardly ever did, playing this game), your fail in fighting tactics when dealing with some of the bosses, and so on. Don't get me wrong, it's one lousy game compared to other FF-titles, but your suckage makes it ten times worse, and it must come of as super-frustrating, when playing sans skllz, man!

I liked this review(s?). You did a good job ranting about them, and in the end, that is the purpose of these internet video-reviews, isn't it? I kinda missed the part in time when this kind of review became more and more popular - I just woke up one day, and everyone with a Youtube-account was dishing out rants about bad products, and throwing in all sorts of cultural references they could in the process. Well, I don't mind, they are really fun to watch.

Hey I'm a FF8 fanboy and I finished the game twice (and liked it), but now thanks to you I begining to see the light and realise the time I've wasted. Still, I WILL NOT be convinced until you continue bashing on this game : free me from my fanboyism!!!

These are actually reminding me of all the reasons I love this game. Zombie Presidents, retarded train stealing plots, narcoleptic soldiers, Quistis shooting missiles out of her boobs, etc. Fantastic.
