I've never played this version of the game, I've only played the remake
(Resident Evil 1) for the Gamecube,RE Deadly Silece for DS, RE Zero, RE 2, RE Code Veronica, RE Umbrella
Chronicles, RE 3, RE 4, and RE 5.

10.25.2009 - 23:17 | SkitchThey're actually not that bad at all, personally. Dead Aim is pretty fun because it essentially controls very closely to RE4 for the Wii (and soon to be RE5 for PS3). Outbreak was an amazing concept that had small (but notable) flaws in its execution.

I love how my comments got thumbs down when other people got thumbs up for quoting the video. I don't have a problem with it because what I said was pretty stupid now that I look back but I believe there is a special place in hell for people who quote the video they're commenting.

playing the original ever again. Being able to skip door opening animations in
the DS port is a big improvement, in my opinion.

RE 1 isn't that bad, it has genuine scares and could have been a lot worse. But RE 2.....wow. That P.O.S. has earned the right to be destroyed and lampooned to hell. I've seen Halloween costumes of Nemesis that were scarier than what they used.
Good luck reviewing the rest, hopefully you wont become a Phelous sandwich. :(

lasers can kill normal people, why don't you just don't wire the entire station with it, yes your power bill be an enormous, and yes it's very expensive but if you're dealing with a zombie plague virus, wouldn't you try to kill all the zombies, the most effective way possible.

Though I find it funny that they made the standard Licker enemy into their big monster for the movie.

They were filming the fourth installment in my school campus a few weeks ago :( .

In the game, the poor translation of the game had a bit where Jill is almost crushed and one guy proclaims, "You were almost a Jill sandwich!"

Yah, like with Silent Hill, it was a case of people who probably spoke mostly Japanese writing dialogue for American voice actors (and, like with Silent Hill, it's a lot less obvious after the first game, so apparently they learned their lesson).

man its a good thing i skipped ahead. I played this and thought it was a stupid parody. After letting it run for a few minutes i just randomly skiped ahead and noticed it was a review. If i hadn't done that i probably would have turned it off
That intro was way too long and not funny. Please people stop doing lame parody skits in reviews. AVGN has gone seriously downhill since he started doing those heavily

Yet when the films are made, its turned into some kind of Sci Fi romp. I know that holograms and lasers and shit were in the games but they were never as in your face as in these films. I want a Resident Evil movie that takes place in what feels like the real world!

The first RE movie wasn't all that bad; it kicked some ass. Some of the acting could have been better, but the zombies and Hunter (or Licker or whatever) gave the flick the right amount of RE flavor. It's the sequels that really bite hard. Imagine a corporation building a wall that can contain an entire city, and a Nemesis monster that recognizes Alice and decides to fight for her. And don't get me started on that third piece-of-crap flick!
Oh, and yes, the lasers do count.
Think about it, Capcom must have thought the lasers were pretty damn cool, so they put them in RE4.

Except for the fact that, y'know, it came [u]after[/u] the movie by a few years, which still doesn't explain what basis Anderson had for incorporating lasers in the movie if it's supposed to be based off the game. ;)

Anyways, yeah, this movie franchise is plain wretched like most VG movies out there is it was expected for the most part. But yeesh there are so many things that lack sense in this movie.
Though interesting history lesson about Romero's rejected script. Well, back to eating my Jill and Joseph sandwich.
