I simply can't wait to see parts two and three. The parody of the opening sequence was simply awesome. :D
Oh, and "That doesn't count!" :P
YES IT DOES!!!!!!!!!!
I've never played this version of the game, I've only played the remake
(Resident Evil 1) for the Gamecube,RE Deadly Silece for DS, RE Zero, RE 2, RE Code Veronica, RE Umbrella
Chronicles, RE 3, RE 4, and RE 5.
Who can top me?
Hmm, well, in addition to what you have listed, I've also played the original for the PS1 when it first came out, Outbreak 1 and 2, and Dead Aim for the PS2. :P

Me.
I've played all of them.
Anway, the main reason I responded was this.
"I've never played this version of the game"
You mean the original?
The DS version was practically the same version.
-
10.29.2009 - 17:50 | Richard WeskerIndeed, but after playing the DS version, I don't think I could ever go back to
playing the original ever again. Being able to skip door opening animations in
the DS port is a big improvement, in my opinion.

10.25.2009 - 23:00 | kotorfan04Was that spoony in the opening bit as Albert Wesker?
-
10.25.2009 - 23:24 | SpotTheShingoNope, it's someone else.
Also, Coldguy laugh!

LoL, it looked like that dog said Morpheous's line, "Show Me".
RE 1 isn't that bad, it has genuine scares and could have been a lot worse. But RE 2.....wow. That P.O.S. has earned the right to be destroyed and lampooned to hell. I've seen Halloween costumes of Nemesis that were scarier than what they used.
Good luck reviewing the rest, hopefully you wont become a Phelous sandwich. :(

10.26.2009 - 00:30 | AdmiralAwesomeI had only played Resident Evil 4 when I had seen this movie and I still didn't like it even with my lack of knowledge on what the games were actually like.
Though I find it funny that they made the standard Licker enemy into their big monster for the movie.
Awesome review and awesome opening!

10.26.2009 - 00:57 | KnightcloudGreat review. The Resident Evil movie franchise is really horrid. Unfortunately, it does not seem like the franchise ended after Extinction.
They were filming the fourth installment in my school campus a few weeks ago :( .

You might be my favorite reviewer on this site.

man its a good thing i skipped ahead. I played this and thought it was a stupid parody. After letting it run for a few minutes i just randomly skiped ahead and noticed it was a review. If i hadn't done that i probably would have turned it off
That intro was way too long and not funny. Please people stop doing lame parody skits in reviews. AVGN has gone seriously downhill since he started doing those heavily
-
i read the remo spicrt it was much better than the thing we have instead it had it flaws but i think it would mkae a good movie geart ep

10.26.2009 - 05:07 | punchline36I've never understood why the Resident Evil movies were so stylised. The very reason the original games were so successful was the realism. Yet when the films are made, its turned into some kind of Sci Fi romp. I know that holograms and lasers and shit were in the games but they were never as in your face as in these films. I want a Resident Evil movie that takes place in what feels like the real world!

And nice review. What's the name of the music used in the characters profile show?

The first RE movie wasn't all that bad; it kicked some ass. Some of the acting could have been better, but the zombies and Hunter (or Licker or whatever) gave the flick the right amount of RE flavor. It's the sequels that really bite hard. Imagine a corporation building a wall that can contain an entire city, and a Nemesis monster that recognizes Alice and decides to fight for her. And don't get me started on that third piece-of-crap flick!
Oh, and yes, the lasers do count.
Think about it, Capcom must have thought the lasers were pretty damn cool, so they put them in RE4.
lasers can kill normal people, why don't you just don't wire the entire station with it, yes your power bill be an enormous, and yes it's very expensive but if you're dealing with a zombie plague virus, wouldn't you try to kill all the zombies, the most effective way possible.
I think there's is just one way in. So lasers in the entrence would be perfect :)

10.30.2009 - 15:37 | Richard WeskerAgreed. I hope that for part 6, Capcom goes back to the basics and makes a game that's primarily about exploration, traps and puzzles rather than running and gunning. Oh yeah, and bring back the atmosphere and mood too.

It's Cold Guy!
Anyways, yeah, this movie franchise is plain wretched like most VG movies out there is it was expected for the most part. But yeesh there are so many things that lack sense in this movie.
Though interesting history lesson about Romero's rejected script. Well, back to eating my Jill and Joseph sandwich.
Oh, and "That doesn't count!" :P
