Good TOP 9. None of these except for Katamary Damacy (forced to play Me and My Katamary on PSP which has a crappy control but since I don't have a PS2) would be in my pick but it's your memories B) .

great list and video, I love how you add plot to your countdowns! so epic!
cherry blossom color season or whatever that katamari song is called was always one my my favorites, I remember goin g into a videogame store in 6th grade and hearing it playing over the stereo,and immedately starting a conversation with the cashieer about how awesome katamari music was.
Grim fandango brings back memories, when I was 6 or 7 I loved to watch my big bro johnny play it, and dabble in my myself (mostly I just ran around the festival)
and final fantasy IX is by d=far my favorite final fantasy game, and the moment you chose was beautiful and epic.

Ten bucks says that "We Are The Ants" makes it on that list. :P

I don't think "not mentioning" translates to "outright hatred". Halo's got enough praise and recognition as it is. Halo's got a good soundtrack, but this is also [i]Paw's[/i] List.

I like the little Paw sprite. I also like that MacGuffin GET thingy. I just do.
I think I also some sort of Lovecraftian horror during that Chrono Cross thing.
And seriously, what the fuck Paw?
Go buy and play The Darkness for either Xbox 360 or PS3. It's music, especially Jenny's Theme, is perfect for everything. Darkness, love, loss, revenge.
I hope you realize you're gonna get a visit in your sleep from me tonight... and my friend, the nail-gun.
Also, i was not expecting Goggles, Spoony or AngryJoe!
And I love the part where paw goes Super Saiyan.
Also, this a good list!

That was a kick ass top 9! It was a really pleasant surprise to see Wild Arms 3 and Xenosaga in there since they probably have the best game soundtracks I've ever heard. This list couldn't have been easy to make, since there has been a ton of awesome gaming music in the past years.
However, the hardest choice must have been what to choose for Uematsu. That guy has a ton of brilliant moments!
Let me also take a wild guess here. That machine gun effect for Spoony's machine gun...was that the minigunner sound effect from the original C&C?

Magical Dreamers, the Okami song, and You Are Not Alone were all songs I loved and still love today. In fact, they were some of the few songs that made me put the controller down just so I could listen to the song a little longer.

This song made a huge impact on me because it essentially took all that was Persona 3 and wrapped it into the single final boss theme, which also sort of wrapped everything up in itself.
Another one that stuck out for me was the Tallon Overworld theme from Metroid Prime; there were a few of them, but this is the one that's actually called "Tallon Overworld" on the soundtrack. It just seemed to fit the mood incredibly well, in my opinion.
