I think the NC beat the AVGN here, and I'm not just saying that because it's the NC website. True NC cheated by jacking Kyle Justin instead of getting his own musician; but AVGN's video wasn't even "nostalgic." True, it's kinda old, and it looked like a dog turd liquefied poured down an old man's throat, but where he failed is that the movie is obscure. It doesn't remind the view of anything. He himself barely remembered it from when it came out. At least TMNT 3's fair share of kids saw it and got disappointed, but RICKY 1? Never heard of it, and he acknowledges that we probably never have. So how is it nostalgic.
Oh, and this one was funny. RICKY 1 looked bad, but... kinda disturbing, too.

The Kyle Justin cameo was hilarious as were your frustrations with the game timing out. But, my favourite part was when you shouted "NEEEEEEERRRRRRRRDDDDDDD!" while pointing the gun in the air. Reference to Point Break, perhaps? Or maybe Hot Fuzz?
Anyway, hilarious review. Never played the game, but I've never seen more than two minutes of the film version.

You, Nostalgia Critic, have officially proven that you are the superior comic genius.
That was all-around awesome and it was a beautifully biting parody of the AVGN. I wish you could've done more of the Nerd's trademark nonsense cursing, but the theme rehash made up for that.
Every joke was hilarious. Every facial expression was priceless. The Point Break reference was beautiful. You took the AVGN's schtick and you made it your own. This wasn't just the victor of your face-off with the AVGN, but I'd dare say that it was your greatest review ever.

Oh My God, that was brilliant! Kudos to you and Kyle working together too-- his song really made the video that much funnier. But really, it was fantastic on its own. Not only did that game look terrible, but I appreciated that you didn't give up at level one, but really gave us a chance to see what a horrid game it is! And the theme of constantly wanting to destroy it? Priceless.
Hmm, I'm having a video game party today-- our hacked Wii so that it has a channel with all of the Sega, orig. Nintendo, and most Super NES games of it-- and I'll have to see if we have this horrid game. Shaq Fu is already on the list, and this may have to forced upon people too, haha. But wait.... there's no L and R buttons on the classic controller. 0___o Will that mean just being stuck and not being able to uppercut? Noooooooooo!

AVGN's movie review was pretty funny, and I thought this was hilarious as well. Bebe's Kids? Good God... I never expected THAT. I knew there was a movie but I had no idea they made a game out of it.
Also, some are saying AVGN's review wasn't "Nostalgic" enough. That nobody remembers it. Ah, but who cares? It was still funny and so is this video. AVGN introduced us an obscure movie, and NC introduced us a dreadful game. Thanks guys!

This review was very good. I would say you outdid James Rolfe, but that would just piss off all the fanboys.
Oh, wait. I don't care about fanboys. You outdid James, man. Not just on this challenge but in general. You have a dynamic style and a sense of comic timing and pacing. My only complaint is with the mentions of the Angry Video game Nerd through the video. That's a minor quibble but I thought the review stood on its own without the mentions of the "feud."

I think this was much better than the Nerd's movie review, and not just because I'm on this site (in fact I only found out about TGWTG from Cinemassacre but now I've watched every video). The thing is, James Rolfe already reviews movies, and he's good at it - the Nerd persona itself however is tailored towards video games and it's specific enough I don't think his it translated well to movies. The Nostalgia Critic persona however always seemed more geared towards bad things in general and was much more adaptable.
Just my two cents.

Had an idea for another AVGC episode: The Top 11 Worst Consoles Of All Time.
Also, I thought the controls for the SNES version of the "Batman Forever" were even worse than "Bebe's Kids" just by watching videos of it on YouTube! (even the AVGN's video on ScrewAttack.com) I mean, why should I hit the D-pad up to jump, Select to shoot a grappling hook, right or left on the D-pad twice and then Y to roll, Up+Select to shoot the grappling hook up, and Down+R to jump down?!
I'd rather it be:
A to jump X for the grappling hook Just hitting the D-pad right or left twice (without Y) to roll Up+X to shoot the hook up Down+A to jump down
