While I in no way am saying that downloading the comic is bad, the laptop on your lap seemed too out of place, couldn't you have just pretended you had the comic for yout bits on tape? Just a "comic double" or something. Otherwise great stuff.

You have a serious work ethic with all these updates. I must say me like. Me like a lot. Keep up the good work and yes silver age was a confusing time. Think if it was for death of the Stacy's this would probably never would end.

You've GOTTA love any video that references Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, SNL, and Hudson Hawk all within several minutes of each other. This would've been good just if you pointed out the ridiculousness of the comic, but being chock-full of pop culture references is a huge plus man. Kudos!

Man, it's just like the Adam West Batman, only cheesier, worse and even less realistic.

Only difference, the Adam West show didn't outright suck; at least it was actually funny

I should point out that while the Adam West series gets a lot of the flack for the image of Batman as campy and lighthearted, it was actually reflecting the comics at the time, not the other way around. Batman had been like that for years before the Adam West show.

I wish I could come up with a witty or creative way to say that you're quickly becoming one of my very favorite personalities on here but you continue to make me giggle and smile with every review you put out (and, as I've said before, I'm not a gigantic comic buff).

Before you watch this video, take a bottle of vodka poor 6 shot glasses about 75% full rest lemon put them on the table infront of your screen make a deal with yourself to finish every glass before the video is finished (i recommend to poor even more shots afterwards ) then watch everything with the Nostalgia critic, Ask that guy with the glasses and Linkara that would probably be a good evening for you :-)

Ouch that hurt. I have been trying to forget those silver age batman comics. They do hurt a bit, when taken out of the context they had back then. Still any excuse for a DS9 reference works for me!

I was actually enjoying this story in the sort of way any Silver Age comic can be enjoyed... that is until the alien.

The second story is reminiscent of the adam west series, and as such can be forgiven a lot - enough in fact for it to seem actually half decent.

So if the first story didn't have an alien, and the bat baby story didn't involve batman retaining his physique as a child, they would probably not be worth a rant video.

good video though, I look forward to the next one, right now you're keeping this site afloat for me, so keep'em coming

I think all the Adam West TV show was doing was simply portraying Batman for what the comics were at the time : Pure silly fun.

BTW, I never get tired of the "Ambiguously Gay Duo" running gag (is it a rule for everyone on this site to use it at least once ?;D NChick has already used it for He-Man)

Batman as comic book on its campiest. That kinda had that same thing Adam as West series had. Time when comic books made absolutly no sense at all.
