Ah, yes. The ninja turtles... a concept that's already admittedly pretty "out there"... get the treatment only the Japanese could give.

Only having the turtles find magic crystals that allow them to combine into one giant angel-like creature called "Turtle Saint" could make the original concept of mutated humanoid turtles sound PLAUSIBLE by comparison.

Thanks for fueling my nightmares, Kaylyn.

That wasn't TMNT. No way. No how. No no. This can't be real. Oh my God...it is. That makes little to no sense.

The turtles shouldn't have powerups like that like Spider-Man shouldn't have a mech in Japan. Wow.

I'm at a loss, Kaylyn. Good vid of course!

Alright, Marzgurl. Great new video! Where the heck did you find this video?

Wow... and I thought the Japanese "Spider-Man" series was the most insane ripoff, err... "adaptation" ever done. Guess they're paying us back for Haim Saban ruining Sentai here in America. Though I did like the anime design for Dark Shredder in the second ep.

Except Japanese Spiderman was a fun show and Stan Lee himself actually likes it. Then again Stan kind of a fanboy about Japanese hero popculture.

i will give the OVAs credit when it came to its animation style. it does look fairly good. and i would've also bought those toys if they came to Canada.

 You would think in the land of ninja they would make the turtles more ninja like

I definitely remember the first one there. I didn't see it but I saw a text review back when I was like 10 or something.

AND IT WAS SO WEIRD BACK THEN, and you know what? IT'S STILL WEIRD. And I really hate how Shredder's just like, a comic relief character there.

About once a year, my college anime club mocks this OVA during our MST3K meeting. It's just so mockable!

Out of curiosity, what are your thoughts on The Next Mutation and the introduction of Venus?

Was I the only one who liked that series?

Another great episode. I think you've found your calling with these vids. Most of this is stuff I've never heard of so it's pretty informative. Keep it up.

The same thing can be said about other countries when they adapt stuff from other countries. Dragonball Evolution anyone?

I was part of a fan dub of this, and it was a load of fun. I got to be Shredder, a great role. You want a totally molestation of the TMNT check out We Wish You a Turtle Christmas and Turtle Tunes....they will make your ears bleed.

I had seen the opening for this on a website and thought it was a joke. Interesting to see that it was real, kinda want to see it now.

Great to see you again, MarzGurl. I can't believe my favorite cartoon show being ripped apart like this. Although I probably won't what to watch it, however, the visuals look pretty good. Can't wait for your next video, MarzGurl. Keep it up!

Good God, the Super Turtle designs are fucking atrocious. If I had those as a kid, I'd probably have set them on fire, just so that they'd melt and become less hideous.

Oh so it was Krang that caused Ultimatium.

As painful as this is I'd think it would be actually watchable compared to "Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation."

    Punish these Turtles!

Wow. The things people will do to market toys... Well, thanks Marzy. That was all kinds of crazy. I like the terrors theme that's going on. It's always nice to see a new Marzgurl video.

Interesting to note the guy who did the Japanese voice for Krang is also the Japanese voice for Meowth in Pokémon.

I'd bet that shuttle that saved them was running on an infinite improbability drive.

Then again, for something so ridiculous to exist, the whole of Japan must be running on an infinite improbability drive!

You know, for Japanese productions of American shows, I liked Powerpuff Girls Z. It was an effective parody of the Magical Girl genre. TMNT serves the same role as PPG.

And this show just...fails to parody the genre that TMNT parodied! Why? Because it sucks so hard, it's in a genre of its own!

I don't mind these reviews. Well written and the pacing is good. But the audio and visual quality is so poor it's hard to watch.

that was an odd adaptation to start with. However as we all know if it's on the tv the kids will have to have it so I can see why one would produce this sort of thing.
