They couldn't let you kill innocent aliens or lose any crew members, so they put in regeneration capsules. So everyone has a happy ending, and you don't kill anyone innocent. What a cop-out.

Don't those flying little critters look like something from Voyager? To me they look really similar to something from the episode Equinox.
Most ships have bottomless pits mainly for dumb federation explores to look over the edge into before the hulking beamoth creature jumps out and removes their face.
You know for all the times you go into a room and almost get toasted you would have thought they would have given you some sort of grenade for clearing the room out of any beasties.
Still great review gonna watch part 4 now!

I do Let's Plays as well and I know how it feels to get jipped by your recording software.

Also if you don't mind a little advise, the exlosions and action kind of drowns you out at times and makes it hard to hear. I've had the same thing happen on alot of my LPs and I would (kindly) advise that you lower the SFX Volume of the game to 1/3 to 1/2 that of the game dialogue, and make sure that all the game audio records softer then your dialog since that's why were watching, lol. Unless you have a Realtek sound card (like me) you should be able to adjust the difference in commentary and game volume though your computers volume control. You probably already know that though, but it took me a while to figure out. (And never EVER get a computer with a Realtek Sound card!) Any way great LP thus far. I'm really looking forward to more.

Those flying aliens appear to be really ineffective versions of those aliens from the Voyager episode "Equinox".
I say ineffective because if they get right next to you in the episode, you die.
Well unless you're Janeway. Then you get mildly annoyed.

Oh, yes, the other members of the hazard team are so annoying...I particularly hate it when they say "behind you!", because it makes me think that there is something behnd me, instead of them just spouting it at random whenever something appears from any direction.

I was really hoping you'd say something about the bit when Telsia disappeared. "There's completely no trace of her...it's like she was vapourised"...because if she was vapourised, then the room would be flooded with Telsia vapour, which you'd notice, as you aren't wearing helmets. Grrr.

Oh...was meaning to ask you about how you had the controls configured and where you put your fingers...it always seems to me that I'm an important control or two short.

loved the Guyver reference! It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the ship, well, that and Geiger XD I dunno I kinda like the gross organic ship but hey, I'm weird...and speaking of phallic imagery did anyone else think the stasis gun looked a bit like... part of the internal female anatomy? Or is that just me too?

i hated this ship god how i hated this ship one minute you have everything working the next there are dozens of these things behind you and destorying the spawn points? pointless with those regenerating pixies in the air

Not the only part to do that. At least it didn't have any of that "go down elevator into small room, kill handful of monsters, go down identical elevator into identical small room, kill identical handful of monsters, repeat" bits.

I thought the ship was sort of cool, personally, a bit different from normal.

If organic spaceships squick you, I would highly advise AGAINST playing "Prey". Seriously... I don't want to even get into describing some of the crap you see on that ship.

For those who haven't played it, that last sentence was entirely literal.

And for those who still don't understand what I'm getting at, parts of the spaceship actually shit on you.

yeah I have played that game and it's...different.

It's like the old Nickelodeon (the one with slime as there main theme) it's extremely gross, but awesome at the same time.

Ya know, I could never understand how the people in Star Trek can use and download alien data when I can't even play a video without spending a week looking for players and converters!!

They're on a freaking organic-ship, their technology don't even resemble Voyagers eletronics, I doubt the softwares do!
or, for instance, the Borg. They're the collectiveness of thousands of assimilated alien technology. Don't you think they'd have some kick-ass criptic codes!! Specially since that's their LIVES! (Or should I say their LIFE?)
