Hi Linkara,
Long time fan, but only leaving my first comment today. I just wanted you to know that I really love this new series of 'themed recommendations'.
I love watching you tear into bad comics and point out all the various ways that narrative, character and artwork can be so badly mishandled. It's fun AND informative.
But it's wonderful getting these recommendations of really GREAT comics too. I've actually purchased a couple of new graphic novels series, thanks to your bringing them to my attention. Much appreciated :)
I really hope you have plans to continue this 'themes recommendation' series. Doesn't necessarily have to be scary comics, but there are LOTS of other themes that could be followed up on, and I'd love to have some more little known gems brought to my attention :D
Any chance of a recommending comics that run along the theme of primarily female characters. I've read a few good ones, such as Persepolis, the Girl Genius series and Rapunzel, but I'd love to hear some more recommendations from an expert :)

"Mr Geribaldi, have I ever told you about the Great Centauri Empire?"

Wow I have been absent from this site for far too long. I need to go back and watch a ton of these LotD vids... ;_; I blame my professors.
For some reason I never really saw much of Tales of the Crypt. Probably because my siblings didn't watch it when we were growing up. Somehow I've known about the comics for a long time, but never got a chance to read them. If there is a nice book of several issues put together, I am totally buying it. This calls for a Google search!

Hi. :) These are really awesome videos, Linkara. You must have great fun doing them. I would love to see a behind the scenes video but I guess it's too late for requests. The intro is great too, I love it. Well, about the accent: If you are Bela Lugosi you have a transylvanian accent for he was from Transylvania- Romania. But he was a hungarian-romanian, because transylvania once was part of Hungary, (1918) so he grew up in Hungary, moved to Hollywood later on because of his movie carreer. (not sure how to spell it :() Accents are different for each and every person though...so I have no idea what I am talking about.

You guys may laugh, but censorship is no laughing matter. Imagine a world where everything has to be overly PC. Every swear word rewritten. Every bit of violence edited so the slasher villain doesn't even hurt anyone. Every bit of sex and nudity cut out. Anything that would be even slightly obscene, sacrilegious, offensive, or even a little adult would be altered. If the whole world was overly censored, then I wouldn't be able to call it pants shitting scary.

I loved Tales from the Crypt (the shows) growing up. It's weird because I was such a scaredy cat as a child. I couldn't even watch the Outer Limits or X Files much. But I loved this and Tim Burton movies. I honestly don't even understand myself sometimes. I didn't know until a few years ago that it was based on a comic series. I haven't read any yet, but I plan to. The story that interested me the most was the Mirror Mirror one. That one really intrigued me. The last story seems predictable tho. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure the sheriff is the werewolf. And yes Moarte, censorship is scary, very, very scary indeed.
