Hey,nice to see some returning faces from The Snob. Centron sure looves his 30 year old teens. You gotta wonder how an IMDB page would look in those times. Somehow "Snobby Teenage Girl" in Centron production of The Snob and The Gossip doesn't sound like resume gold.
Seriously,why did Doug stopped making That Guy Riffs? Those inter-TGWTG cross-voiceovers were a lot more fun that other attempts at riffing that have come out more recently (dun get mad,Lewis).

Well, that's the fifties for ya. I've seen a lot of fifties videos and most teenage guys sounded like that. Same thing goes with the girls' vibe. That's just how women, hell people, were written back then. I had a teacher who actually grew up in the fifties and he told us real life was nothing like on TV...just like today! :D I agree with what you said how the other friend actually went to go talk to her and the main character doesn't despite the fact they talked about it the night before. And why didn't the teacher ask the friend herself? As an adult, she should know better than to listen to rumors. She even admits to not trusting Frieda, but doesn't do anything about it. Also, why would the boyfriend say, "Pfft, girls," in front of his own girlfriend? That's just stupid.

Now *that's* a short I'd watch! The kid from "Cheating" is elected Pep Club President and within days his pernicious influence has unleashed madness: Drunk drivers in plaid shirts are mowing down pedestrians. Forrest fires are breaking out all over. People are deliberately stopping their cars on railroad crossings. School dances have become Bacchanal orgies because no one is following the insanely strict rules of how to engage in small talk or how long the phone call asking the girl out should be. (In fact telephones and cars don't even work anymore because all the springs have disappeared somehow.) And all over town, shrill shrieking children are finding themselves transported from their reality to some nightmarish Lord Of The Flies Island in a Hell Dimension conjured up by an insane sadistic narrator.

This has been the best riff so far imo.
I liked the dynamic between the two of you; it removed a lot of the awkward silences and added a lot more jokes, and less time spent watching the actual PSA (which is good because we're all hear for the riff)
It also helps that Will's voice is so dreamy :D *swoon*

I'm glad you have a second riffer in this. For some reason, riffs always seem funner with more than on person delivering them-- Maybe it's the timing, but even the same jokes coming from 2 voices instead of one just seems to work better.

02.01.2013 - 20:45 | spacemanfromcanadafrom the first riff i knew i was going to enjoy this. bloody FAN-TASTIC!!! spot on riffs! have to say this crap-tastic PSA is no better then CENTRY 21 CALLING but almost as fun to riff. one of my favs hands down is DUCK AND COVER. the reason this junk is not seen in schools anymore its OUT DATED!!! boys beware is one of the worst things to come out of the 50s. that and the WOMEN IN THE KITCHEN bull crap. it really is good to riff we can make fun of the stupid ages AKA THE 1950s.
