It's really so bad, you actually needed two parts to explain it?
Y'know, back when I watched it the first time, I had no problems with it. But looking at it now...oi. Although *braces himself for flaming* I still don't have a problem with Justin.
And the pizza thing...funny how T.J. thinks that it's something he can brag about. It's just...well, stupid.

05.13.2010 - 18:30 | redmangcYeah it was the same with me, but you still gotta admit the theme is still pretty kick-ass almost as good as the original... thanks for making it stuck in my head again lyn i thought i would never remember it... thanks
and about the pizza.
Well it looks like this show has gotten even... Cheesier
YEEAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

05.08.2010 - 22:07 | maxxy007Oh now come on Linkara this season was just trying to be EXSTREAM!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: No but seriously I remember watching this season and only thinking one thing, why cars? I mean I think it almost turned into just what the 80s were during this season where it was now just one giant show for marketing all the new toys that were in.
Also I found Justin annoying and I honestly couldn't think of why Zordon chose him. Look at him he dosn't really scream badass now does he.
Also did Zordon and the original Alpha leave the show? I don't really know. But that replacement for Alpha reminds me alot of crazy Zelda from Spoonys Game Crazy video.

Great work, Linkara - this is my favorite installment yet, and I even wrote a blog
http:// thatguywiththeglasses.com /community/blog/21377
detailing some of my feelings on it.
I'm really looking forward to your take on In Space, though; when you think about it, that's such a natural place for the series to go, you know? The Morphers came from space, Zordon and Alpha came from space, the bad guys come from space - the only Earth-born things are the heroes and the setting. Them going into space is kind of coming full circle.

Justin's okay. I was always jealous of him, though. I wanted to be a Ranger...maybe not Blue, but a Ranger.

05.08.2010 - 22:49 | CornbaneI cut off my power ranger watching before this. Kind of glad I did, the Mighty Morphin' Trio seems to be the pinnacle.
-
Maybe they got downgraded from the Zeo power because Divatox was such a joke. Zordon thought he could take the zeo crystals go help eltar without any real danger.

While most of the Power Rangers I've seen has been fragmented, I remember catching the least of this season out of all of them. I did notice the differences nonetheless. Seeing this part of your series, it's good to know I didn't miss that much of Power Rangers lore, so to speak.
Nice video Linkara. I look foward to the next one especially :cheer:
-Edit-
I just realized that I'm going to have a lot of fun saying, "The evil pizzas were no match for a simple stoplight," completely out of context on random occasions.

another great one linkara. I always forget how bad or good a series is until someone points out parts of it. im sorry to say when i was younger i did not hate Turbo. BUT I HAVE AN EXCUSE! when i was younger i did not think too much into the plots or characters, i just enjoyed the fighting. But now that you've looked back at it and mentioned it, yeah they screwed up a lot on it.
Btw it's okay to keep mentioning Kimberly's departure because it was the best one. They did an incredibly bad job getting rid of tommy and the others like that.
oh yeah, another thing about shadow ranger, i looked it up on the power rangers wiki, one theory about him is that he is Zordon's son. just sayin.
But whatever, see you again when we set controls to Outer Space.

05.08.2010 - 22:55 | RoivasThanks for posting another excellent retrospective, this was the series that had me outgrow the show and shed it forever. I heard In Space was better but the filler episodes of this season were pretty repetitive even for Power Rangers were amazingly horrible.
The evil pizzas...

I remember reading that, at a Power Morphicon, the creators (or someone in charge of story) said that the Phantom Ranger is basically a ghost embodying the spirits of all the Rangers in all their incarnations. No idea how that works.
I kind of prefer him with no explanation, though. Makes him more Phantomy. No explanation, no reason for his existence, he's just...there.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I am loving this series, but long intro was long. I'd shave it down in future installments. If people weren't used to getting quality videos from you and knew what to expect, the terribly lengthy double intro would be a hooge turnoff. @_@
Still, awesome video. I don't think I ever watched this part of the series. Good to know I wasn't missing anything!

This is about when I started to fade away from Power Rangers cause I still remember the awful villian and powers. I don't think it was in particular cause of how the series was going...or maybe it was, cause I was just losing interest.
I can't wait for the next series. I'm interested to see where they took it from here. I've seen pictures here and there of the shows since then, but this will be all new to me. I really love these videos. So far a good trip down memory lane.

05.09.2010 - 00:13 | Reverend clickAs always, very enjoyable. I just can't help but laugh at how angry you sound at the end of part one. A feeling I can empathize with. 'Turbo' was the end of the power rangers for me. I never even made it to the end of the season before giving up on it. I remember making to the episode were the team changed with no ceremony at all, and said 'fuck it' And moved on. so everything past this point that you do, is going to be very interesting to me, because it would all be new.

The Other reason they did Turbo was because the kids who watched thw show from season 1 were getting older and PR didn't appeal to them that much, but their younger siblings were but they still needed to try and appeal to their loyal fans so they made Turbo.
When MMPR First aired I was About...4 I think and by the Time Turbo aired I was 7...No Wait I'm 18 right now...well you get the point, I liked MMPR cause I was young and my big bro liked it as well as my friends, but Turbo...I Kinda watched it...after In space i kinda stopped watching.

Anyways, Believe me; it's only going to go uphill from here. I dont remember much of In Space, I remember the ending oddly enough, and some scattered memories of LG. The next four seasons' end are when I stopped watching, Linkara. Things come some what full circle in LSR as we're dealing with human made technology fighting off demons, pretty much the Power Rangers' equivallent of Hell. Now THAT's COOL! Keep the awesome videos coming. :D
