Partly. It's comes from an old Cartoon Network commercial that did a better job with the Superfriends theme than any other rendition I've heard:

I remember that comercial. It was back when Cartoon Network took time and effort with their comercials for their shows. I miss the late 90's early 2000's.

I know the guy who made that Superfriends remix. His name is Michael Kohler, and you can listen to the various works he made over the years for networks like Cartoon Network, Boomerang, etc. (all streamable for free) at his website.

It is a bit sad a team of SHAPE-SHIFTING ROBOTS aren't paid much attention, but sadly thats how most DC heroes are.

Definitely. There are plot points and scenes that may confuse you due to referencing other materials, but like Titans/JLA: Technis Imperative, it just makes you want to read more about the characters and other books. So yes, pick up 52 and give it a shot!
