There's absolutely nothing wrong with a good Harley Quinn fantasy.
...
Perhaps I've said too much.
Uh... looking forward to 52! That's... that's it. That's what I meant to say. No, that's still not it. 52's already out, I can't look forward to it, and why would I? Looking forward to 52 being destroyed! There! That's was it. That's what I was going for. Yes.

And yet, all I can focus on was that the ending theme there had the same chord progression as "Rock You Like A Hurricane."
I fixate on weird things.
You poor, brave man. Having to try to explain Donna Troy. Do you need a hug?
P.S. Hey, the Trickster/Piper Comedy Hour was the only thing keeping me buying the title for a while. Lay off. :P

I think Identity Crisis was kind of brilliant. It was a dark, but fresh take on the DCU. Every issue I read, I was left wanting more and couldn't wait for the heroes to catch the murderer.
'Identity Crisis' wasn't bad. And even if you found flaws with that story, Stevie Wonder could see that it was nowhere near as bad as Amazons Attacks or Countdown. Oh, I can't wait for you to review that. But in the mean time, I will settle in, and laugh while you clown Countdown in the coming weeks.
Oh and, leave 'One More Day' alooooone! This review is supposed to be about DC's incompetent editorial staff, not my beloved Marvel's incompetent editorial staff! LOL (I kid, I kid)

I like this just cause it proves that, while Quesada is certainly rather stupid, Didio isn't better.
The whole explanation also reminded me why I don't read DC. I don't hate all the characters...but even I, who can absorb information like a sponge, can't keep up with THEIR continuity quirks. Marvel's odd, don't get me wrong. But oy, DC...
Anyway, another good review, Linkara. Instead of a training montage, do a "Countdown to Countdown" thing on your blogspot, with pictures of you grappling with the various characters or something. That would be sweet.

Oh god. No wonder 52 was great and Countdown wasn't. WILL SOMEONE FUCKING FIRE DIDIO ALREADY? PREFERABLY, OUT OF A CANNON! ARGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!'
As for Identity Crisis, here's an observation you yourself may have noticed Linkara. To a casual comic or new reader, Identity Crisis comes off as a good story. To a hardcore reader who knows the fictional DC world well, it comes off as a mess of plot holes and stupidity that you have to bend over backwards making handwaves and asspulls for to make even the remotest amount of sense.
And someone fucking fire Didio. GOD I FUCKING HATE DIDIO.

Precisely, the 'more you think about it'. A casual reader likely won't: they'll just accept it.
But yeah. The 'mystery'. Which basically came off so bad because Meltzer tried to adapt a human concept (an unexpected murder) to a superhuman world, and it just would not fit. He tried handwaving it at the beginning with all sorts of insane security and all that, but about halfway through he seemingly just gave up and wrote it with a "IT WORKS BECAUSE I SAY SO!" style. Really, can you imagine a proper mystery in a superhuman world? It would melt your brain. We have legitimate evil twins, people who can time travel back and dispose of evidence or throw bodies into the sun, or eat the bodies and assume the identity, or...
Really Linkara, after this, I INSIST you review a good comic to relieve the pressure. Get some Astro City or something. Or Morrison's 90's JLA run (that was pretty good, wasn't it?).

Well I can see we're gonna have another "agree to disagree" moment here cause I loved "Idenity Crisis" as a whole. Hell I read it last year at work in the summer when we're slow and I almost cried reading the part where Batman and Robin were racing to save Tim's father! And they didn't make it! That was hearbreaking!
