The physical jokes are all comparisons to real physical traits the character wasn't suppose to have. Most were fat jokes but the idea of the silver surfer having to do sit ups to actually look like the silver surfer isn't the same as telling a fat person in real life to do sit ups. The same joke would be reversed if a character called fat man was drawn skinny.

(P.S. Who the hell was the artist for this comic?? He SUCKED! And I thought Liefeld and Friends were bad... The colourist wasn't much better -- if you ask me, the heroes weren't the only ones in this comic who were second-rate, oy...) :X

Fat Silver Surfer amuses me greatly. It's like the artist failed at drawing shitty 90's style over muscled superheros and ended up with shitty fat superheros instead.

Not that the story was anything amazing, but I think the artwork is what really kills this comic.

I'm not defending this comic (at all) but in the first shot of the Silver Surfer his stomach isn't bulging it's part of his (abnormally) large forearms. But on another note Jesus Tapdancing Christ these guys have small heads! :0

The 90s kid has to take over one day. He just has to do so. It's so fucking funny any time you go all 90s on it, that something truly horrible from the 90s. Deserves the 90s kid's undivided attention.

Oh yeah: WHO DREW THAT COMIC? It looked like Mike Mignola's style. If it were aped by people who believe tiny head syndrome or THS for short, is a good thing! Seriously, the Silver Surfer has been through so much, that he does not deserve an ass that massive. NO ONE DOES! NO ONE!

Somewhere, Rob Leifeld cries tears of joy (should be a catch phrase for the Dark age)

the magnificient bastard clip

your entire explanation about body sizes for comicartist (something a lot of artists seem to have failded back in those days)

the South Park reference with the underwear gnomes.

and well... every reaction to every stupid thing, as well as your short explanation over the Defenders (aka JLA for Marvel, but with less structure).
I can`t wait for the "conclusion" of this "great adventure".

Now my opinion to the comic itself:
Okay, the story is so far not the worst you ever reviewed. I mean, that would be Amazon Attack or Superman at worlds end. (Or Captain Planet because of lack of intelligence)
But this story has really the crappiest artwork I ever watched so far.
I mean, the obese Silver Surfer, Warmachines first picture (his arms aren`t "just" attached there, they are shrinking into his body in an ankle not possible this way), the entire "overmuscuared" characters and so on. They don`t look "normal", even for Rob Leifelds art in Youngblood No. 1. Honestly, Youngblood had in my opinion a better art then this.
And the characters... yeah, Silver Surfer wants to save us for a "magnificent villaines and master strategies"? I mean, not only that this woman reminds me of her actions (and your voice) more of Wonder Womans mom in Amazon Attack -but at last with a plan, even if he is stupid- but Silver Surfer? When did he show up during the last events to help?
I thzink they just took him, because they had no other characters there. That or they wanted to create a connection to the old Defenders but failed miserable.

And Warmachine and Thunder Max...
who are they?
Let`s be honest, if they were DC characters, they would be killed during the next possible event and no one would shrug.
Okay, that`s mean but... based on DCs policy of killing characters and Marvels tendency to somehow always bring up some "not common known" characters/heros during their events, I think you can make a joke like that.
And well, the story itself... as I said, not the worst so far, but still stupid. the entire exposition of the villain as "genius" is destroyed by the way her henchman are attacking the heros (and well, when this three can defeat her, she just has a very bad reputation), let`s not forget her plan and... well.
Oh well, next week I will see how this thing ends.
