why review Watchmen?

Looks like this is going to be a good year for AT4W.

Even without it being an actual new video, this was easily one of the more exciting videos to come out of the live broadcast. Speaking of that, though...

Firstly, I can only assume it was an honor to hear Doug and his brother themselves say "Wow...his stuff is better than our stuff." If it were me, I would have dropped to my knees weeping with happiness. Of course YOU ARE A MAN! so you probably wouldn't resort to such things, but I'm sure you felt pretty good nonetheless. ;)

However, I find it a little odd that in your contest announcement, you say "Unfortunately, I can't find a way to make fun of things that are good" (or something along those lines) but then during this preview...you say you're gonna review Watchmen?! I won't ask why you'd do the review, I won't ask what you make fun of; I'll keep the faith that you've got something truly, truly awesome (and thus worthy of Watchmen) planned. But I just wanted to point out the...irony? Hypocrisy? I dunno, whatever it is, it's weird that you'd claim to not be able to make fun of good things, but then do a Watchmen review. Unless...DO YOU NOT LIKE WATCHMEN?! Does the biggest comic book nerd any of us fans of this site have ever seen not like the Holy Bible of comicsdom? You crafty shrew...you've never ACTUALLY spoken a word of praise about it...you've been hiding this all along! Linkara...I thought I knew you...

Or you're just gonna rip on Rorshach's weird way of talking or something. :P And obviously I don't think I know you. Now give back my calculator. >:(

Can't wait til your future reviews. Makes me wish I nevervowed never to use my time machine ever agien, because then I could just go a couple of months into the future and see them.

Please say yes, because someone really, REALLY needs to tear that storyline a new asshole.

Now that's an effective trailer. Goofy? Yes. Gimmicky? A bit. Makes me greatly anticipate the upcoming reviews? Here's my left leg and part of my arm.

Not being a comic book/graphic novel person myself, I have never come across Watchmen. I hate to be a typical person and love it after seeing the movie (which looks really good), so I don't know what is so great about it. Hopefully, your review will shed some light.

Pertaining to the trailer...there was a really cool bit that involved the mechanical arm. When you synthasized your voice, I was deeply intrigued. There was so much left unsaid there...and it was the perfect moment to draw me in. Good trailer technique!


I really like a lot of your work, but sometimes it feels like you are working too hard for your jokes. This comes off almost as desperate, since you are collaborating on this site. I am unsure as to how to solve this problem, but I thought I would bring it up in case other people noticed/felt the same/had suggestions.

I am so pumped to find out what these are for. Especially the Watchmen one. I've read it and loved it, but also enjoyed some negative reviews that managed to be really funny about it. So, regardless on your stance on it, I'm super excited to see your video for it.

Just a question, do you think you'll ever review non-comic book material? What I mean by that is bad movies based off good comics, like Catwoman and Batman Forever.

...I love your stuff already, and I can tell that it's going to get better and better. Hell, your reviews have inspired me to possibly get a comic book that isn't a [i]The Far Side[/i] anthology or [i]Sam and Max[/i]. Trust me, that is saying something.
