Another amazing review, Linkara. You do a pritty good William Shatner, and a good job at parading him as well. Priceline! Although, I do have to admit, I've never actually seen Star Trek, but it has been on my to see list for a while.
So that gun is magic. I'd ask a question about that, but I know that no matter what I ask your awnser will be "it's magic, I don't have to explain it". (omd, lol)

;D Did you make that one up yourself? 'Cause that sums up Star Trek in a nutshell right there. (or at least what it has become since Voyager)
Thankfully this was bad simply because of weak writing and not terrible logic or science like a lot of modern Trek. No rubber forehead aliens we didn't already know about, no broken Aesop to complain about, and very little Quantum Sodomization * to speak of. At the very least all the drama/conflict came from characterization rather than some stupid anomaly of the week. But I'm not defending it: it read like a lame fanfiction with art that seemed to be trying too hard. Photo-realistic art doesn't really seem all that realistic when you show someone able to launch another person into the air with a low kick. That's bad even by Star Trek physics!
Overall great video, great special effects, great writing. Love this video.
* okay, "Quantum Sodomized?" Now I know I've seen one too many of Chuck Sonnenburg's Opinionated Voyager Episode Guides! ;)

Yay! A brand new day reference! Haha.
I liked this video for making a 'character' out of the comic (You should do that more often). But I am really not that interested in Star Trek and listening about a horid comic about Star Trek is really not my cup of tea. That's all I've got to input really. But I'm really excited to see more stuff from Atop the Fourth Wall.

They should probably change the continuity from being The Search for Spock to that amazing comic. Especially with the son of Bearclaw getting that kick of doom! She didn't have to explain that one either, it was magic as well. Or maybe they should steal your idea and change the continuity after the 2nd movie to the Enterprise getting attacked by mind numbing comics. (The fight with the comic was greatnesslevel)
Amusing trivia: that whole speech at the end with "From Hell's heart I stab at thee" was originally said by Captain Ahab from Moby Dick.
Yuppers, and in a nice nod to make sure it doesn't come out of nowhere, we do see among the items owned by the marooned crew of the Botany Bay is a copy of Moby Dick.

Ah, such wonderful humor. This must've been easy to write, with all the plotholes and stupid rip-offs. And, as always, Shatner is so ripe for parody it's almost not fair. Not FAIR, but really funny. ;)
One little thing that didn't get addressed--and I'm not the biggest Trekkie, so I could be wrong about it being a problem at all: The comic said (according to you, Link) that the Klingons were firing full PHASERS at the Gallant. Don't the Klingons use disruptors? I could swear.
There's another thing to say. I understand your dislike of One More Day, and trust me, I'm ALL for cheap shots at personal distastes (find me a discussion of bad television, and I'll find you five ways to work in my hatred of Spongebob...). But while the One More Day parody at the end is by all means funny, the true joke writes itself more easily than a diatribe on why sea sponges are unworthy of being children's icons (HAH!).
Comic: "I will now also drain your lifeforce, and there's nothing you can do to stop me!"
Linkara: "Nothing I can do? You're just a comic...and I AM A MAN!" *punch; comic explodes*
Ah, but that's just me being picky. :P
Also, you did decent imitations of Bones and Scotty, and your Shatner is just average (not saying I can do better), but for some reason your Sulu--sampled sadly only once--is top-of-the-line Grade A goodness my good sir! Congratulations are in order. :P

I want to keep the meme from getting stale, so the less frequently I use it the better. I should also cut back on the One More Day stuff, but I've been wanting to use that line ever since I first conceived of the magic gun. ^_~
And yeah, Klingons use disruptors but I forgave it since, like the warrior and honor thing, that tended to get more explicit in later Star Trek shows.

Yes, you're right, it is good to give it a rest. As I said, I was just being silly. ;)
But I see your point. I knew it was me just not being well-versed enough to see the purpose there. You have bested me in sci-fi trivia sir. I shall now go commit nerd hari kari by attempting to play a full contact sport. Pray for me, so that I may die with the honor of a Klingon Warrior. And don't let them touch my calculator. Thing's expensive. :P

My mum is a huge, huge Trekkie. Recently, when she had a day off from work, she sat through all the Star Trek movies I'd bought her for Christmas - Wrath of Khan, Voyage Home, Undiscovered Country (my personal favourite) and First Contact - all in a single day.
I doubt even she would be able to stomach reading this comic, however (and my mum has notoriously poor taste).
In any case, I thoroughly enjoyed this video, especially the things you came out with while in "Shatner Mode". That impression just made the jokes toxically funny.
