I don't think there's a big enough bar in the world to survive another Marville review.

All the pubs in Canada couldn't supply enough booze.

"Behold the ancient mystic D100. A man once tried to play D&D with this sacred tool, & was forever cursed by it's power."

Ooh, that sounds like a far more interesting story.

Awkward commercial tie-in moment...Linkara was apparently part of that lactation fetish.

Don't worry, my friend. According to his schedule on his Blogspot website, Linkara will review Marville #5 on July 29. That's 6 weeks from now.

So be warned now that after July 29th, alcohol might be hard to find in Minnesota.

1:01- This is the first I’ve heard of this. It would also be interesting if this will happen BEFORE April 5, 2063.

Masterthecreater did a nice job on making this episode’s title card look like the Octopussy poster.

4:39- So the planet’s like Krypton from the original Superman movies?

8:26- In the words of Larry the Cable Guy, “Have you ever farted so hard, your back cracks?”

11:14- I guess that according to this future, blankets went out of style, even for, you know, keeping you warm while you sleep.

14:06- I know the feeling of absorbing garbage. Whenever I flip the channel to E! and see that Sex and the City is on, I have no choice but to tell my TV screen the stupidity of the day to day life of whom I like to call “The Four Whores.”
At least I make up for it by seeing good stuff like Man of Steel.

15:54- I can’t believe this hasn’t been brought up, but last time I checked, the James Bond films have NO revealing nudity.

I didn’t think that SCI Spy was THAT bad until Nile gave us the BS that humans are the only technologically advanced beings in the universe. Pardon my French, but she’s a bitch, and I don‘t sympathize with stupid women.

Can wait to see how stupid, bland or average the future will be next week with Star Trek: TNG/X-Men.

Oh, yeah, last year in November io9 had a feature article about how this might work. It's an interesting read: http://io9.com/5963263/ how-nasa-will-build-its- very-first-warp-drive

A tesseract is a four-dimensional analog of a cube. This fun-fact has been brought to you by your local annoying knowitall. Knowitalls--annoying since the Renaissance!

Also, The Tesseract (or Cosmic Cube) was the MacGuffin of both "Captain America: The First Avenger" and "The Avengers."

Actually there's a logical reason for outfit be skintight, there's two types of spacesuits, the baggy kind which are actually extremely fragile, which judging location that they are in they would not be wearing them, and the stringy kind which is the latest model which is supposed to be extremely durable the thinner the fabric system setup is between the body will less likely you're going to have the student have a massive collapses, why do you think Worf didn't have a explosive deterrent pressuring when his suit was cut in first contact, it's because it was designed to actually minimize the explosive decompression and with space.

as for the subject of genetic manipulation removing the extraterrestrials, that is so stupid, I have to scratch my head from all over the planet! also I have forgotten several things I completely forgot that the Tesseract was the holiday, and I are second and that they were just on, a normal beach and not now holiday. Tesseract was some type of strange sex toys. but yeah, also I am no stranger to strange fetishes, but when your harem is filled with different girls and one of them is a lizard thingy, I'm going to question your taste in women! because usually I try giving mine you normally balance. Granted I find women more sexy when they kick ass so's that's just me.

And also I totally agree with you why destroy such cute and adorable cyber frogs!

    Great review, keep it up.

How could you not make a Thor and or Avengers joke when they said tesseract.

Also you should review Catwoman #0 I think that would be right up your alley. It would be an awesome episode. While we're on the subject of horrible New 52 stories.

I'm pretty sure you have mentioned Escher Girls before, and holy crap look at the frame where the giant shark fish jumps out of the water. Niles is in complete front view, with her breast showing her pointing straight forward and her head pointing 3/4's away, what the hell?

Oh…the future is bright as long as we have amazing David Bowie covers IN SPACE. Seriously though, that song always speaks to my soul, so it was pleasant to hear it at the beginning of the end credits.

SCI-Spy doesn't exactly warrant a soundtrack featuring Adele, now does it. -_- The James Bond ripoff aside, it is really boring. Techno-futuristic-semi metallic-pants tight crime stories don't seem to have that good of a track record on this show. Sadly, I haven't much to say in regards to it in general, other than you were spot-on, as usual.

Ah, and who doesn't rub a DVD case on themselves at least once in this day and age?? XD
  • jagarcia0705
Some people have complained that Linkara is ignoring the story line in his show. Consider this, it takes time to write new material for the story line & the long break gives Linkara more time to come up with new ideas. More importantly Linkara does have a life outside of internet reviews, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

I recently getting interested in Dr. Who, so I have some questions regarding the series. When ever The Doctor goes through a regeneration does he retain any memories from the previous regenerations? Who are The Daleks & The Cybermen? Who is your favorite Doctor? Personally my favorite Doctor is the Matt Smith version. I especially like the episodes from Series 6 2011, The Rebel Flesh & The Almost People. I like those episodes in particular because Dr. Who accidentally gets cloned & I like the interaction between the Doctor & his clone.
  • Galaxia  - Exposition Fairy to the Rescue!!!
    avatar
Well, as a fellow recent Whovian, I volunteer to answer your general Who-related queries. :D

Yes, the Doctor has mostly all memories of his past regenerations. In some cases, as with his regeneration from the seventh to the eighth, he may suffer some trauma related to however he happened to die and thus garner a nasty bit of amnesia, but that usually clears up. In the case of Matt Smith's Doctor, if he seems extremely forgetful at times, it's only because he's past 1100-1200 years old and once you reach that milestone, your memory starts to go on you.

Daleks and Cybermen are regular alien baddies that the Doctor faces off against. Daleks are a bunch of genetically altered creatures who are placed in those gigantic pepper pot contraptions and basically bred to hate and murder everything that isn't one of them. Cybermen are former humans who are converted into androids without feelings and who basically seek to assimilate all human beings to become part of their collective...so to speak. That's just the short of it.

As for the favorite Doctor of Linkara himself...I'm not sure, but I'd warrant a guess that it's Sylvester McCoy, judging from some of his past videos. Can't say for sure, but that's my best guess. :3

Barren crystal planet... I was honestly expecting a reference to the Doctor Who episode Midnight. Also I thought of at least three different plot twists at the ending within the first ten seconds of the guy saying 'the story about Earth blowing up is a lie', and any one of them would have been far better than the twist they went with. That's Sci Spy for you, eh?
You seriously have to wonder how this crap keeps getting published, when so many good storytellers can't seem to get off the ground. I weep for starving artists everywhere.
  • Rabnix  - God, this comic was stupid. Really, REALLY stupid.
Speaking of stupid (albeit extremely off topic), PLEASE review Man of Steel on AT4W before anyone else wastes their money on that piece of crap. I know it's not technically a "bad comic", but it was most *certainly* a "bad comic movie", and it deserves to BURN!!!! I'd even venture to say it was more insulting to the Superman franchise and its fans than "Batman and Robin" was to the Batman franchise.
  • Thunderbang

How about, no? Go and vent somewhere else, please. You shouldn't try to limit people's enjoyment over something that they might actually, you know, enjoy! That's just wrong man. It's your opinion, not fact, so kindly leave it at the door, or please just try not to shove it in our face like "Dude, you're stupid for seeing this movie!" That's the feeling I'm getting from reading your comment.

How much distilled stupid is in this series? Good night....

Great video and great review as always Linkara.
  • Shlecky
Because Genetically Engineered Life-Forms that look like aliens are SO unbelievable. I- hey, that spells "GELF"! I never noticed that before. Now if you don't mind, I need to go watch a triple bottomed Kinitawowi and his Polymorph.
  • Linkara
    avatar
Yeah, but that's the difference between a comedy and a series that's supposed to be taken seriously.

Also: GELFS are still not human. ^_~
  • Shlecky
I accept the Rule of Funny, but don't get your second point.

    "Alien" = "not human", true.
But "Cat" = "not human" & "Horse" = "not human"

    Therefore,
    "Not human" =/= "alien"

Actually, why am I complaining? My message has been heard by a show creator and responded to. That's, what, 5000 fanboy XP?

Also tangent: Apparently as we master genetic engineering, we're going to give ourselves bigger eyes and foreheads because they look more attractive. Can't remember the article link, though.
