Wow, that comic seems like something I woulda bought in my teenage years. Man, those hormones caused me to buy some stupid manga (Saber Marrionette J), although it did cause me to stumble upon some good ones (Chobits).
Super Stalin, that would of been cool. Defently woulda gotten quite a few nerds to join up with communism.

Kick ass, as usual! I'm still waiting for your 'worst comic ever' vid.
Oh, and speaking of Black And White (Though with a little colour in some instances), have you ever read anything by Jhonen Vasquez? While I hate the fact (he hates it too) that his stuff is being printed on Hot Topic shirts and accessories and being whored out to goths and emos (He is often called a king amongst gothic writers and he gets verrryyy angry when people make that analogy in front of him.) I absolutely love his work. SQUEE! is by far the funniest comic I have ever read. Johnny the Homicidal Maniac is fun, but it seems to balance from violent, cathartic fun and depressing psychological horror. Now I love that stuff, but I think Jhonen needed to elaborate more. He also wrote the 'I Feel Sick' 2 parter that was funnier than hell, the bad art collection, and Fillerbunny. If you have read any of his work, what do you think of it?

Man, its a shame your videos are out of order, but that's alright, it doesn't make "because illiteracy is kool!" any less funny!
Seriously though, what was UP with that art shift? Did they do the second half first and run out of time? (it looked to me like the second part used a more detailed and difficult art style, which is why I consider that a possibility) And the end just left so much to be desired, they really couldn't write a better place to leave off for the next issue? I gotta tell ya, that wouldn't make me want to subscribe, that's just poor writing, and does not bode well for the rest of the series.
Ah well, no one ever said independent had to mean good.
Another funny review! :)

The difference in style between the first part and the second is kinda easy to understand, once you realize that most of the female characters in the first part are redrawn from real life characters. That's how you get Mulder and Skully, the Baywatch cast members on the beach, and so on. Terra-Dawn, or whatever her name is, is blatantly pin-up queen Betty Page!
It explains a lot of the odd shots and poses of the characters as well. There's a school of bad comic art that just uses people posing in the real world, and traces over the images to get 'natural' character models. It's one of the laziest and worst bad art ideas to become popular these days, and it's generally the reason why so many female characters are always making 'sexy' poses, in that the artist is mainly drawing his reference materials for attractive females from lingerie models and porn.
