I think it was a good idea that you didn’t review the Marvel Superhero Island comic. I haven’t yet been to the Islands of Adventure part of Universal Orlando (I know, sad), but it DOES seem awesome, and the Hulk rollercoaster and Spider-Man 3D ride look really cool.
It’s a good idea that you decided to go back to the continuation to one of your earliest reviews since SCI Spy and “Superman: At Earth’s End.”
3:14- Next to the Bat-vehicles, AWESOMEST. SUPERHERO VEHICLE. EVAH!
9:25- This is like if Wolverine’s cage fight in the first X-Men film is incredibly lame. I say this because Wolvie used the head-butt as the finishing move to his last opponent, and his entire skeleton is covered in anomantium.
Midnight looks like she’s wearing Huntress’s early costume, but with a jacket, jeans, no cape, and her staff is replaced with a futuristic version of Indiana Jones’ whip.
13:30- It’s like Nostalgia Chick and Obscurus Lupa fighting over ToddInTheShadows, but instead of Todd, is a trucking superhero.
15:06- Linkara, wait, you’re picking up The Entity’s signal! DON’T LOSE IT!
15:11- NO YOU FOOL, YOU DOOMED US ALL!
I felt that Midnight would have defeated U.S. the same way Batman did with The Joker in the chase scene in “The Dark Knight” (semi vs. motorbike).
I also like comics that are Power Rangers kind of fun. Can wait to see what a Twilight Zone comic is like.
I still like that Six Million Dollar Man joke.

I heard that since Disney bought Marvel, Universal has to shut down their Marvel park because Disney wants to make one. so now the Marvel Theme park is gonna be one of the Disney World Parks. I also heard that with the extra space left over where the Marvel park used to be, Universal is gonna extend the Harry Potter section and just make that it's own entire park. but that's just a rumor I heard.

09.06.2011 - 18:55 | LHGI work for Disney (low level) and confirm this. We sell marvel toys and comics and stuff but the contract giving exclusive rights to theme park themeing will be held by universal at least until the contract runs out and everything gets discussed again. Even my comic book guy's wife works with that specific subject and said as much.

Ooooh a Twilight Zone comic book, this should be a fun and interesting review. :D
Linkara, how can you be blind to the strange things happening around you. People being missing, strange sounds, cryptic messages-LOOK AROUND YOU!!?!??! CAN'T YOU SEE IT!?!? CAN'T YOU SEE IT!?!?!
.......*deadpan* come to think of it this was the same guy who thought that Dr. Insano was a black woman.
T_T
So yeah, we are doomed aren't we?
Also I did some thought drifting of my own while reading this review, wouldn't it be funny if it turned out that US 1's brother was The Highwayman?
And my money is on Mary being Midnight, its always the person you least expect :D

09.06.2011 - 00:05 | Jai137So...who exactly was Midnight?
Also, are you saving the Entity showdown for Halloween? Cause I can only wait that long.
Still the comic wasn't that bad, especially considering most of the comics you've reviewed in the past few months. It's like a dumb 80's movie in comic form.

09.06.2011 - 01:31 | mehjaWhy is sexual abuse by women OK?
If a hot guy walks into a bar and without asking graps and kisses me, he'd get a very personal enactment of the Nutcracker.
If a hot chick walks into a bar and without asking graps a man and kisses him - he is suppose to count his blessings.
Because men are cerebrally challenged, all-time horny apes and just want it?

They did an experiment on that on a What Would You Do segment. Sadly, people did not feel it necessary to step up when they saw a woman abusing her boyfriend or a female tutor hitting on a twelve-year-old boy.
And when they had a man abusing a woman, the time it took for someone to confront the abuser was about a fourth of the time it took for someone to confront the woman abusing the man. One passerby actually sided with the woman!
Sorry to ramble, I just also have a problem with the double standard.

Generally speaking, men are stronger than women. It's just a fact. They have more muscles, more stamina, a higher pain threshold, etc. etc. because they were the hunters who had to travel all over the terrain looking for large beasties to kill with their bare hands, or spears, or sharpened rocks. That's how they evolved.
Therefore, it's a lot more likely that a man can fight off a woman who makes unwanted advances on him, than it is for a woman to fight off a man. So, if a guy really doesn't want a lady making out with him out of nowhere it's pretty easy to maneuver her away from him. If a woman has the same experience, it's much more of an ordeal.
There are exceptions, yes, but overall women = weaker than guys, so it's a lot scarier when a woman is attacked.
Also, in regard to the specific scene of the comic: it's implied that US1 and the Tanya character actually knew each other well enough that the kiss wasn't completely random, and she's just extremely bold in her advances, and had probably been making them for a while.

@singitjohnny I agree that males are usually stronger than females. But what good does it do them?
If I take a swing at a man that invades my personal space it would cause quite a different reaction than a man doing the exact same thing to a woman.
I know it is not a central issue in the comic - I am just a big fan of gender equality :)

My God, The Entity invaded the show! Which is surprising sense none of the villains invaded during the show but only after but I digress.
This was a pretty cool comic but for the character to be slightly renamed due to copyright later down the line-_- is just soooooo stupid...why is copyright lately being used as a double edged sword to screw EVEN CONTENT MAKERS!
But on a side note,I did pick up Justice League #1 of the New 52 and I must admit so far I am enjoying everything(and yes I know of the ending of Flashpoint and that the old Universe is Fine) the one thing I don't like is how were spoiled on Cyborgs new character design when he is still Victor Stone in issue one...that's my only minor complaint.

09.10.2011 - 19:10 | BluesTechnically they talked about their jobs first, establishing that the red head looks down on her. Then they established that the red head feels U.S is more attracted to the blonde whom the red head considers inferior.
The characterization is simple and it is to play up the hero while also making the midnight character either have a personal hang up with the hero or for the subversion that the dainty waitress will turn out to be the villain.
also note that the waitress didn't care and it was one sided on the red head's part. I think the question becomes would someone act like that realistically. I'd consider it unrealistic that someone would bash a person straight up like that and let out their grievances but that's just my experience.

I just got done re-watching all of your old reviews, so this is perfect timing! XD The last truck comic is still fresh in my mind. I didn't even realize it was the same guy in the Deadpool team-up that I read a while back!
Ahh, the CB radio-in-the-head bit.
(I totally picked up radio in my fillings once. No lie. Freaky as all get out!)
Also, "It's more than a piece." YIKES. These messages give me a squirmy cold feeling in my stomach, jeez. So creepy. D:
