02.01.2011 - 10:34 | CurttehmurtThe problem with that is that Vyse genuinely thinks he's already doing the right thing, to him he's already a savior of universes.
He conquers because he cares, a care bear stare would only make him care more, thus making things worse.

I'm not sure if you HAVE DVDs, but I'd buy one.

I grew up with Care Bears, it was my thing before I got into Power Rangers (which in turn lead me to becoming an otaku). They were often shown on reruns on the Disney Channel. They always "brainwashed" people by making them care using the Care Bear Stare. Now that I think about as an adult it's kind of creepy and sends a very confusing message to kids.
Well I have to have to say I loved the Mini-Mina joke.
Also I find it really funny that this review came out 6 days after the NC's review of the second movie. Funny!

care bears bike?... Lewis you should never admit this
ha the madballs are freaked out by the carebears... i don't blame them
if they're apart of the marvel universe then i demand a carebears vs. marvel zombies crossover
would you rather have a crappy character with a specific name or a crappy character who should be badass named "bob"
if the shadow is john smith and the ball is... does this mean... this comic is icky
noheart can grow giant size oh no call neutro

A Care Bears comic? Fuck yeah! This is the best idea since the Playstation Move!
I always felt that they should remake the Care Bears, but do it as a parody of itself. It would be the comedy feature of the decade.
(And that Playstation Move thing was a joke. Just like the hardware itself!)
(And that was a joke too.)

Awesome. I somehow remember watching the care bears and remember the madballs toys (though I thought you were older than me; maybe I just liked watching old shows as a kid?). But the care bears, whether in tv shows, movies, or comics, always makes me shake my head and ask, why? Also, is No-heart, stupidest villain ever, Darkheart's father or something? They both have similar intelligence it seems.
Good luck Linkara with your fight against Vyce (of which I eagerly await!)

The sad part is, those balls displayed more intelligence than most super heroes I can name who all seem to have a habit of beating the hell out of each other as a way to say "Nice to meet you." And yeah, all the villains had names like No Heart, his niece was named Skreechy, No Prize for guessing why. Then there was Professor Coldheart, his sidekick Frostbite, and his Auntie Freeze.

Wow. That intro scene was so …Oscar worthy. Man, I can’t wait to see how all of this is resolved. =D
I’ve also never saw the Care Bears series, but I DID see “Care Bears 2: A New Generation,” and thank God the Nostalgia Critic reviewed that thing to shreds.
7:20- The Care Bears see you when you’re asleep. …The Care Bears see you IN YOUR NIGHTMARES.
Nice job of the No-Heart bit.
10:33- I agree. The MadBalls and their puns make the Arnold Schwarzenegger/Mr. Freeze look like the Heath Ledger/Joker.
I really enjoy how you use the Star Trek music in your videos, Lewis. I'm looking forward to see your double feature episode 2 weeks from now.

As a troper, it's my place to do a little WMGing when possible, and I know how this comic came to be through other means:
1) The aforementioned Nostalgia Critic review of Care Bears II. Satan Sage wasn't pleased enough with his whole plan of using the Care Bears through the means of subliminal messages, and wants to cross the gap by using a comic book.
... Yeah that one doesn't really connect well, but it does involve Sage as Satan and the NC review. But the second one is much more reformed
2) Dr. Insano was behind the comic being on the show. He wants to get revenge on whoever stole Neutro and when he found out that you stole it, he made a deal with the devil and got a copy of the comic.
Again, those are just WMGs of mine, but who knows? I enjoy the review and... seriously, there's a COMIC SERIES ABOUT THE CARE BEARS?! I know that this is going to be bad... I never thought it will be THIS BAD!
And I love your taste in music. It's a CARE BEAR COUNTDOWN!! *starts music*

ok, you have to admit that just being written by the same guys who did a CHUCK NORRIS comic makes this more epic. I really hope Lord Vyce doesnt have internet up in space or else he probably knows you know his weakness. Then again, he may be wondering how you got such a high quality camera at these angles

Well, of course they had skull on their castle. You couldn't be an '80s cartoon villain unless you had a huge skull, snake, scary face, etc. plastered all over your hideout. It was the trend back then.
Also, there was only one Mega Man game released for the Genesis: The Wily Wars, which was a compliation of the first 3 games with some new content. Only released on the Sega Channel, though. It's available on the Virtual Console now, I believe.

I wish the villain of the comic book was interesting, I always wish though that the twist ending what he was really a care bear.
and congratulations it took you long enough to figure out how to win. After all he travels from other dimensions, this ship is out of sync with time and reality, wouldn't that imply to him as well, obviously the armor's the only thing that's keeping him around. And why don't you just get the dragon Power?

Anyone notice that they make a Goldilocks joke twice (once with Beastly, another with a Madball)? Geez, as if the horrible puns weren't enough to indicate that the writers just didn't give a f***.
Also, THAT'S what a Care Bear Stare does?? Jeez, throughout my childhood I just always thought it was some blast of energy made out of caring blah blah, but the fact that it's some sort of semi-mind control...Man, that's just wrong.
Well, that just adds to the list of reasons why Linkara prefers superhero comics: Proper morals! I mean, it's not like a superhero comic would have heroes that try to achieve victory through unethically altering the personalities of their villains in ridiculous, immoral, contrived manners. No superhero comic would be that stupid, right?
...Why do I suddenly feel an ominous shadow coming from the direction of DC?
(P.S. Unrelated note: How would one properly suggest a comic for you to review? I have some ideas, but I want to make sure they're presented right. ^^; )

I have a creeping suspicion the Care Bears may be slowly invading one of my favourite websites.
... If this happens, then 1) the report I made to the CIA in early 2001 WAS correct and hence what follows will be serial destruction of all earth's landmasses followed by brainwashing the surviving inhabitants in pink light before the ground opens up and Satan emerges with his 13 archdemons, bringing five thousand years of such death and destruction as has not been seen since George W. Bush was in power; and 2), Yes! I don't have to pay off my still exponentially climbing student loans!.
... Yes, I'd rather the Apocalypse over my student loans.
I am literally still going to be paying for them when I am 40 T_T
