Mark Wahlberg WAS a member of New Kids on the Block - just very briefly and apparently never officially recorded anything with them when he was with them.

I remember back in high school trying to sing an NKOTB song to impress a girl. Surprisingly it worked, but she had a boyfriend so nothing came of it. She's now married to her high school sweetheart. Goddammit NKOTB!!

But the real question: Was Marky Mark ever in the NKOTB cartoon? If not, it doesn't count.

I knew Donnie Wahlberg, Mark's brother, was in NKOTB, but I had no idea Marky Mark (which I will always call him until the day I die) was!
Good Lord, I remember my cousin's room being plastered with New Kids Posters all over it, leaving no piece of wall uncovered... AND MY COUSIN IS A DUDE. Guess that explains why he manages a Banana Republic now, huh?

Initially, Mark was part of the band, but was replaced by Jamie Kelly, who was then replaced by Joey MacIntyre.

That psycho reminds me of someone else...I'm not sure who- Wait! I've got it! Mr. Crocker from Fairly Odd Parents. The van, the technology they shouldn't have access to, the creepy obsessive personality? It's a perfect match!
And The New Kids On The Block? I never heard their music either.

One of my cousins was really into New Kids on the Block. I think my dad took her to one of the concerts once... though I might be wrong.
But I have to admit I laughed at the artist's alley joke.
God... I hate those types of fans...

My older sister and cousin used to LOVE these guys, but I never saw anything interesting about them. I want to say it's embarassingly odd for someone to make a comic about this, but after watching so many episodes of this show,I've learned to accept EVERYTHING as potential comic books.
I loved the review, and the rhyming was great! But who knew one comic could cause so much hate?

They complained the voice actors couldn't replicate their boston accents. After one season it was replaced in the ABC timeslot with MC Hammer's cartoon series!

It's always scary when studios and the like realize that a lot of money can be made by marketing to the hundreds upon hundreds of girls who'd likely kill someone just to get close to the thing they idolize. At least there is no Hannah Montana or Jonas Brothers comic. Rather, I hope there isn't...
All in all, that was amusing Linkara, nicely done with the rhyming.

I agree, "The White Stuff" is defiantly better then "The Right Stuff".

I loved your attitude in this one! Not that you should make it the norm (if you even know what I'm talking about), but it just really made me smile. Maybe it was the Christmas cheer; it's possible that there was less bite in your voice, as you mercilessly mocked the blatant stupidity, but without any genuine fury. I just thought it was nice for a change of pace. ^_^
Also, you're pretty good at rhyming! I know this was scripted, but still.

Joey in particular complained about all the idiotic products put out with their image and implied they didn't have much say about it. I especially loved his statment that there is something not right about seeing his face rolling in a marble! "When they put your face in a marble, that's when you know they've gone too far."
Also loved Donnie's comment about how this son first learned about the band from hearing them dissed in a rap. He said it went something like this:
"Weren't you in a group called the New Kids?
"Year"
"Why does he say the New Kids suck?"
"Because we did" LOL

Having grown up in Boston in the early 90s, I knew all too well who they were (in fact, I had the same middle school teachers as the Wahlbergs). Fandom was strictly for girls but since Greater Bostonians are a proud and loyal lot, we ALL knew their songs.

Well, a "tweeter" is actually a large speaker, which makes sense... About as much sense as anything in this comic made, anyway.
I would have to watch all previous reviews to be sure, but I think this comic it the absolute worst when it comes to writing. God, the jokes were so awful (and this is coming from a girl who really loves puns!) and every word from every character was moronic. I'm actually baffled as to how a human being actually wrote this thing.

I actually have a New Kids on the Block album from their heyday (Hangin' Tough), and I have to say that it was far more interesting than this comic!
Still, the review was awesome! Looking forward to the next video!

I remember NKotB; they & MC Hammer both had a cartoon series. I like the New Kid's music, but I was more fond of Beach Boys at the time. I think Hulk Hogan had his own cartoon too; how the mighty have fallen.
According to the Wiki, their group rebanned in 2008. I guess no one took notice.

God I actually remembered reading this comic. So much bad I didn't even know where to start.
Bland artowork,bland(and stupid)band,terrible overall.
Geez even if that girl was a super-fan to something good like Nirvana or ACDC I still wouldn't like her.Creepy.
