I had really hoped you would do an origin stories for Wonder Woman this month. And seeing as to she was even in the little sequence, I was under the impression that you were going to. Then again, seeing as to she started out as a nudist it may have been a bit difficult to show any panels without offending someone. However, I was looking forward to your opinion, seeing as to you are a feminist. Just thought I'd get that out there and still, great review. :D

Early Silver Age comics by Stan Lee were actually pretty hilarious in no small part because of his utter inability to write good female characters. Jean, Sue and Janet in particular did very little in the early days besides failing to do anything productive with their powers and making all the men around them horny.
Oh, and if I were a superhero, I’d be Cyclops. His power is maximum (I couldn’t resist).
By the way, I checked, and you definitely didn’t reuse the intro sequence from the last video, even not counting the TOTALLY NOT IMPORTANT bit with the morpher in the beginning of this one.

11.22.2010 - 22:34 | NecroMasterXHey linkara, I was considering getting back into comics soon. But, I haven't read many recent comics and are probably going to not understand a lot of major plot-points. re there any comics you recommend that are good and don't have a bunch of continuity I won't understand?

Before Secret Origins Month, I've already read Action Comics #1, Amazing Fantasy #15, and Detective Comics #27, but not The X-Men #1. Thanks for the help, Lewis. ;)
I thought the name X-Men came from Professor "X"avier
3:56- FRACK-UP ALERT!! It's actually yellow and BLUE.
The original look of Iceman looks like Bobby Drake should have been named Snowman.
9:04- ...I rest my case.
11:33- Xavier in the middle panel here looks like he's turning into Egghead from the old Batman series.
12:03- OF COURSE!!!
Baptisim of Fire. I think that's been shown at the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
At least the X-Men progressed over the years and are now movie stars.
Living Illusion does an awesome rendition of the X-Men theme.
If you do Secret Origins month again next year, here are some recomendations you might like to review:
The Incredible Hulk #1
DC Showcase #4 (Barry Allen/Flash)
Tales of Suspense #39 (Iron Man)
DC Showcase #22 (Hal Jordon/Green Lantern)

One thing I got instantly...
"These missles will lock onto your body heat! Especially you Ice man!"
Yeah, seeing a little problem in your plan, Magneto.
In general, I'm really iffy about who we're supposed to be rooting for until the end, like, was it just a tale of how rejected people get messed up? Or is it really super heroes? What will become of Xavier's School for Tomorrow's Sex Offenders? I can see why this was saved for last...it's just....wrong.
Good month Linkara, and you better do it next year! We loves it! We needs it!

11.23.2010 - 01:22 | SheikYeah, that didn't add up very well, unless Iceman some how keeps normal body heat and....eeehhhh, no, head hurts >.

humans are mostly water, and as a dipole molecule water can be affected by magnetic fields, therefore is Magneto tries hard enough he CAN in fact use his magnetic powers to throw people around...or he could just rip the hemoglobin out of our blood cells and kill us horribly.
But WOW...this comic almost reads like a Michal Bay movie, Megan Fox can be Gene Gray and Shea Lebeue or however the hell you spell his name would probably be iceman.

Not to sound like a jerk or anything but you can't just let the Gold Ranger Morpher that you were working on slip us by. You know that there are going to be more bungholes asking about that so might as well come clean now. By the way, not doing more secret origins for this month, while I understand why it's just... ugh.

Damn, I wanted you to review the origin of Wonder Woman. Or have you done that Linkara and I just haven't found it yet?
-
11.23.2010 - 20:54 | KariThat would be a good one. He did kind of go into it a bit in the Amazons Attack prologue, though.

Yeah, I was hoping for Wonder Woman myself =( Ah well, maybe next year.
As for the X-men, they are hands down my favourite super-powered group and probably always will be (even in spite of the atrocity that the movies committed upon them). Seeing where they started out is a joy, even if it does include some very weird behaviour from the illustrious Professor X, and Jean Grey being more useless than usual.
