We both have a reason to celebrate this day because today's also my birthday. I know it sounds pathetic, but that wild coincidence really makes this day extra special to me.
Also, awwwww... cyberspace isn't an alternate world full of digital monsters? What a let-down.

10.26.2010 - 06:33 | JunkWatcherI say, congratulations to the both of ya ;).
Great episode, Linkara. "The Greatest Responsibility" is the only American comic-series I've ever owned and now I see that it's no wonder I didn't understand one bit of what the hell was going on :P.

And every time he gets better, he usually comes back stronger than before, as it should be.
Seriously though, happy 2nd anniversary Linkara. It's cool to see that things have been going for this long and will continue as such. I know I'm all the happier for it, at least.
Ahhh, the Clone Saga. There really isn't much to say about it that hasn't already been said, so I'm not going to get into it. It's good to see this one isn't too bad. They must have at least partially wised up by this point to accomplish that.
Just a question, are you ever planning to take on the ending to the Clone Saga, Linkara? It would seem appropriate, but of course, you may not want to for one reason or another.

How did you miss that?
It's around the 7:30 mark if anyone is curious.
For anyone that may not know why that's wrong. There's no such thing as an unconscious because it is a state of losing consciousness.
What should have been there was the word subconscious
Besides that: 5 star review (well 4.99999 stars).

10.26.2010 - 04:25 | PLAIt conforms to standard english word formation, plus it has precedent.
While I don't trust Freud on every point, I think he got this bit right: "If someone talks of subconsciousness, I cannot tell whether he means the term topographically – to indicate something lying in the mind beneath consciousness – or qualitatively – to indicate another consciousness, a subterranean one, as it were. He is probably not clear about any of it. The only trustworthy antithesis is between conscious and unconscious."
Neurology also generally describes non-conscious processes as unconscious.

Happy 2 years, Lewis. Here's to another 2+ years.
I just hope the upcoming Spider-Man reboot film won't be based on anything in the Clone Saga.
I wondered if you were gonna make a new intro for you show sooner or later because:
A. You're at a new place, and
B. It's the start of your 3rd year making videos.
Also, I have a copy of "Batman: Hush Returns," mostly because I love "Hush."
I love the love story of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. I can totally relate to them. ...WHY DOES "ONE MORE DAY" EXIST AGAIN!?"
The female Doc Ock wants to, you guest it, take over the virtual world.
M. Bison: OF COURSE!
12:58- I wondered if you were gonna make a Virtual Boy joke. Good thing AVGN came around to tell us how much that sucked.
14:26- Well, with Batman, there's Detective Comics and "Batman," and with Superman, there's Action Comics, "Superman," and The Man of Steel.
18:56- No mention of a tie-in comic. So, I guess it's because of lazy-@$$ writing. =)
Ben Reily is the Spidey we see in the DC vs. Marvel mini-series.
Yeah, I also remember VR Troopers. ...I hated that show. Mostly because I felt like Saban was making it feel like Power Rangers, even when it obviously wasn't. Thank God it only lasted a year.
Can't wait for the stuff you have planned for November. ;)

10.25.2010 - 23:27 | DanMan2 years Linky? You've been through a lot these two years.
I haven't seen you say that a comic doesn't much suck.
Secret Origins? Maybe... nah...

Hm. Guess you don't read much chick lit, Linkara. Women are constantly complaining that they can't find maternity wear that doesn't make them look like wallpaper. When you spend the better part of a year watching your body get more and more out of control, you start missing the days when you could delight in your appearance. Besides, bland and frilly maternity clothes are incredibly boring, and pregnant women often resent losing the ability to choose what they wear.
...of course there's a lot more to this review than that one bit about MJ modeling pregger-wear, so I'll shut up now.

Another great review! It was actually watching the reviews that got me interested in actually reading the good ones for myself, and have been willing to give characters a chance that I would've rolled my eyes at even months ago.
I hope you keep it up for a long time to come. I'll definitely keep up with your videos as long as you do. :)

PS: Come back to Michigan next year? ^^ I know Detroit is scary, but damn did we love having you here in '09!!

10.26.2010 - 01:05 | JohniBoiHonestly, I've allways felt the 90s get a bad rap. I mean yeah some of it was bad, but at least it was better then the silver age. The 90s gave us Hellboy and sandman. The silver age gave us Jimmy Olsen marrying an ape and Superman shoting a tiny verson of himself out of rainbows in his hands.

I actually liked the ending to the Clone Saga, as it gave us back the real Spider-Man while letting Ben Reilly have a heroic death (maybe a little wasteful, but could've been worse) and bringing back the Green goddamn Goblin, arguably the greatest Spider-Man villain of all time (I personally prefer Venom, but still...).
I also want to point out what I like about the female Doctor Octopus that I didn't actually know until today: She actually realized that her entire body is one big, glaring, non-superhuman weak point, and so she made something to, you know, PROTECT HERSELF. Honestly, I could never quite take the real Doctor Octopus seriously knowing he gets into "fist"fights with a guy who could take him down with one lucky tap.
Finally, I think most writers on the franchise (or at least a decent percentage) know to make Spidey smart, and to balance that with his strength and speed. After all, it's still satisfying to see him just beat down a villain when the occasion calls for it.
I know this went on long, but those were the points I wanted to make, and if you're still reading this, you're very patient.

10.26.2010 - 01:13 | TBTabbyThis is why Linkara won't review One More Day: he doesn't need to. It's just going to keep popping up. It's an albatross around Spider-Man's neck, and it's going to remain until Quesada either gets off his high horse and undoes the retcon, or is replaced by someone who will.
