No!! That can't be! If the shades have the Power Rangers on their side ... :0
All is lost :(
Seriously though, a nice review Linkara. This one made me laugh more than usual, which is always a good thing. My favorite parts were probably Dan Green's cameo, the Ninja Style Dancer, and the Cube's revenge.
By the way, would you say that two-page spreads you have to turn on the side are your biggest pet peeve with comics in general? If so, this must have been really painful for you. I'm pretty sure this one has the most out of any comic you have reviewed so far.

I am so happy to have my good ol' AT4W back, that I have written a Haiku to celebrate it.
Linkara missing :0
Depression was taking root :(
Now I want to live! :woohoo:
And somebody commented on a Spoony review recently that Spoony's theme song is the best one on Channel Awesome.
NO F-ING WAY
Linkara's theme song is easily the best. Some days, it is in my head and I have no choice but to make its lyrics my Facebook status, much to the confusion of most of my FB Friends.
Except for KingGramJohnson. He knows what's up.

07.12.2010 - 21:14 | WackdOkay, so according to the list on the TGWTG wiki, this is #90. The next episodes are as follows:
91) 7/19 – The California Raisins 3-D #2
92) 7/26 – Hardcore Station #1
93) 8/2 – The Others #1
94) 8/9 –PSA Hell: The Amazing Spider-Man: Skating on Thin Ice #1
95) 8/16 –Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force
96) 8/23 – Action Comics #592
97) 8/30 – Action Comics #593
98.) 9/6 – Top 15 Comics I’ll Never Review
99) 9/13 – 100th Episode
I'm confused. Does the list have a proper episode listed as a special? Is this intentional? Is one number listed twice in the list of aired episodes? Or did you just miscount?

This was the 91st episode. I accidentally forgot to number Freak Force, so I had been quoting the numbers wrong when I kept saying them.
EDIT: Just double-checked the wiki and talked to Cferra - the Top 15 Missed Opportunities was labeled as a special, but it's an episode. So, yeah, otherwise everything's good. ^^

07.12.2010 - 21:17 | WackdOh, and great comeback episode BTW. It had me in stitches. Sorry if this is coming off as an afterthought, but the #100th episode thing had me kind of miffed. I can't wait to see what you've planned, though; it's sure to be awesome.

Simply put.... :silly: and :D with a dash of ;) pretty well explains this episode.
Though I have to say....as an ardent stargate fan, you missed a perfect joke at the beginning with the Egypt reference.
Maybe you're just not an SG-1 follower. It's alright. Even though it's better than Star Wars, I forgive you.
*prepares for massive thumbs down for dissing Star Wars*

Lol. Your world sounds fuuuunnnnnn :silly:
Naw, but really, it is simply a personal preference. Star Wars is "meh" to me. Stargate is :woohoo: :cheer: :!: and  to me.
I cannot explain it beyond referencing the episode "Lifeboat" to show how kick A$$ that series can get.
Still, much respect to anyone who can find the good in star wars. That person is obviously more intelligent than I. (no sarcasm)

07.12.2010 - 21:44 | bes89I recently started watching your videos and just finished watching all of them yesterday. Even for someone who doesn't really read comics like me, I still find your reviews very entertaining and funny.
Since I noticed you actually respond to your comments, I wanted to ask something: I remember you said you didn't review manga yet because you hadn't found one bad enough. This got me curious - do you read manga frequently and if so what are some of your favorites?
Anyway, keep up the good work! :cheer:

07.12.2010 - 22:03 | spiderdude1So, Linkara, do you think that Vise or however you spell this new evil dudes name has access to an alternate version of the Zeo crystal except that its, you know evil?
-
07.12.2010 - 22:04 | KariShouldn't Pyramidhead be in a poke-ball, or is this ANOTHER one from the comic that had too many of them? (seriously, somehow I want to blame the Jackal for that.)
Oh, and I think I can actually explain the cloak draping. I suspect the artist didn't have to draw several semesters worth of really boring still life, learning how fabric falls, in excruciating detail (augh, flashbacks). It's like the spikes on the shoulders are meant to be holding it up- only no cloth works like that except plaster-gauze.
I HAVE seen the two page spread work. In the Doll's House from Sandman- a dream sequence is put on its side, allowing two things- an implied separation from the real world, and the Dreaming wound up looking more lofty than it otherwise could have. The rest of the series uses the technique sparingly, and generally to decent effect, so it never bugged me.
My comics pet peeve is similar, though. I hate it when you can't quite tell right away how you're supposed to read something. At least the flippy-pages are clear. I've got some books where it's a two page horizontal spread, only the panels are laid out like it ISN'T so you read the whole thing, realize the dialog made no damn sense, and THEN figure it out. Powers is a repeat offender on that one. (One of those titles that annoys me so much I can't believe I still read it but I do.) Then there's Kabuki. Wonderful series, but trying a little too hard to be avante garde sometimes. The title has often had pages you had to spin around in circles to read, and I had to use a very strong magnification tool, still failing to read large chunks of the thing. If you've ever had to draw a page with reading instructions, you're doing something wrong.

Thank you, good sir. Finally have the numbering correct and looking spiffy. Thanks for the help. Now, it should never need to be fixed again!!!
I should say something about the comic. Oh, Cable...you are one comic character who has definitely changed over the years. From humble beginnings as a 90s character to new age guru. Between him and Bishop, I don't know which X-Man's history was more confusing. And then there's Rachel...
Anyway, the friendly neighborhood wiki be fixed, everyone. =D
