04.05.2010 - 21:08 | archonambroseusAt first I thought this was a review of an X-Men comic and a Star Trek comic. I'm so glad I was wrong :D

There was a Star Trek/X-Men novel too, but I think that was the Next Generation crew. I never read it. I love Star Trek, and I love X-Men...but together, come on! Really?! Ugggg.... Great review by the way. I very much enjoyed this one. And awesome reference to Trelane! His names doesn't get thrown out enough. Nothing like the precursor to the Q Continuum to mess things up. This comic would have been better if it WAS about Trelane!

The TNG/X-Men books were actually pretty good. Still a kinda silly concept, but they managed to make it sound plausible, and from what I remember (it's been a few years since I read them) the story was pretty solid.
Interestingly, I'm told the books were actually a sequel to a TNG/X-Men comic.
I wonder if Linkaras' heard of them.

The novel you speak of is called Star Trek/X-Men: Planet X. Its a sequel to another crossover comic between the TNG crew and the X-Men called Second Contact. I haven't read the comic but the novel is ok. It took me some time to comprehend Star Trek and X-Men together in the same book.

nice summation of that episode.
in reference to your hatred of that spoiler page: i have a feeling you wouldn't like "columbo." a show that reveals the murderer/criminal right from the get-go and proceeds to show how peter falk ingeniously figures it out ("just one more thing...").
WHOA! bishop! hello, muscles! last time i saw biceps like that was...the commercials for minneapolis's guthrie theatre's production of "macbeth." srsly. macbeth was RIPPED.
pollo is adorable.

1. Its more like a Twilight manga than comic really but yes it does exist.
2. What Pedophilia? a 17 year old vamp played by a 20something year old douche with the personality of a 100 year old grampa does not for pedophilia make.
3. Physically impossible to read AND be illiterate, regardless of your opinion of the quality of the work. Just getting that out there.

Someone really should have put a spoiler warning on that expository page. Or, you know, left it out completely.
And I see someone already beat me to mentioning the Star Trek/X-Men novel. If I recall, there was some kind of planet of mutants? I dunno, I only read the back, decided it was the stuff of bad fanfiction, and put it back on the shelf.
