A Silent Hill comic thats actually good. Never thought I see that. Good review.

Nice to see the occasional review that doesn't leave Linakara in a bloodlust after all is said and done. And after seeing the horrendous art style of the previous Silent Hill comic, the background issue of this one doesn't bug me as much. Definitely have to look this one up!
P.S: Is there a Dune comic out there you could do a review on? Have a feeling there would be plenty of "spicey" puns to go around. The spice must flow!

This comic is like a can of air freshener after someone took a nasty dump

I really want to comment on Linkara's review (fine as usual) but I can't seem to get over those ads.. are they making them this irritating on purpose? The mannequin one was awful enough but "who broke the copier copier copier" rises to whole new levels of irritation I wasn't even aware that existed.
Talk about ruining the mood for a good review a lot of hard work went into...

A good Silent Hill comic and no annoying evil ghostly kid named Christabella? Yayz
!

Well at least for you Linkara these Sandstorms don't incite any "Deep Hurting" do they?

You omitted two things from an otherwise great review (and thanks for skipping spoilers):
1) Jack looks like Max Payne from that game's cutscenes.
2) A Silent Dune movie would be the most amazing thing possible. If you got Bruce Campbell to play Prince Atreyu (correct me, internet, I dare you)and Patrick Stewart to reprise his roll as the ayatollah of rockanrolla, then the resultant film would end all life on Jupiter. Fuck Jupiter. It knows what it did...

I WILL correct, you......It's Atreides!!
I know, I know----
NEEEEEEERRRRRRRDDD!!!!

Shwee-Shwee, I'm glad you nerded out so I didn't have to. I had such an urge to correct the Atreides/Atreyu thing that I had to leave the room.

'Cuse me, while I kiss the sky. Oh, how I love Hendrix references.
Yay! A comic that Linkara actually likes!

Thanks for the recommendation.
Though this review wasn't too different from the others... you seemed to bash it a lot especially in the beginning.
"but of course the mob is right on their heels."
"and yes they do make a play on the whole 'jack and jill went up so silent hill' thing."
"well towards Silent Hill of course!"
The backgrounds, the ending.I'm also surprised at how you didn't talk about the cover at all! Why not? Because it's hard to recommend a comic after trashing the cover?

It's good to see you finally not smashing the comic behind you but carefully put it aside
However, this comic seems pretty interesting and it gives kinda of the same feeling the game does when in a level a building turns into hell.
Also, is it me, or do the characters look like they were made with computer graphics? It's a cool effect!!
Happy Halloween Special!

Well, it's about time you made a review about a comic you thought was good. Maybe you should do more of them, it just might save you your sanity!

Hahaha! I wasn't expecting the Wormsign quote at the end there. I was anticipating the more obvious penis-monster joke, nice one.

I am going to check out this comic, I love Silent Hill and as I said before, I'm interested in seeing a comic adaptation done right.

"
1) Jack looks like Max Payne from that game's cutscenes."Oh, thank you. I'm not the only one who thought that. I was just waiting for the film noir narration to kick in. Good review, too. I might have to check this out.

Yeah, I agree, Jack looks a lot like Max Payne. First thing I thought of when I saw him. My guess is that he wandered into the wrong comic. He should have been in the Brides 22 comic, and one-man army-ed that pathetic mobster out of existence.

So it seems Linkara wanted a late night double feature. But it could of somehow been a crossover. Maybe Dr. Insano will make a creature? I could see Spoony as Janet.. Sorry, couldn't resist some Rocky Picture Horror Show for a Halloween Special. Great job, Linkara, on hunting down a rare good SH series.

"The only something I know", "The something I was born for"... where's the "THIS! IS! SPARTAA!"-scene
!Other than this monologue and the background, this SH comic is finally drawn nicely: characters look like they've been rotoscoped from actual game cutscenes, and the monsters now actually look scary! And it doesn't have any of those annoying characters from last time! Yay!
Thanks for showing us that there's always light at the end of the tunnel

I really think they should make a game out of this one, if not a full cd game then one on PSN or Xbox live, It's an awesome story and I can imagine it being a game.

Lewis, thank you thank you THANK YOU for not making a chauvinist crack about women taking showers together. That right there just about made my day.

I fully intend on tracking this down sometime. It looks quite interesting.
And the "wormsign" joke at the very end made me laugh a bit too loudly. XD

Silent Hill as written by Frank Herbert?
Also: "Why did we need scenes of Jill naked?"
Query not why, but rather, why not!
... Sorry.

THE SLEEPER HAS AWAKENED!
Every Dune reference I see, I revive a little more inside.
I like to hear about good comics. Don't get me wrong, I love to hear the bad comics too, but hearing your recommendations is refreshing. I'd love to get into comics, but I feel so overwhelmed that I don't know where to start.

You've created a time paradox...
Anyway I heard from someone that there exists a chuck norris comic book...it's probably a joke but I guess I am mildly interested in it so... if you can find one then could you please review it, and if possible ask the guys that made your theme song to make a special one like
Chuck Norris!
He is the man,
roundhouse kick,
wears a cowboy hat
Chuck Norris!
He is the man
no guns
his degree is to kick ass
Chuck Norris!
He fights
Thugs
Ninjas
Legends
and Gods
Chuck Norris!
He doesn't suck
