WOOT! You rawk, Linkara, that opening is freaking epic!! :D  :D
I love the Silent Hill franchise and I'm so glad you're reviewing the comics. The art styles in this comic completely suck! I'm sorry, but neither of those artists are any good, at least for comics...maybe graphic novels of a sort, but definitely not for SH, that's for sure. And the story...WTF??? I don't understand one flim-flammin' thing that's supposed to be going on! And that chick's sub-(main?)plot isn't Silent Hill, it's more Blair Witch!
What the hell were they thinking?!?!?! :0
Awesome review, tho, Link, can't wait for the final issue! I'm so stoked! :woohoo:

The whole beginning was a love letter to SH2, definitely the best in the series. The music was great.
The song in the beginning's called Laura's Theme, in case anyone is wondering.
oh yeah, and I love the character references.
90's kid = Maria
Harvey Finevoice = Eddie
Poyo = Laura
And the ninja was a SH: The Movie reference? Weak...

rofl, the intro was like a giant fan letter to Silent Hill 2. That was awesome, Linkara.
Sadly, the comic itself was not as epic as the intro. The artwork, my lord the artwork is slightly better then volumes one and two but now it's ten times confusing. The story line just went straight to hell and back. I mean the big revelation of Christabella and Lauren being sisters was way too late. But then again, after the second volume the story does cut to Lauren. So far these comics are a giant insult to the Silent Hill series.
I only hope that the fifth and final volume doesn't end on an extremely stupid and random note. Like it turns out the whole thing was a dream.

God o-mighty how can you put up with series. It is a disgrace to the series; I should know too cause it is the only series that had one of it's game made me s**t myself. Yes I am not joking on that. These...things just make me yawn and laugh at the sad attempt. You're a brave man to review these comic books.

10.13.2009 - 00:17 | RubixHow would I like it if you opened every review with an extreme close up? Yes please. XD
I actually liked the bright and arbitrary colors in the comic. It doesn’t look like typical comic style...it’s almost like a scaled-down series of semi-abstract paintings.
At any rate, I loved the review, and can’t wait for the mind-numbing conclusion!

Oh and great review too, as always.

I only played the first and second silent hill games, and I loved them. I cant believe that they would make such a creepy, dark, and well developed set of stories into a stupid, and uninteresting tale that stars a smart ass five year old. Dear lord the art is horrible, usually i never judge artists because i'm a horrible drawer myself, but my eyes hurt when i looked at the panels you showed in the video. Oh and great review by the way, I cant wait for the next video.

10.13.2009 - 00:27 | mexicanwaluigiwoot, better than last week! uh yeah i get your intro now, confusing random bits, and mindless chatter, but somehow easier to follow than these comics. At first I was like uh that intro was weird, then i was like oh its like the comic. hehe, uh yeah, took me a while. :)

I said it before on the other review, but I think that I am still liking the random styles of art. As for the bad editing, I am not a fan.
Stylistically I like that these veer from the norm, and to create all those layers of paint would take a lot more time than pen and ink.
Again it's probably just because I am about to get my degree in art that I feel bad for the people getting torn apart because they were trying to do something different.
Other than that, your reviews made me really want to play the Silent Hill games. I bought my sister Homecoming for her birthday, and we played the beginning together, but she gave up and I am not home to see it. They sound so deep...I really want to play it. What are the other systems that they are on?
Thanks again for these reviews. They really make my day.

But I did notice your correction at around 18:42 where you had to edit Laurens name in. XD
No worries, I seem to be the first to notice.

10.13.2009 - 00:38 | tiggerpetethat was a very random crazy opening, I almost thought I actually missed something because it wasn't "Previously on AT4W!"
bodies everywhere, My God, Countdown, NOOOOOO!
"He thinks the world should be run by evil clowns.........What!?"
is there another comic so random in its art outside of Silver Age? at least Silver Age comics had narration to let you know what is happening
is there any continuity throughout the mini series? I mean there is no consistency with who is where and why.
I have never colored or drawn a comic before, but I think I could do a better job of it than this.
National Evil Clown Party FTW!

10.13.2009 - 00:47 | seanHey Linkara did you dislike Arkham Asylum's art work as well? I can't quite tell exactly how bad this comics art work is but it does seem like a similar style.

What the f... this isn't Silent Hill, Dying inside...this is Shinanigans, Dying of laughter.
I mean wow these stories are downright ridiculous and crazy, 3&4 were just plain insane.
I really enjoyed this review, I like how you began it like Silent Hill 2 and as always the 90s kid cracks me up, thanks. :)
-
10.14.2009 - 08:57 | ActranserAadi Salman has done better comics in the past but being an artist for this POS,that...cannot be a good sign.
On a positive note, you actually can't be bashed for such a lucrative overview of a mindfuckery of a read;Out of the many Silent Hill comics out there, only maybe 2 or 3 of them are actually worth a look!
And what the hell is up with the badly colored pictures? It looks like the Cult kidnapped a bunch of "Creepy Kids",tied them to a chair, forced them to munch a bunch of moths while they used a shit load of blunt ass markers just to scribble all over the page and BAM! There's your comic!

10.13.2009 - 01:32 | TBTabbyAchy Breaky Heart is the perfect song to listen to in Silent Hill. After that, getting dismembered by hellish monsters will be downright pleasant.
