It's always good to see a new Linkara video up, mostly because I'm a comic book nerd, and it's good to see a kindred spirit. You've kinda proven via the internet that just because someone isn't a kid/teenager, doesn't mean the can't be a fan of comic books.

That's a terrible premise for a comic. I agree that water would have been more effective. Also, the Revolution Of The Mask commercial at the end was pretty clever.

Speaking of good toy-based comics at the end of the review, there have been a lot of great Transformers comics from the mid-80's up to today by a writer named Simon Furman. I recommend his work to anyone who wants an epic and/or gritty Transformers story.

Seriously, how can they overlook the plot hole where you have people walking around without breathers in an airless environment?
What questions did the comic answer in the second read through anyway?

Another reason why they never planted trees or anything and there are a few panels where indeed Rokk has a faceplate... but in similarly-angled shots he doesn't have one.
Oh, and it turns out they're "Air Credits." I'm serious.

All the air things were just so ridiculous that it made me laugh just from the concept. No matter how stupid they could have at least made some names with more variety. Like OTHER airborne things even (they'd be stupid too, but better than seeing "AIR" everywhere), such as oxygen and the like instead of just AIR.
I'd so buy Food Raiders.
And nice job to the writers for revealing a potential plot twist in the first issue!

Right down to the catchphrase-riddled dialogue, brain-dead evil henchmen, and intense firefights where nobody is ever killed or even seriously injured. All that's missing is the tacked-on moral at the end.

I'd also recommend Larry Hama's run on GI Joe. It's got a deep plot, interesting characters who don't appear anywhere else, and they're not afraid to have characters bite the dust every once in a while. (Yeah, killing characters off for cheap shock value is annoying, but two sides shooting at each other and never scoring a single kill isn't so hot either.)

Airlandia what a stupid name. Liked the Space Balls reference. That movie was better then this comic by far. Good review keep it up.
