Oh you had no idea how much I hated this song. ANI-MAY! Death Note? It was just a clusterfuck of "The hell?!"
Nice toddintheshadows cameo. I honestly have no idea what to comment about this song, it makes Soulja sounds like the biggest weeaboo in the world and makes me ashamed to like Death Note. It's a really bad song but I think "Bitch I look like Goku" is worse.

T_T Gawd...This is all I can say. T_T He just...doesn't GET it does he? This really is what happens when you give an excited twelve year old who writes self-insert fanfiction a record contract. Many who include those references don't care about accuracy. They just include it to get people who know about the reference to watch it. It's something that's happened for as long as I can remember, and will most definitely keep happening. -_-
Anyway, this song is just beyond awful. Repeating the word anime a good song does not make Soulja Boy and it's kind of sad that the phrase I just wrote makes more sense than most of the song.
It's nice to see another video from you Y. I just wish it didn't have to involve this song. Now then, I have to go listen to somethign related to anime that's awesome.

He mentions Swag (or Swagger to anyone who plays Pokemon)and as any PokeNerd knows the move Swagger will enrage the opponent, raising their Att by 2 stages but confusing the opponent as well and what do you feel listening to the song ENRAGED and CONFUSED. Also note "Souja vs the World. What I think he's planning is Global Domination. His plan is to enrage as many people with this song and when they're grouped together (say an Anime Convention) he'll use Psych Up and take all those +2 Att bonus then he'll have super high Att and he'll take over the world.

Y'know, There is actually are a bunch of other people in hip hop that are hip hop fans, such as the kanye west, Lupe Fiasco, and the RZA (he did the music for afro samurai). I'd ratheer have one of them be the face of anime fans than fuckin soulja boy.
Why couldnt a real rap lyricist do this concept. Some can make like an anime version of what the GZA did in the song "Labels" and "Fame." In the hands of a good rapper, you might make somethin at least decent with a bunch of anime titles

the songs i reviewed by him did suck, but that song is just a new level. What's sad is that he's trying to make a bunch of references to a subject and tie them into a coherent song, something that the Genius has been doing for years with songs like "Labels" and "0% Finance". All I can think about is how he could have done this better. Shoot, I could have done this better! If you're a good rapper, a topic like this should be a piece of cake, and you wouldn't have to throw the word "anime" around every 4.75 seconds!

It always annoys me when people start talking about how big of an anime fan they are when they only ever watch the mainstream stuff like Naruto and Death Note. (Not that there's anything wrong with the shows, you're just not a very big fan if it's all you watch) So needless to say this song made me want to kill myself.
Still you have to give him credit for pronouncing anime right. That honestly surprised me.
