Long shot, but is it possibly Doug's 50 impressions in 50 seconds? This has a similar tempo.
I'm really enjoying your stuff, Y. I'm not particularly into anime or manga, but your videos are still really entertaining and make me want to look into these things further.

While I'm more of a shoujo/josei manga kinda girl, this video premise should be a series!

Y Ruler that was epic, at least it was for me see as we have similar thoughts about those manga that you reviewed, except deathnote. Not really a fan. I recommend Shaman King and Air Gear for your next Reaction Show. Those are two manga and animes that I am a huge fan of and was greatly disapointed when the animes were not continued.

Great characters and humor and not just mindless fights all the time like most other shonen tend to do after about 200 chapters. I mean who cares about the minor characters just forget about them.

Nobody who's actually read One Piece could see it as childish. Having watched/read all five of the animes/mangas he talked about, I can say that I agree completely with his opinion.

Don't agree with you on everything, but that was pretty awesome. Although after watching the English dub on One Piece I can't seem to get into the Japanese.

I hate that series and I do not understand why so many people pretend that it makes things better than for example Naruto. They both make similiar mistakes, but I prefer Naruto because the character and the artwork are more appealing to me.
But well, imo none of them holds a candle to "Soul Eater". :P

I'll give you the artwork which has gone from zero to hero in the course of the series but One Piece is definitely king when it comes to characters. Naruto had appealing characters once but they're all but forgotten now. Even if they appear they don't get to fight they only get to act as cheerleaders.

Not fully in agreement wwith you on the Naruto thing(though I do think Sasuke should be dead and forgotten by now), but iverall I thoughrally enjoyed this video. Great work.
Btw, check out the new FullMetal Alchemist Series. It follows the manga exactly(minus the first ep which is more a re-indroduction to the series, and pretty damn awesome).

good show. a little hard on Death Note, and nothing's gonna sell me on shonen in general, but it was still entertaining and informative. i woulda liked a mention of Soul Eater, since it's the only shonen anime i like (i don't consider Death Note shonen, whether or not it technically is), but i fully understand why it's not among these other series

Overall this was great (though I have a slightly less positive view of One Pice than you do), but I do have a nitpick: The making fun of the "believe it!" from Naruto. First, they stopped with that ages ago because they realized everyone hated it, and secondly, let's face it, by now making fun of it goes beyond beating a dead horse. But I guess you had to make some kind of joke there...
