07.20.2008 - 23:28 | torgospizzaI have to say that this was a good list. though I have to disagree with you on the first Death Note opening theme, which I thought was good. What I liked about it was the symbolism in how Light was inserted into various religous themed art, symbolizing his goal of becoming a god.
Anyway, I look forward to what your next video is.
Actually I have a suggestion for an anime OVA that you can review Nostalgia Critic style. Garzey's Wing, considered by all who have seen it to be one of the worst anime OVAs to ever be released. Just read this review and mopre importantly watch the video that accompanies it to see scenes from this thing:

Very nice! Now you should do top eleven closings, or maybe worst openings? Ha ha ah... uhm. Yeah, keep it up! I'm excited to see more stuff from you! Oh, I just thought of another, top eleven rpg cut-scenes! And it would have to have at least half of them be from final fantasy games though. However, there is also the awesome Wild Arms 4 opening, but I can't think of any others right now.

07.21.2008 - 11:24 | fettsvett201where's the first opening to FMA?! That song gripped me by the balls man. Also the closing song of FLCL.

Great video, but awww no One Peice? I don't watch many amine but I've been addicted to One peice for a while, and I think the openings are pretty dang good(especially the Water 7 arc opening)! No harsheties though.
But I do hope you do a video about One peice, it's just really fun and has great art design, and it's surprisingly emotional at parts, I swear, I cried at the end of the Enies Lobby arc!(You know what I'm talking about.)

@ fettsvett201: I would have put FLCL in there, I really would have! One problem though: It's an ENDING Animation, And list was for OPENING ones.
@ blushapple: thanks! it's actually a New Zealand accent.
@ thechaowiththeglasses999: I'm not really a ripoff, I just said that to get your attention. It worked! XP
and everyone else: Thanks for being mainly supportive, I'll try hard not to let you down, and next week: AMVs.

07.21.2008 - 11:49 | vcoffeyPretty good list altogether. No big complaints. Would like to see more from you. Oh and congratulations.
Oh, and you should do a top eleven Anime closings. I find a lot of those are better than the openings on occasion.

When he got down to #1 I was expecting him to say the American opening of one piece with him saying "one" so much. Death Note and Evangelion I do share as favorite openings.
Although the 6th opening of Bleach with the song "ALONES" is my favorite Bleach opening. And while D. Gray Man isn't quite as popular, the 3rd opening with the song "Doubt & Trust" is one of my favorite anime openings.
Overall interesting take on that guy with the glasses top 11 review.

Aside from the fact that you insulted Nightmare which is one of my favorite bands it was fine. That song titled "the WORLD" is one of my favorites. But thats fine youre free to hate it.
One question where the fuck was Full Metal Alchemist or D. Gray Man?! I know its impossible to cover all of them but come on!

I was giving you a break, and I told myself, "Hey, maybe this guy is good," but I just didn't like it as much as the rest of the "That Guy" videos. First off, you tried a little too hard to knock off The Nostalgia Critic, and you made it quite clear on several occasions. It just isn't you though. Had you been a new character with your own personality and your own way of doing things, I may have liked it a little bit better. For the next video, I suggest you do your own thing because this really isn't you.
To my fellow viewers: Please don't vote this down, I'm trying to give some constructive criticism so he may have an even better video up next time.

Not being a huge anime fan, I didn't really get the list. It was nice to see what someone else thinks about anime openings though as my list probably would just include DragonBall and Sonic X as those are the only animes I really watched.
Speaking of Dragonball, while I'm not going to complain that it is not on the list, I am going to complain about what you said for Pokemon. You did say that it was one of the few American anime openings that didn't hurt the subject matter, but Dragonball pretty much had the Japanese opening translated to English. Well the 3rd opening is. It uses the same music and if I'm not mistaken more or less similar lyrics. I'm not talking about Dragonball Z or *sigh* Dragonball GT.

07.21.2008 - 12:32 | MGYay, I thought you’d pick the Neon Genesis intro as your favourite! But you don’t think it’s ‘teh graetest ahneemay evar!!!!11!!1!’?. Okay, but it is for me, especially End of Evangelion. Wow, that one left me speechless!
Oh, and thank you for what you said about the first Death Note intro, I’m grateful I’m not the only one who thought the same.

07.21.2008 - 12:41 | verkenderkraftwerkeh...The only anime I've ever watched are films and when I was a kid Dragonball
Z and Pokemon, so I wasn't really familiar with the shows on the list. However I still found that part about the death note show funny.

I just wanted to say I thought you did a pretty good job with this. I did like the list (love Trigun, Samurai Champloo, and especially Cowboy Bebop) and I thought the use of the visual editing was good, especially when you criticized yourself during the Lucky Stars sequence. While I did like your choices, I would have had a few different ones, such as The various works of Rumiko Takahashi (Ranma 1/2 1st and 2nd seasons, Mermaid Scar, etc), Excel Saga, or The First Hellsing series but this is just personal preference and you did mention recent intros. As I mentioned, This was a good first video and I look forward for to the next video.
